In the bottle this is very much TREE. Pure Oakness, almost harsh. Once it's applied and the drydown begins, it smooths out into a lovely soft wood with a sweet undertone. Very vanilla like without being feminine. I don't get any berries at all. It is very faint on me though, stays very close to the skin.

Where is my order? What is Click N Ship? How long does this take?
sarandipitee replied to Snow White's topic in BPAL FAQs
Has anyone ever had a problem with your CnS showing the proper address but the wrong name? I emailed the labbies about it, but if the package has already been shipped, is there anything that can be done? I know typically my mail lady puts any mail with my address into my box, regardless of the recipient's name. -
This is really different. The cologne is there ~ strong, masculine. There's a lovely effervescent quality that tickles your noise. It sweetens a little on my skin during drydown. It's a little headachey inducing for me, kind of in the same way Faunalia was but the longer I wear it, whatever bothers me lessens. I'll keep my partial and see what happens with aging. I'd love to smell this on a guy.

First initial sniff of the bottle is pretty much Elf V5, mixed with a little 0. Wet, it does this weird thing with the orange zest and smells like I mixed the Second of the Three Spirits with Elf V5. Drydown is pretty much the same, but with pine/eucalyptus. Not sure if I like this one, the notes don't really blend all that well on my skin.
-
Very much Gingerbread Poppet as others have mentioned, but with a sweet candy edge that softens the ginger spice. I actually prefer this over Poppet. I'm on the hunt for more of this one.

OMG. I have never, ever found a rose blend that works on me. Until now. Every other blend containing roses tends to just SCREAM soapy florals. What works here is the dark musk and myrrh - on my skin, the same myrrh that is in my beloved Fetish.Goth. Even after almost 30 min of drydown the rose is kept in check and the ylang ylang doesn't really make an appearance. I will most definitely be getting this in bottle form. Thanks labbies for frimping me this x2 this past order!! LOVE this scent.

Violet musk and oudh with black amber, ambergris, agarwood, black currant, dark musk, fig, and lavender incense. Sigh. This had so much potential. Dark musk, black current, fig and lavender incense? This should be epic. Instead, I suspect the violet musk turns this into a soapy mess on my skin. I'll give it a week or two and retest but I have a feeling Reverie is off to the swaps pile.

This is single note down and dirty patch. I do have some chocolate sediment in the bottle and I rolled this baby but nothing but patchouli is on my skin. Even after 20 min of dry down, it's just patch with a faint tobacco edge. I'll try it again and keep rolling the bottle, but I have a feeling this will have to age as long as Snake Oil for me to truly love it.

I'm going to a 3 o'clock showing this afternoon and I'm trying to figure out what to wear. I don't have any Severin or I'd be slathered in it (Snap love here too!), but I do have Bewitched, Incantation and Hexannacht. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Same here. I placed the order on May 18, got my CNS on June 14, and am still waiting for it. I actually received my June 16 order today (CNS'd on July 1, post-lockout) - which makes me really scared for the May 18 order. If I don't see it by the end of this week I will probably contact Canada Post and yell at them ask them to investigate. ETA, mine was unfortunately not a small order; it was a $113 order with stuff for both myself and a friend. So I'm seriously nervous about losing it. FWIW, I ordered May 14th, got shipping notification June 13th and I just got my package (6 bottles) last Thursday. The only other oustanding package (non-bpal, but of US origin) I had from before the strike just arrived today. Hope your smellies arrive soon guys!

Unleash the bawdy, unrestrained passion of the satyr! A ferociously masculine scent: sexual, vigorous, and truly wild. Red musk, patch and cinnamon. Very sweet like cinnamon gum. I quite like it.
-
It's really, really pretty. Creamy and citrus and vanilla lovely ~ but I have a vanilla chaos that's similar ~ more citrus and less cream but I think I like it better on me. Still this is lovely and I will gladly use my tester up ~ and try to find more oils with orange flower in them.
-
I love metal scents (Unfortunate Shopping Cart, The Robotic Scarab) but this doesn't work. Something in the grease or aftershave goes very herbal to the point of celery salt. The right person could pull this off and I'd love to smell it on a guy. Just not for me.
-
Rose and I have never really gotten along (except for St Foutin, but I think that's cause of the wine) but this could be something lovely for me. Like others have mentioned, this is a sweet, juicy, epic rose ~ a magical Beauty and the Beast type of rose. It's a little heady at first but then something really awesome happens - it doesn't turn to soap on my skin. It dries to a sweet, simple girly rose that hugs my skin. There's zero leather but the opium blends so lovely with the rose, giving it that kick that keeps it from being awful on me. I just may have found my first ottle worthy rose blend! ETA: ACK, spoke too soon, it's faded completely away, leaving only an extremely light, barest of rose. I still want to try to find a bottle and age it or wear it in my clocket since it's so damn lovely at first.

Clean, expensive hair product. Reminds me of a shampoo or styling agent a friend used to use back in high school. There is the barest whiff of cigarette smoke but pretty much this is shampoo. But fail on me. Thanks to freneticfloetry for letting me sample! ETA: and this one's a morpher. Still has the hair product essence but it's now a very faint, very girly almost like a skin musk on me. Hmm. Better, but still not something I'm likely to wear.
-
Oh my god. This is amazing stuff. Like so amazing I want to cuddle the back of my hand for the next week. Or two. Wet: On my skin this is a syrupy cola (I know, wtf, right?) with the sexiest hint of leather base. As it dries the patchouli comes out and the incense vibe kicks in. Since I amp the heck out of patch it stays to the forefront as the cola scent fades blending into the most sexy leather scent I've ever been able to wear. HUGE, MASSIVE, INDECENT love for Fetish.Goth. Leather almost NEVER works for me and I was so scared the latex would win but it's not the case. I tried the original Spanked and it was awful ~ chemical and rank. This, is everything I've ever wanted a sexy, leather blend to be. Love to my pick up arranger.

I have a Vanilla Chaos Theory that smells like orange lik-m-aid with some a floral undertone. I think it'll work.

This was a heartbreaker. Midway (original) does not love me. At all. Just like Snow White, Egg Nog and other foody scents this stuuff goes to straight up plastic funkiness on me. The sweet caramel sugary goodness is there, very faintly but unfortunately it's completely overwhelmed by the greasey, plastic burnt sugar smell that wins out. Sigh. Off the to swaps to someone who will love Midway more (and who doesn't have whacked out skin chemistry like I do). ETA: After about an hour of wear, it does lose the majority of the plasticky-burnt smell and settles into a really, sweet foody delight. But I can't handle the initial stage, so it's still off to swaps land.

Aquatics are pretty much migraine territory along with ozones (ambergris is nice in the background) and snow is iffy (so far yellow snowballs is the only one to work on me). Least favorite non-BPAL perfumes: anything currently hawked by kardashians or other pop stars of the moment that stink like fake candy musk. Yuck. If Beth made a custom blend for you, what would the notes be, and what would you want the label art to look like? It would smell of lavender buds, blackberry, sweet beeswax with myrrh and vanilla mixed in. Label art would be my slinky black cat Atticus, a well loved book and my down blanket. I'm a huge lover of fiction though, dear witch, I'll try to read anything. Seriously. OH! Vonnegut, always wanted to try his stuff. How do you feel about receiving gently used books as gifts? Hells yeah! Favorite stores (including clothing stores): I'm in Canada, pretty small town and I work for a clothing store so it's hard to pick a store that might be available where you are Switchee. I which I had more time to be crafty. I do write and I love to sing. Clothing & Jewelry Hair type: long, fine and straight. Lots of it. Basic brown. Skin Type: Pale, dry, sensitive Allergies (specifically B&B related): sometimes perfume oils with cinnamon can burn but its really only after applying immediately after showering. I am prone to breakouts so I'm pretty fussy about what I use on my face, but body stuff I don't have any specific allergies/issues. Other things to avoid: see above Tub, shower or both? BOTH. Do you have any allergies to metal? Yes. I wear costume stuff but it does make me break out in rashes or turns my skin green/black. I don't mind, only wear it for a few hours. Nose stuff however, super sensitive. Only gold or titanium - everything else causes major infection. Favorite gemstones: anything. really. Love raw gems and super expensive stuff. Sock/Shoe Size: 9 Random Questions: Random Questions: - On a scale of 1-5, how organized are you? Depends on the day. Good days 5. Bad days a 2. - Where, outside of the U.S. would you love to visit? (if you're international, this can be anywhere) Ireland, Italy, Australia, Thailand, Hawaii, St Marten, Iceland, ack, so many places, I love to travel -Where, inside of the U.S. would you love to visit? Hmm. I've been lucky to do some travel in the US. I think I'd like to see Arizona or Texas... but then Montana looks beautiful... and, I mean, Alaska - wow, looks stunning! For cities, I really want to see Boston, New Orleans, Savannah. -Favorite City in the US/World? London, England - Do people tell you that you act older, younger, or your age? A combination of all 3. -If I gave you a toy gun with flashing lights, would you hide and start shooting people from around corners OR would you thank me on the IGI thread and then quietly donate it (a niece, Oxfam, Goodwill, wherever)? (there are no wrong answers for this, so don't be afraid to answer honestly) I'd do my best Chris Pratt imitation (pew pew pew!) and then probably donate it to a local charity so a child could enjoy it. - What animal do you feel like the most? I am such a cat. - Your favorite feature about yourself: Mouth. And my laugh. - Do you live in a neighborhood or in the middle of nowhere? Small urban center in the middle of nowhere. -Have you ever thought, "oh, I'm going to get myself one of those one of these days" but then never do? List 1 under $10 and 1 over $10. Under $10 - mocha/crazy/whipped/ twenty named drink from Starbucks (I order 2 things only from that place since its so MUCH, price and ordering wise - pumpkin and chai lattes) Over $10 - decent mascara (a la Dior or other obnoxiously priced designer lash extender) - How do you feel about boi witches? Good? Boi or gurl don't matter. - Do you like garage sales (boot sales)? Yes! I also love thrift shopping. - I like to slather my food in : Every once in a blue moon I need blue cheese dressing. - State fairs or carnivals? Neither. We have the CNE in Toronto (which is 2.5 hrs away) or local town fairs, but... meh. - You throw caution to the wind and runaway to join a traveling circus. What job would you want ( a main performer, a side show, a behind the scenes spot, etc) and why? I'd want to be the announcer/ring leader. Top hat and tails are always classic. - What mythical or fantastic race of creatures (dragons, unicorns, griffins, elves, dwarves, faeries, etc.) do you most identify with? I'm a total bad ass elf maiden. Or, ice queen vampire. You decide. - Imagine that you're given a shoebox-sized time capsule, and you are asked to put any number of items in the box that symbolize who you are. The items can be may be anything you can imagine, and money is no object, but they must fit within the box. What do you choose? Bottle of bpal, my first ring from my guy from our first Christmas together, my galaxy s5, pics of my furbrats, my work name tag. - Do you need storage boxes/bottles/containers? Decorated or Plain? I only really could use an ammo box for imps since I just participated in the bpal holder swap. - The world has given you the day off. You hear that, no chores, responsibilities, or budget you have to follow. What would you do in those 24 hours? Honestly, my best days ever are the ones spent lounging in bed with my guy, eating ice cream and watching bad movies on netlix. Or chilly autumn evenings with blankets, a book and my cats. I'm really low key. - Do you like steampunk & if so what kind of steampunk item would you most like to receive? I think Steampunk is really cool but I have no real knowledge about it. Anything would be neat I guess! - Do you have an etsy shop? nope - Would you like to receive baked goods, if so what kind? Maybe something that would survive Canada Post. Homemade candy? I dunno. - What is something totally random (yes, that thing that just popped into your head) that hasn't been covered by any previous questions? Who wears short shorts? (yes that really just popped into my head. it's late and I'm to be up for work in 5 hrs). 2. I currently have a CSA and my significant other is perpetually out of town for work, so I've been doing a lot of canning and baking with my vegetables. How do people feel about canned good (pickles, salsa, etc) and vegetal baked goods (squash bread, zucchini bread). I make pickles and my mother jars everything else under the sun (srsly, I'm still trying to finish off her peach mango salsa from last year) so I'm going to say no, UNLESS it's jam. Then you can mail me all the raspberry/strawberry/rhubarb/blueberry fruitastic goodness. As for baking - if you think it can survive the journey to Canada (and Canada Post) I's any kind of bread is a plus. 3. Trading Post wants? ALL THE HAIR GLOSS. That stuff is amazing. I'm really into trying any amount of Snake Oil hair gloss or bath oil. I've never tried the BPTP soap before so that would be cool. I love goblin squirts for atmosphere sprays and my current loves are: erebos (huge insomniac here), exotic bazaar, and unspeakably evil temple. But I'm game to try anything. Bath oil samples would also be most welcome. Tissue tees are lovely. Or you can browse the Wishlist I made for family and boy: http://blackphoenixt...list/?wlid=4265 5. I'm Canadian, so my country's quite young in comparison to many others out there, so I tend to love reading/discovering about ancient times. Really no personal preference to the country itself, but when you can enter the ruins of say a temple that was built thousands of years ago - that fascinates me. Ancient China or Egypt or Rome or whatever. 9. Is there any sort of art commission you would like: cartoony, pin-up, fantasy, realistic, etc? If so, what subject would you like drawn (a picture of you, a character, a loved one or pet)? I would love to have someone tackle my favourite Comic Book characters. My guy painted me an amazing Wonder Women, but she's lonely looking on my wall. I adore Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers), Jenny Sparks, Emma Frost, The Bat Villains (Harley and Mr. J especially), Death, Dream and Delerium from Sandman, Constantine... 10. What kind of snacks or candy from other countries/states would you like to try? I love funky chocolate bars, penny candies, mints (there was this AMAZING kind of mints that I received from ReallyZeb I think in a candy swap that I still need to try and locate more off), licorice, tim tams, etc. (If any SW is looking for some Canadian Candy - ketchup seasoning for popcorn/chips, maple candies, laura secord, etc let me know!) 14. Do you have a favorite internet meme, character or pop culture fandom? I LOVE all things pop culture but tend to avoid fandom since it can be a scary place. Do you have a Facebook profile (or other social media) that you are comfortable linking to aid your witch in stalking? Please note whether you are willing to add BPALers as friends. I've updated all that info into the google spreadsheet listed in the mod's signature, feel free to add me on anything. Notes (Here's where you can add additional information you'd like your Switch Witch to know!): 16. Anybody interested in something from RCCC, whether it's con-exclusive merch or from a particularexhibitor or artist? I'll have to take a look, but if it's anything to do with any of the comics I squeed about in my survey OR anything from Kelly Sue or Matt Fraction, I'm so there. 17. How important to you is regular contact / chatter with your witch? basically, whatever my Witch is comfortable with is fine with me. I love being emailed and snail mailed and trick mailed by nacho witches and all that jazz but if you're more laid back, or shy, or not into it - don't worry dear witch. That's cool with me. 18. Do you like puzzles/riddles/treasure hunts and that sort of thing? I love puzzle video games like Professor Layton or escape from the locked room thing. I don't like actual puzzles though. I do like poetry! I'm kinda all over the place with favourites: Sylvia Plath, Tennyson, Robert Graves, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Robert Browning, Emily Bronte, Walt Whitman, Christina Rosetti, Baudelaire, Paul Verlaine etc. I tend to collect bits and pieces of verse vs entire collections from poets - sometimes it's only one poem or even a line or two. 30. If you were to get a custom bottle from House of Gloi made for you what notes would create your perfect blend? I outlined something similar in my questionnaire but based on HoG's notes I'd pick: beeswax and honey, lavender, vanilla bean and sweet cream. Might help curb my insomnia. 43. If your witch were to take a photograph (or paint or whatever) of something just for you, what would it be? Landscape? Flower? Critter? Something to illustrate a favorite quote? I WOULD LOVE SOMEONE TO CREATE SOMETHING BASED ON THE NICK DRAKE QUOTE I POSTED ABOVE. I've trying FOREVER to figure out how to make a tattoo design inspired by that quote. 44. What is your favorite Halloween animal or other symbol/decoration? Black cat, skulls and jack-o-lanterns. 45. Makeup, especially of the indie variety. Nail polish, nail wraps, eyeshadow, lipstick/gloss, etc. Y/N? Specific preferences (color, finish, product, brand, etc.)? I love geek chic cosmetics! Though, unless you're in Canada don't send me nail polish. It's a prohibited item to mail. I like all eye colours except black or red shadows (I'm paaaallleeee), love gloss of any kind but lipstick is not my friend. 46. How do you feel about profanity and off-color humor? It's what gets me through the day. I think I've probably said fuck more times than any other word. Ever. Sarcasm is therapy for me, as is laughter. Off-colour humour is fine, as long as it's not at the expense of someone else. 47. I make hairsticks...would you like/use them? Sticks fall out of my hair sadly. I have the finest, straightest hair. 48. Does anyone here LARP? If so, what kind of LARP? And what kind of character do you play? Don't LARP. 49. Would you completely freak out if I sent you a chocolate covered scorpion or some other food oddity? This includes things like 'bacon powder' from thinkgeek.com. I hate bugs so maybe nothing like that but the idea of chocolate + bacon is intriguing. 50. This has kind of been covered, but, are you ok with receiving canned jam (from a veteran jammer!) and if so, what flavors would you like and not like? ALL THE JAMS! Raspberry, strawberry+rhubarb, peach, etc. 51. Let's talk nail polish. What colors do you love? Hate? Which brands are you dying to try? Have you ever used indies? Do you like glitter? Any textures to avoid (glitter, sand, etc)? I love OPI, China Glaze and Zoya best. Never used indies (shipping issues, see above) and I love grit and glitter. 52. How do you feel about getting a special Halloween plushie? OH YES! I love me some plushies. 53. I'm in Japan, anything specific you might want from the land of the rising sun? OMFG ANYTHING!! I also LOVE Sailor Moon (hint, hint). 54. Are there any GC scents that you know you love, but for whatever reason, keep putting off buying bottles of? Oh man, I am so bad for that. I missed out on Tintagel for that very reason. Right now I'd say: Haunted, White Rabbit, Crowley and Bordello. 55. I know not everyone likes Lush products, but if you do, which Lush items would you like to get from your Witch? Bath Bombs are my jam, yo. The Wiccy Magic Muscles massage bar is a staple in my home. I also love their foot powder. 56. Is there anywhere (in the US) that you are dying to get away to? Also when would you be able to get away. Would this even be something you were interested in? If so, go look at the Southwest sale for routes and dates and times. Sounds very generous, but I'm heading into the busiest time of my work year and I won't have any time off once we hit Mid october until February of next year. 57. If you are ok with receiving t-shirts, what size are you, do you prefer tissue tees, normal crew tees, babydoll etc? ALL THE TEES! I love Teefury and RIPTapparel. Tissue tees and babydolls preferred over normal crew tees. Large normally unless it runs small than got to XL. 58. THINKGEEK! Who loves it - do you have a wishlist on there?? What are some things you are jonesing for on there for under $20? I don't ever really go to thinkgeek to be honest. https://www.thinkgeek.com/brain/account/wishes.cgi?a=d&wid=82114dc93 59. Zombies, yes or no? Yes! Zombies freak me out. But I still read/watch anything about them. 60. Would you like arm warmers/fingerless gloves? If so, what length? just beyond the wrist, almost to the elbow, full sleeves? I like both! Full sleeves or just past wrist. 61. Do you feel a particular affinity for a specific animal/s? Cats especially. Domestic cats to big cats, I love them all I also love fennec foxes, red foxes and wolves. 62. Anyone have any Paintbox Soapworks loves? OMG YUUSS! I adore the Queen is Dead soap. I've never tried any of tarty's other creations - I would love to try her sorbettos but any kind of soap is good. 63. How would you feel if your witch or a minion of your witch showed up in person at your house with goodies? Thrilled? Annoyed? Completely creeped out? I'm rarely home, and tbh it would be a little strange. Can't leave anything on my doorstep either as I'm in an apartment building and it would get stolen in a heartbeat. 64. Do you have a ravelry account? Tell me about your yarn obsessions. I'm still, STILL trying to teach myself. Witch, you got any secrets to knitting or links to helpful videos please feel free to share. No supplies though, because I've barely touched the yarn I already have. 65. Sock Dreams, yay or nay? You know, I've never even looked at their site. Upon browsing, I do like their footie socks and anklets and midcalves and I'm all about bright colours and funky patterns. Please no knee high or thigh highs though over the knee might work. I really like these. 66. Knitted items like scarves, shawls, dishclothes....yay or nay? Favorite fibers? Favorite colors? SURE! I live for scarves, shawls not so much and I have a ton of dishclothes already. Fibres, merino or softer, non-scratchy yarn. I would love a chocolate brown scarf or something to go with this parka I own or I would love an HP themed scarf (any house but Hufflepuff). I you want to surprise me with a cool design or colour scheme go for it. 67. Is your Amazon WL up-to-date? I actually refuse to shop at amazon after I had a horrible customer service experience there over 2 years ago, so sorry I don't have a WL for that site (not that I would be upset to receive something purchased from there, they have good pricing and free shipping, so I completely get why people love them). I do have my etsy wishlist in my blog and I will be adding somethings to it of all different kinds/prices to help out my Witch for some ideas if they're struggling. 68. If you were to receive handmade caramels, would it matter if they were made with raw cream (unpasteurized)? nope 69. Would you enjoy getting a sampling of quality incense taken from various sources? Are there types of incense you know you don't like? Would you want a burner for loose incense and a few charcoals to get you started with that, or would you rather stick to simpler types? I've only ever experience the cheap ones on a stick that gave me raging headaches so I have no idea if I'd like incense at all. And the boy is smell sensitive so it probably wouldn't get used much, sorry. 70. I know we already had a question about needed kitchen accessories, but what about spices? I love cooking so spice away! All kinds, even kitchen spice staples are welcome/ 71. Would you like handmade stationary or cards? How about a quill pen? Sure, handmade stuff is welcome. Quill pen, probably no. 72. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being "gimme that ghost pepper!" and 1 being "oh, that's a bit too much black pepper for me" Where is your heat tolerance? pretty solid 5. I like heat, in average doses. 73. What is your favorite type of Halloween candy? All of it. No joke. Especially though, anything chocolate and peanut butter or kisses (chewy molasses candies, not the hershey chocolate things) or rockets. 74. Do you need or want any cosy footwear, like fluffy slippers, or slipper socks etc? SLIPPERS. I LOVE SLIPPERS. Knitted ones, oversized stuffed animals, whatevers. It's cold where I am. 75. What do you most look forward to each Fall? First and best - the scents in the air. If you've never smelled the air on a crisp morning in northern Ontario - maples leaves, and smoke from chimney's and ack - it's amazing. Secondly, I loathe humidity and where I live, it's lovely in the Summer, except for the awful layer of mugginess you carry with you. Ugh. I much prefer the way the air cools and the breeze picks up and the early Autumn thunderstorms that occur nightly for a few weeks. And well - sights like this are amazing. 76. What gadgets do you use in your everyday life and would you like a cool case for them - with your favourite fandom or artwork or saying? I just got a Galaxy S5 and would love a cool fandom inspired case! 77. Are there any beauty accessories you need or would like? For example make-up brushes, facial brushes or eyelash curlers. I'm useless with a eyelash curler and I have a really good set of brushes, so I'm good thank you. 78. Would you be disappointed to get one big box, or would you prefer a bunch of little ones? And would you be disappointed if your witch actually had it together early and sent it to you sooner than later? I'm good with what ever is good (and affordable) for my witch. Shipping to Canada is not cheap, so you do what works for you, dear Witch. 79. Stores are putting out their halloween PJs and undies! Would you be happy to get any in a package? And if so, what size? For PJ pants, do you like cotton or flannel? PJ PANTS ALL THE WAY. I live in comfy pants. Cotton is great (flannel too hot for me) and I prefer it loose and comfy - L/XL please. 80. Do you like M&Ms? But of course. Peanut and Peanut butter are my faves. Anything but plain really. 81. How about wax melts? No thank you. I have buckets of scentsy I'm not using so I really have no use for wax tarts either. 82. Would you like a subscription for Spotify? We JUST got spotify in Canada (actually it's still not available for everyone, beta site still) so I don't think that would work here yet - but it's a great idea. I love it so far. Kicks songza's ass really. 83. What scents from the Lillith update would you like to try? MY WITCH IS LOVELY AND IS SENDING ME BLUEBERRY PICKING. Hugs friend. 84. Would you be interested in receiving a box of sugar cube skulls? They're really cute but I don't use sugar in my coffee or tea so it would be a waste I'm afraid. 85. Skin care routine? Fave cleanser? Toner? Moisturizer? What about body lotions? Any particular brand or scent? Lip balms? Yay or nay? LIP BALMS. ALL THE TIME. My skin is temperamental, and I've got vats of body butters but I can always use lip balm. Anything from burts bees to Haunt's lip lusts to anything on etsy or if you love a brand and you think I'll dig it please send. I do like more natural things over say, blistex though. 86. Is there anything you would like from Salem MA (mugs, keychains, postcards, etc.or witchy supplies like incense, candles, books)? Ooh, I love magnets for little souvenirs or a candle would be cool. 87. Would you be interested in any of the items in LisaNut's etsy shop? Scarves are always welcome. Love the infinity ones. 88. Spiders (as in cute knit kind) yes or no? Hmm, not really. They squick me. Bugs in general are a no go. 89. Pillows (the mostly decorative type)? I love pillows! Funky throw pillows are always cool. 90. Any kind of bags - big, small, medium, purse, grocery, etc? I have a lot of purses and I'm notorious for my collection of reusable shopping bags, plus my sling pack/back pack/carry on bags are endless, so unless it was something super unique or fandom oriented - probably a no. 91. Is there anything special coming up in your life? I'm going to NYCC! Super stoked about that. 92. Which one scent would you want from each of the following updates: Metamorphosis, Lilith and GC? Meta: hmm, Question Mark looks amazing. GC - I'd have to say White Rabbit or Baku or Chimera ( I seem to have misplaced my bottle, le sigh). 93. Are you interested in anything from NYCC? I'm going to be there, so I'm fine on that front. 94. Would something from the Tokyo Game Show (e.g. postcards, fans) possibly interest you? I'm not sure what that is, but if you think I'd dig it, sure. 95. Would you enjoy any of these couple rings? Or anything from the same store's Halloween collection? I LOVE the Han and Leia ones but my guy doesn't wear rings. Really awesome idea though. I really ADORE the "Something wicked..." and "Something in the wind..." bracelets though. 96. If you imbibe at all ... preference between: wine/beer/cocktails and then glassware and/or bar-ware? cocktail gadgetry? Books on the subject/recipes? would you want sample bottles of local/regional/small batch craft spirits if they were home decanted and labeled? I'm a huge beer/cider/wine lover. I prefer microbreweries or imports and books on mixing are always welcome. I have a lot of gadgetry already though. Pint glasses are always welcome, if you can find affordable shipping. 97. Would you like some chai, lemon, rose water or other flavored sugar cubes? No thank you. 98. Jamberry nail wraps? No thank you, I prefer polish and I ruin it so fast anyway at work, it would be a waste of money. 99. If you had to choose one currently available book (used-but-obtainable counts if you do used) costing $20 or under for your Witch to buy for you, what would it be? OMG - hmm, great question!! How about The Perks of Being a Wallflower since I loved the movie or maybe Sex Criminals Vol 1. I will update my bpal wishlist (it's in my sig) as soon as possible and here's my etsy.com https://www.etsy.com...ef=favs_index_1 to help show what I like. If you see baby stuff saved it's not for me as I don't have kids (my bestie is due in October and I'm trying to find gifts). I will be away in NYC from Oct 6-12 so if you mail something to big for my mail slot at my apartment I won't be able to get it until after I am home (let me know via a mod so I can arrange to have packages held for a few days if you have to send something, or wait until I'm back ) Notes (Here's where you can add additional information you'd like your Switch Witch to know!): I'm just gonna copy my FB profile: Constant reader and movie freak. Music lover and hidden poet. Taurus on the cusp of Gemini. Cat person. Shopaholic. Lover of all things shiny. Marshmallow centre covered by hard candy coating. Gypsy. Ninja. I WILL LOVE EVERYTHING. I PROMISE!! And huge HUGS and THANKS in advance. [

You've got my 2 fav coconut scents locked in ~ Obatala and Black Pearl. I do also really like Elegba, but recommend only if you like tobacco. Sadly I hated Tiki Princess. It did the same thing Velvet Tiki did on me and morphed into this rancid celery salt smell with a slight plastic Snow White feel. Huge disappointment. I'm going to hang onto it and retest in case I'm having a bad skin chemistry week. Good luck with your choices!

That's exactly what I got as well. It was almost a pure SN coconut.

Chaos Theory VI: Recursive Self-Similarity v7
sarandipitee replied to Kitrona's topic in Limited Editions
#545 ~ Rich, boozy and butterchotchy - really reminds me of Dooley's Toffee liqueur with (sadly) a very, very plastic note that I can even detect lightly in the bottle. On my skin it's all plastic, all the time. As it dries, some of the plastic fades, but it's still really strong. This is only the 2nd time I've had a vanilla note from the lab be so chemical like; the first being Snow White 2009. I'm going to let it sit at least 6 months and use this as a scent locket since I adore the initial blast of toffee like goodness I get. EDIT: Huh. I think the plastic is really a plastic pretending leather note and out of no where comes a deep berry note. I think a little more aging and this could be amazing on me. #620 ~ This is beautful. Tangy, zingy citrus with a candy like quality. If you've ever eaten lik-m-aid you'll know exactly what I mean. The orange brightness softens and a creaminess comes over the blend. Something floral and ambery and heady comes out from behind and goes slightly powdery on me as those scents tend to, but the creamy, candy citrus wins in the end. I love this one! -
Here are pics of Cat and the Unknown book: and Liberty: I'll post better ones of liberty along with Dungeon Crawl later. I just woke up from a 5 hour power nap ~ first sleep I'd had in about 30 hrs.

Vampire Tarot: The Magician
sarandipitee replied to angelicruin's topic in 15 Painted Cards From A Vampire Tarot
Very herbal and medicinal like and I pretty much hate the initial wet stage. Yet as the oil dries this deep, complex sorta like root beer/licorice in the woods thing happens and I kinda dig it. I would love to smell it on a guy as it is quote masculine, even for me. I think I'll re skin test in a few months. I may end up loving this for October. -
In the Imp: Incense, sharp floral and herbs Wet: Strangely enough I get pencil crayons. Immediately reminds me of grade school and opening your pencil case up and breathing in. Thankfully the floral notes are not amping like mad on my skin. The frankincense stays in charge and keeps the carnation from turning into rotting flowers. Dry: Incense and softly spicy florals. There is the barest touch of powder which makes me actually prefer the wet stage. Verdict: The imps a keeper and I will age it a little to see what happens. I'm hoping this will end up a true floral I can wear that I like.
