Portrait of an Unidentified Man as Mephistopheles

This one smells VERY similar to Tombeur on my skin, but replace the patch with oakmoss. Ok, so maybe the love child of Tombeur and Ekhidna. It's nice, but there's this tiny aquatic feel that is making my head cringe a little (my head cannot do ozone or aquatics). It does lessen as the lavender comes out, but I think I'll stick with Tombeur (or finally buy myself that bottle of Crowley).

    Bette Noir

I tested Bette way back when the Irredeemable line first debuted (and if you haven't read it, you should - so good) but was a silly pants and didn't bother with a review. I decided to try it again since my tastes and body chem have drastically changed. Sadly, this isn't for me. Drydown is pretty much a faded fruit and floral shampoo. I get zero throw which is good, since it's sorta headachy. Imp is off to be rehomed.

    Al-Shairan

Wow, this one. It's such a different cinnamon scent for me (and I'm a girl who loves her cinnamon). It's clove and cinnamon first with a very small orange fruit centre. The patch and the incense are very well-behaved, as I can barely detect them. I kinda dig this (and I bet this is GLORIOUS with age) but it's a heavy scent and one that I don't think I'll wear too much. Still, I'm going to hang onto my imp. He'll be perfect for Fall.

    Exhibit Hall Fatigue Bath Oil

I decided to walk 6K after I got home from work (on top of the nearly 2k walk to my job and the 8 hours on my feet). Needless to say I was pretty damn sore and exhausted afterwards. I decided a hot soak with the remnants of my bottle (sadface) would help. It's amazing how you can feel cold and hot at the same time. While it's very refreshing (peppermint heaven) I also find it super destressing and relaxing. My achy bod is feeling quite a bit better now. I'll have to stalk etsy and the sales thread to see if I can score another bottle.

    Lolita

Super lemon and orange but on dry down a slithering green undertone appears. Candy at first, but with s hidden floral with bite, it's one I love for Spring, even though the heliotrope goes a little tiny bit sour on me.

Ghoul-Haunted Woodland of Weir Atmosphere Spray

I hope one day Puddin decides to make more of this because it's hands down my most favourite scent of all time (if there was a perfume oil version I'd be bathing in it). It's a forest in a bottle, old, dark and deep. Oak and pine twist together with creeping vine and moss, but like the others have mentioned - this is a warm forest, maybe sun dappled enough to heat the wood. It's pure magic and makes me think of fairy tales.

    Pickled Imp

I love cinnamon, so Pickled Imp is a huge favourite of mine. Warm and spicy vanilla and when you breath in deep you get a whiff of clove and pine. Not much throw, but it's perfect for those colder days when you want something to warn you up.

    Midwinter's Eve

2004 version I love Christmas, and Christmas scents but they all seem to turn into candles on my skin. This blend (in a GORGEOUS green 10ml bottle) is the lone exception. It's a beautiful spicy plum, mulled wine with the cool tickle of winter floweres in my throat. It's very close to my skin though, with almost zero throw. But I'm keeping this for my scent locket and for those indulgent days when I can slather it everywhere, and ignore the guilt of my bottle running out. I might try to track down the 2007 version to see how it compares.

    Round Dance

Strawberry and cream notes are usually straight up plastic so I didn't have a lot of high hopes for this one - even with the lavender and carnation backdrop (2 notes I amp). But this is GORGEOUS on me. Sweet hay and strawberry mixed with the most beautiful carnation (a note I disliked for years but am now discovering how awesome it is on me) tinged with the faintest lavender. It's close to the skin but lasts for a looong time. I'm seriously debating 2 bottles since I love it for bed time as well.

    Lilium Inter Spinas

This is gorgeous. An unexpected given the lily of the valley and the hibiscus. It's a beautiful fig, apple blossom and neroli, beautifully blended with the sandalwood. I'm going to keep my imp for now and see how much I wear this but I think for summer this could be heavy in my rotation.

A Mirror of Spring Pleasures on Kites (2016)

Very nice and sweet floral, but I'm amping the gardenia over everything. It's too floral for my liking and I wish the blackberry wine was more dominant so I'll be passing on my decant. Anyone one who loves a softer candy floral will love this one.

    The Imperfect Enjoyment

It's very clovey at first but once it dries down I'm in love. It's a gorgeous myrrh patch with a pitch and clove undertone. I have a lot of myrrh and patch in my collection but I think this is unique enough to require a bottle. Feels like my beloved fetish.goth minus the latex.

    Lucifer

I recently discovered that I like vetiver, and better yet - it likes me. Initially on my skin Lucifer is a very dark and fig sweetened smoky vetiver. Almost immediately after the raw patchouli comes in. It's kinda freaking sexy somehow, but over time it softens and the amber and fig smooth everything up deliciously. Dry down is a lovely amber with rich fig. I'm really loving this one, and can see me wearing this often. May need a backup bottle, tbh.

    Greater Horseshoe Bat

This is GORGEOUS. There's never been a beeswax blend I didn't love, but musk can sometimes be wonky on me. Here, it's sweet and cuddly musk with a beautiful rosewood undertone. Something is a little powdery, but my nose interprets it as sorta herbal (almost like lavender) so it's lovely to me (I suspect it's the labdanum). It's a very comforting scent and I'm looking at this for the rainy days or days when I feel a little blue. Also, great for wearing to bed - I don't find it sexy on my skin, but I can see it if you amped the labdanum you might.

    Drunk Uncle

BOOZE. Almost SN whiskey (but like, maple whiskey - this is sweet). I want to say there's some candy in here (breath mints?) and it becomes even more foodie on the drydown. It actually dries down to a very wearable alcohol based blend. I'll enjoy my decant.

    Snow White

This was my 2009 review. My tastes have changed, as has my body chem, so I thought I'd try it again. Sadly 2015 is still as plasticky in the vial as it is on my skin. I think I have a nose blind spot when it comes to this perfume, because all I smell is plastic doll, with a leeetttlllee bit of vanilla. I should also make note that I often have difficulties with vanilla notes in general, often getting some plastic on the drydown. I'm glad I tried it again to satisfy my curiosity and I'll pass the decant on as frimp so it can find a new home.

    Blossoming Vulva

I'm amping the sweet oak and bourbon vanilla most, but it's such a soft scent I don't mind. It is indeed very creamy and sweet - but not foodie. There's a bit of tea blossom mixed in there too and only a hint of lotus. I do like this, and am very happy a friend gave me a sample to try, but my skin eats it so fast. Wouldn't be worth a bottle purchase, but I may try to track down a decant.

    The Avenue

Dark, unsweetened chocolate over clove and big kick of pepper, quite smokey. I agree with Lizzie, this is the Candy Butcher chocolate. It's quite potent at first but on drydown everything comes together in this amazing, spicy chocolate dipped and vanillla sweetened amber that oddly, reminds me of one of my favourite Lush bath bombs. It's very different from any other chocolate oils I own or have tried before. Quite nice, even with the morphing.

    The Contrast

Jebus, this is awesome. I love frank and this does not disappoint. Sometimes the most simple blends are the most brilliant. If you're a fan of these notes, buy a bottle. I'm so happy with this one.

    The Strange Old Woman

This is all cinnamon and caramel pecans on me which is amazing and so yummy. There's a little but of the pastry there - but I amp cinnamon and caramel most. It's a surprising gamble that paid off since sugar and caramel can be bad on my skin. It does feel a little almond/cherry/marzipan when wet but that disappeared quickly. This is my most foodie perfume and I love it.

    Marshmallow Cookie Pie

^^ This. It's the most DIVINE chocolate cookie smell in bottle, but even there I detect the plastic. On my skin it's a plastic doll mess. I really wish I could do that vanilla/marshmallow note since this is awesome.

    Dana O'Shee

Usually cream or milk notes are rancid on my skin, but this one gives me hope. The grains almost go 'perfumey' on me though. I'll wait a bit and retest it just to make sure.

    Aizen-Myoo

Very pretty and feminine, suitable for all ages. Very safe too, and work appropriate as well. It's quite nice, but not for me. Glad I had a chance to test it.

    Redoul Honey

Very sweet and green honey. A ripened berry, not a fresh/tart one. I quite like this, very close to the skin. I think I'll wear it more in Summer over Winter so I'll use my imp and decide on a bottle then.
  25. sarandipitee

    Depraved

I amp the ever lovin' heck out of patch, so for me this is pretty much SN patchouli. There's the faintest hint of fruit, but it's only detectable with my nose to my hand. I do like patch, but Goblin is much better suited to my tastes.
