In the imp, this smells like dragon's blood and... plastic. Well, that's not a good sign. On my skin, it's dragon blood, but the honeyed vanilla is a lot better on my skin, not plasticy. Oh, this is nice.

In the imp, it's pretty straight forward; dragon's blood and musk, and it's the same on my skin. Interesting, we'll see how it goes. Ends up being a darker scent, fades quickly on me. Not for me.

In the imp, I'm definitely getting the mint aspect of this, and whoo boy, is it strong. Light application, I think. On my skin, the mint's definitely there, and there's stuff underneath it, I just can't get to it. Ends up fading quickly, not for me.

To be honest, I was a little reluctant to test this and passed in the first round of decants b/c of the lavender, but now I've seen all these reviews comparing it to Hanami, which I like a fair bit, so we'll see what this does. In the decant, I'm getting the lavender. Damnit. On my skin, I'm getting the tea first and foremost... which is interplaying with the lavender, the latter which appears to be dragging the entire scent down to nothing with it. However, the tea bitchslaps the lavender, and that and the ginger dominate for me. Not quite what I'm looking for.

This is definitely a darker scent; in the imp, I'm getting what I'm pretty sure is the black narcissus and the orange blossom combining. Light application. On my skin, the vanilla seems to be mellowing things out, while the narcissus and orange blossom amp. Hrm. We'll see what this does. Ends up being a sharp, orangey floral. Not really for me.

This smells very similar to Stinky in the bottle; milk and honey and baby powder, but it's very faint, with a muskier scent coming out on second sniff. On my skin, I'm getting the same scent as Stinky, but, again, fainter, with maybe a muskier note coming out. Hrm. Let's see what a few hours does to this. Pretty much ends up being Stinky on me, not quite for me.

In the decant, I'm getting a very sharp, dry floral. Hrm. On my skin, this smells almost... aquatic, and sharp. Bwa? We'll see what this does. Ends up being a sharp aquatic cleaner scent on me, obviously, not quite working the way I hoped it would.

In the imp, I'm getting the sweetness of the lotus, maybe with the amber in it too. On my skin, it's lotus and amber, nothing on the myrrh and sandalwood just yet. We'll see what this does. Very sweet, but it's faded to nothing within the hour; not for me.

Got a decant of this, eager to test it out. In the imp, I'm getting an icy pomegranate note, maybe a bit of flowers underneath. On my skin, it's a really nice pomegranate floral, similar to Persephone. Hmmm. This would be nice to moisturize with, going to see if I can find a bottle. If not, I'll wait till next winter for it to come around again.

2007 Blend Thanks again to janine_hell for sending me an imp in the bottle as a BPAL Easter Egg! In the bottle, this is all leather and musk, very dark, very intimidating. On my skin, it's that same combo of leather and musk, with a bit of the woods coming in, maybe the dusty rags a bit. We'll see how this goes. Ends up being mostly a dusty leather scent on me, not quite for me.

Yep, that's a Cosmo all right, in the imp and on my skin. We'll see if it works as a scent on me. Not quite sure what to think of this at the moment, going to give it a full skin test soonish. Full skin test makes it go a bit cleaning solution on me, sadly. Going to pass this on.

In the imp, I get a pretty even mix of coffee and egg nog, with spices. Mmm. On my skin, it's pretty much coffee and spices and a hint of the egg nog underneath. I'm liking this on the one wrist so far, going to give it the full skin test soonish to see if I like it as much as I think I do. In a fuller skin test, and with comparison to Mother Shub's Spiced Lait de Chevre, both are similar, and I like the latter better than the former, so I'll be passing this on.

Thanks so much for the BPAL Easter Egg, Usagi! In the decant, this smells like pine and spices, for sure. On my skin, I get apples and pine and mulling spices? Sadly, it fades quickly, so, not quite for me. Glad I got to try it, though.

In the imp, I'm getting a deep, sweet woozy scent. Hm. Can't wait to see how this turns out. On my skin, I'm getting the magnolia and the oleander, I think, with the musk coming up underneath. We'll see how this goes. The magnolia and oleander combine in a creamy, dark way on me, but it's not something I think I'm going to keep.

First of the Ars Draconis scents that I've ever tested, eager to see how this turns out. In the imp, I'm getting a salty sort of scent with resin. On my skin, it's pretty much a salty aquatic with dragon's blood; we'll see how this turns out. Ended up doing a second test of this, as I wasn't quite sure what to think of it, which ended up being a saltier scent, not so much of the aquatic, and nothing really remarkable, to be honest. Passing this one on.

Testing these as I decant them out. This one is a very creamy, vanillaish lilac, and, how shall we say it, very... suggestive, which might be the tonka. Like, not even knowing the name or the image, I would've thought of a dick. On my skin, the lilac comes forward first and foremost, and the smoky vanilla. We'll see what this does. Ends up being pretty single note lilac. Going to pass this one on, as it's just not for me.

Again, testing while decanting. Why hello thar, anise. My oh my, you're quite strong in the bottle. Applying lightly to my skin. Very much anise on my skin. We'll see if this changes at all. And the anise fades out real quick, and there's nothing left. Again, prolly going to pass this one on.

Testing these as I decant them out. In the bottle, I'm getting amber and what might be the tea, unsure, to be frank. On my skin, I think I'm getting the amber, the vanilla, the fruits, and the tea, can't be quite certain. We'll see what this one does. Ends up being mostly amber and myrrh, very unexpectedly manly, and faded quickly for me. Going to be passing this one on in sales, I think.

Testing this as I'm decanting scents out. I'm getting honey, booze, and fruits and maybe the tobacco lurking underneath. Very boozy, very strong. On my skin, it's pretty much honeyed fruit and booze. We'll see how this goes. This is drying down to a beautiful boozy, honey-vanilla scent. This one's going to get the full skin test sometime soon as a potential bottle for ordering. Gave it the full test (wrists and neck) today, and I'm going to be seeking out partials/imps to fill out my bottle, and buying a backup bottle before the Shungas leave, for sure.

Lavender in the imp, lotus on my skin. Hrm. We'll see how this goes. Lavender fights with lotus, and wins. Bah.

Pretty much lavender in the imp, probably won't end up well. On my skin, I get a bit of lilac, but the lavender is quickly taking things, as ever, to nothing. Beh.

In the imp, I'm getting vetiver and lavender. Well, this should be quite interesting. ON my skin, quickly goes to nothing. Yep, lavender continues to work as it always does on me, which is to say that the blend goes to nothing in about thirty seconds.

In the imp, this smells like cedarwood and sage, pretty straightforward there. Same on my skin, not really my style and not expecting too much change.
