Before I review this scent, I have to mention that my decant is now around 10 years old at the time that I am reviewing this. So my review might be different from reviews by others made when the scent was still new and fresh. My decant has aged very well and is still wonderful after all this time and perhaps even better now aged than when it was still new. In the imp and just applied to skin it is sweet, maybe fruit and/or floral. I smell something that might be rose and perhaps something herbal and something sharper and lethal, though that last impression is probably due to the name of this scent. Lilith doesn not smell alcoholic in the slightest. The scent deepens into a beautiful sweet, fruity, floral, musky and herbal scent with a bit of tartness. The fruityness smells like red wine or berries which combines really well with the rose, which isn't too strong. I am not sure what myrrh smells like, but I am guessing it is the bit of herbalness I am smelling. The black musk rounds out this scent nicely. On my shirt this scent is much less sweet and a lot more herbal and floral, and stronger on the red wine. When I compare the scent on my skin to the one on my shirt, they are like two different scents, but in the same scent family. On my shirt the scent smells darker. After about three hours a light incense note starts to emerge on my skin. After Four hours I notice that the scent is getting lighter on my skin but on my shirt it is actually getting stronger. On my skin a lot of the fruityness has gone now (though there is still a little left) but on my shirt the red wine has gotten stronger and the herbalness has gotten lighter. After fifteen hours there is still a faint scent left on my skin, a little sweet and a little musky. On my shirt the scent is still going strong with all the notes noticeable. To smell the scent on my skin I have to put my nose to my skin, but my shirt is wafting Lilith all over the place when I move and I can also smell it when I sit still. I think Lilith is probably an excellent scent for a scent locket! To me Lilith is like the wicked sister of Glasgow and I find I love this a lot. I love sweet scents with depth. I also love the tartness in this scent which makes it different from other sweets scents. I keep smelling my wrists and the scent is making me very happy. I think for me this scent is suitable for a lot of weather types, situations and moods because to me it smells wonderful and happy but it is also a scent that on me and with my skin chemistry is not an offensive scent to the nose, for me and for others. Like all BPAL scents I feel this is great for all genders, nothing is masculine or feminine, it is whatever and however it makes you feel. In the same way all BPAL scents are also innocent and sensual at the same time because it depends on the wearers personality, mood and vibe. And it is suitable for all ages (most BPAL scents are in my opinion, perhaps only the ones with alcoholic notes and tobacco/smoke notes are not). Even though Lilith has a red wine note in it, it does not smell alcoholic so I think it is suitable for all ages.

At the time of this review, my imp of Scherezade is 10+ years old, so my review of this aged scent might differ from reviews made by others of the new and fresh scent. In the imp I smell sweet incensy, musky goodness. On skin I first smell the incense and the musk and some sweetness. The combination of the red musk with the Middle Eastern spices is very lovely. The red musk is probably what is creating a little sweetness in this scent when applied to the skin, though it isn't a lot. A few minutes in I can also detect the spices more clearly. This scent might not be the best for use in a scent locket. I put some on the shirt I am wearing and I can barely smell it on the fabric. With most of BPAL'S scents the scent is strong on fabric, but that is not the case with Scherezade. I even applied some more on my shirt about 15 minutes later just to make sure. On fabric the effect is a bit of a spicy clean scent. You can smell it but the effect isn't impressive. Apparently Scherezade needs to be applied to skin to really blossom. That is where the musk, the incensyness and the sweetness really come out to play. On skin it really is a beautiful scent. It is comforting and warm and makes me feel balanced and relaxed and also sensual if I wear this in the right mood. Throw is good but not as strong as you might expect with an incensy scent. When it comes to spices, it isn't cinnamony. There is saffron and I am pretty sure there is clove in this. Clove has that special characteristic where it is spicy but also very clean smelling, which can sometimes even smell soapy or floral. On my shirt I can definitely smell the clean smell of the clove and on my skin I can smell the spicyness combined with the clean edge. There might also be pepper and perhaps some cardamom and spices I can't identify. The spices aren't spicy/hot though, and it doesn't make my skin red or give a burning sensation. The spices are not like a curry either. I applied this before bed and about 10 hours later there is only a light scent left on my skin but the scent on my shirt has actually become stronger and much more noticeable. The scent on my shirt now smells like gorgeous incense. So in short: incensy, musky, spicy/spiced (but not hot, cinnamon or curry) and just a little bit of sweetness. Decent throw but perhaps not the best for use in a scent locket, though it gets stronger on fabric later in the wear.

At the time of this review, my imp of Bon Vivant is about 10 years old so it is very aged. I do not know if that makes a difference for this particular scent, but it is possible my review might differ from reviews made by others of the new fresh scent because my imp is aged. Bon Vivant is a scent that is very similar in the imp to the way all is on the skin. It is fresh, bright, bubbly, strong and very sweet but in a fresh way, if that makes sense. It is not candy sweet but fruity sweet. Right off the bat you smell champagne and fresh strawberries, fizzy and carbonated, and it stays pretty much true to that all through wearing, though after several hours the champagne note gets less strong and eventually you are left with a sweet strawberry + something else scent on your skin, but that is usually only after 8+ hours of wearing this scent. I think there might als be a very light musk in there, like some other reviewers have said. This scent has such a vibrant and happy mood and I love wearing this in the spring, and also in the summer. I also like to wear this on New Years Eve (because of the champagne note), but since I am using the last little bit from my imp today, I will be wearing something else this year. It is a great party scent, birthdays, weddings, New Years Eve, etc. Even though this scent has alcoholic notes in it, I still think this scent is suitable even for the youngest of BPAL wearers (kids) because it feels so sweet and innocent. It has the smell and feel of the champagne but somehow that does not smell and feel alcoholic and too grown-up. So basically, wether you are 7 or 70, if you like sweet, fresh, fruity, happy scents, Bon Vivant might be the one for you. I think this is probably the most bubbly and happy scent of BPAL that I have ever tried.

Before I review this gorgeous scent, I have to mention that my decant is now around 10 years old at the time that I am reviewing this. So my review might be different from reviews by others made when the scent was still new and fresh. My decant has aged very well and is still wonderful after all this time and perhaps even better now aged than when it was still new. When I first put this on it immediately made me think of caramel and even caramel apples even though there is neither caramel nor apple in this. It doesn't smell exactly like caramel apples but scent-adjacent to caramel something with some fruityness that I can't make out. When I sniff some more I can detect that the caramel scent is actually very complex and is a mixture of a lot of different notes. The two frostings, the cake and tea from Dorian, the incense and vanilla from Snake Oil and the champaca incense all work together to create this beautiful, sweet caramel-like scent, and I am sure the three full bars are also a part of this. The fruity part is probably due to the red wine, though I do not smell red wine, grapes or alcohol on my skin. I just smell something sweet and fruity. On my shirt I do smell a bit of red wine however. I guess my skin doesn't amp red wine. My skin likes to amp notes like vanilla, honey, musk, incense and spices more than others, so Snake Oil trumps the red wine here with my skin chemistry. I can't specifically make out the dry leaves and desert flowers, but I am sure they are there rounding out the scent. The tobacco smoke I can't make out initially but about 5 hours in I notice that if I inhale deeply , close to my wist, there is a light afterscent of the tobacco smoke I can detect, though I would not know it to be tobacco smoke if I didn't know the scent description. On me, Halloween Las Vegas is a very complex, sweet caramel-like scent with some fruityness and incensyness. On clothing it is a little more fruity and I definitely smell some red wine there as well. Depending on your skin chemistry you might smell loads of red wine or a caramel or bakery scent or something in between. I definitely think this scent is worth trying and if Halloween Las Vegas is made again in the future I would definitely like to score a bottle of this because it is gorgeous and makes me feel all happy and content while I am wearing this. I also got a compliment on this today by a woman that loves caramel-like scents and was amazed by how fantastic I smelled. I made her really curious about BPAL. As long as a person does not amp red wine, alcohol or tobacco smoke,I think this is suitable for all ages.

This is one of my absolute favourite BPAL scents, and I am sadly out of O at the moment. The imp I used for this review was aged for about 10 years so my review might differ from reviews made by others of the new and fresh scent. I smell vanilla, amber, musk, honey and perhaps some almond and/or a very light cinnamon. Maybe a tad hint of something lightly floral. The scent is warm, comfortable and cozy. Innocent but also strong, confident and sensual. It is also a positive/happy scent. Sweet but not overly foody. In another review someone said that the honey in this scent smells like clover honey and I totally agree with that. It is not a liquid kind of honey but a creamy one. Scent throw is strong (The strongest out of all the BPAL oils I tried so far) and I can smell the scent wafting around me. After dry-down the scent deepens even more. This scent makes me feel so comfortable, both in my own skin and in my own person (if that makes sense). It makes me feel grounded, strong and confident, comfortable and relaxed. Like I am balanced in every possible way (physically, emotionally, spiritually). It is a great scent to wear when you are already feeling wonderful but it also a great scent to wear when you are not feeling so great because wearing this will make you feel better and more balanced. O is at the top of my wishlist because it is simply that amazing! Even though this scent can be very sensual if you are in the mood, how others perceive it will depend on how you are feeling, so it can safely be worn anywhere and anytime without it being inappropriate. So you can wear this on your wedding night or a first date, but also on a job interview, while taking care of little kids, while visiting your 90-year-old grandma, etc. I have worn this on lots of everyday errands and even to physical therapy appointments without problems or weirdness. If wearing O makes you feel like rolling on the floor naked every time you are wearing it, then perhaps this is more a special occasion scent rather than an everyday scent for you, but unless you have such a strong response to the scent every time, you can wear it whenever and wherever.

The imp I used for this review was aged for about 10 years so my review might differ from reviews by others of the freshly bought scent. I smell something lemony but not strong lemon like in some perfume oils. I smelled something sweet and floral that reminds me a lot of elder flower. There is sweet muskyness and vanilla and it is a beautiful blend of all of that. I can't pick out the tea note individually but it does round out the scent very nicely. It is sweet, fresh, floral and musky and a little mysterious. Fairly strong throw and weartime. Definitely a favourite, and now my imp is all used up there is a bottle of Dorian on my wishlist. Like all BPAL scents I feel this is great for all genders, nothing is masculine or feminine, it is whatever and however it makes you feel. In the same way all BPAL scents are also innocent and sensual at the same time because it depends on the wearers personality, mood and vibe. I am not sure what year my bottle is from, since it is brown and not cobalt. But I have had the bottle for 10 tot 12 years myself and bought it second- hand. So it has been aged for at least 10 to 12 years and up to 16 years. Because it has aged for so long my review will probably differ from the reviews made by others when the scent was new and fresh. In the bottle I smell something sweet and fruity with something yucky (must be the jasmine). Wet I smell the peony first and something peppery that is a little tingly almost to my nose, which must be the pink pepper. I also smell some of the jasmine, some fruityness, some muskyness and some spicyness, which must be the white ginger. On dry-down the jasmine starts to get stronger. Dry the scent seems to be a morpher. The jasmine has gotten a lot stronger to where it is as strong and present as the peony. The jasmine and peony are fighting about who is the strongest. Who is the strongest keeps changing, sometimes it is the peony, sometimes the jasmine, sometimes equal. The pink pepper is also strong still. The fruit is still there but more on the background compared to the florals and the pink pepper. It is hard to pick out the individual fruits. And how the fruits smell also keeps morphing. Some moments I can sortof pick out the pineapple and/or the mango, but perhaps I am only able to recognise that they are there because I know they are there. The spicyness of the white ginger is still present and a little musk as well, though the musk is harder te pick out. The serene white tea I can't make out but it must be rounding the scent and making it a better whole. Later on, the jasmine backs down somewhat and the fruits are more present. During wear this scent does really morph and has different stages, and not just in the beginning but though the whole wear. The scent throw is fairly strong and it will stay strong enough for at least 8 to 12 hours, possibly longer. For me as a woman, while wearing it I felt feminine, confident, strong and positive.

This is one of my favourite BPAL scents because I adore carnation, I love plum and musks and this combination is truly exceptional. My bottle was bought somewhere from 2009 to 2011 so it has aged about 10 years or more. Because of that my experience might be different from using a fresh bottle. I smell/experience: immediately on skin I smell the carnation which is floral, spicy and sweet, all at the same time. The plum is very sweet but it is a deep, juicy and fruity kind of sweet and not a sugary or foody sweet. The plum and carnation really go well together and compliment each other. The Arabian musks complete the scent perfectly. This scent is floral, spicy, sweet, fruity and musky. It is not a light scent. Scent throw is good and lasts long. When I put this on I instantly love the scent and it makes me feel like myself. I feel strong, positive, capable, grounded and sexy. But it is also sweet and innocent. Suitable for all kinds of situations. It is suitable for work, dates, family functions and being around children. Of course it all depends how you personally feel while wearing a scent. I don't necessarily feel like this scent smells like it is a naughty one, or like it could be seen as inappropriate in any way. And it probably also depends on how you carry yourself and how you behave yourself. I often think there are (at least) two sides to every scent. A scent can be both sensual and naughty and pure sex, but also innocent, comfortable and just confident or strong at the same time. I love that duality.

This smells like chocolate but probably not in the way you might expect reading the scent discription. Right now my imp is 10 to 12 years old (bought it in 2009 at the earliest or 2011 at the latest) so it is very aged and my experience of this scent may be very different from a fresh bottle or imp. I first re-tested Bliss a few months back and I was disappointed because I could barely detect any chocolate in it back then and I just figured it hadn't aged well, since milk chocolate and dark chocolate are supposedly notes that don't age as well. But I tried it again last night before bed and my experience this time is completely different. It is possible that I didn't mix the contents of my imp enough last time causing the cocoa to stay on the bottom of the imp more and resulting in very little chocolate in the scent. Last time I could mostly smell a light vanilla and a light musk and a barely detectable hint of chocolate. A bit of a sweet skin scent. The chocolate in Bliss reminds me of several chocolately goodies. It reminds me of how Alpine milk chocolate smells. The kind my grandmother bought at Aldi in Germany when I was a child. It also smells like brownie batter or the batter for the French chocolate cake I sometimes make. It can smell the dry ingredients before the wet ingredients are added, but I can also smell the wet batter and the finished baked chocolate cake (because it smells more like brownies than like cake, there is no butter scent). I can smell cocoa, but I do not smell any milkness. I also smell a bit of vanilla and I think a slight musk. It basically smells like chocolate/cocoa/brownie goodness with a bit of vanilla and a bit of a perfumey something to it, making it not something you want to eat because the muskyness makes the scent not entirely edible. The throw of this scent is fairly strong on me and it is also very long lasting. I applied it before bed last night and now, over 13 hours later, I can still smell it quite well. I can still smell it on my skin up close and also further away, it is still wafting from my clothes and I can smell it on the bedding and when I go into the bedroom. It isn't overwhelmingly strong and in your face. It is more consistent in it's throw through a long wear time. This would be a good scent for a long day because you will able to smell it all through the day and still at the end of the day without needing a touch-up. Like all BPAL scents I feel this is great for all genders, nothing is masculine or feminine, it is whatever and however it makes you feel. In the same way all BPAL scents are also innocent and sensual at the same time because it depends on the wearers personality, mood and vibe. And it is suitable for all ages (most BPAL scents are in my opinion, perhaps only the ones with alcoholic notes and tobacco/smoke notes are not).)

Aquatic, fruity, floral sweetness. I smell a sweet but light fruit like plum, pear or apricot, that is also faintly reminiscent of watermelon (though it doesn't actually smell like watermelon to me). It could also be multiple fruits. In hindsight, I know it is the plum and the apricot I am smelling. I smell a floral and a sweetness but neither are heavy or overpowering and it isn't strong on the candy or sugar for me. The sugar and candy are light, which makes this scent not very foody in my opinion. The vanilla and the amber musk round out the scent very nicely. After wearing it for a while the cocoa peaks out here and there. It is soft and it blends effortlessly with the other notes. Instead of being a heavy foody or candy scent, this scent is more easily wearable for me on more occasions. It feels innocent to me but at the same time also mature and wise. This would be a great scent all year round. Great as a hopeful fruity scent in spring, a lovely aquatic in the summer that helps you cool down, a calming floral in the autumn and a comforting sweetness in the winter. This scent is lighter than a lot of other BPAL scents. My decant is from 2010 so it has aged for almost 11 years and it might therefore be very different from when it was freshly made. It seems to have aged very well though and I like it a lot. I wish I had more of this. Like all BPAL scents I feel this is great for all genders, nothing is masculine or feminine, it is whatever and however it makes you feel. In the same way all BPAL scents are also innocent and sensual at the same time because it depends on the wearers personality, mood and vibe. The imp that I tried this from is about 10 years old (bought somewhere between 2009 and 2011). So keep in mind that I am reviewing the aged version of this scent and not the fresh version. I smell a lot of almondyness. It is similar to Lush's Snowcake but like a more natural version of it if that makes sense? Scent throw is not as strong as other scents and it doesn't last as long either, but it is still a beautiful scent. Sweet and a little foody but not too much. Comforting, cozy, grounding, strong, sensual and also innocent. The almond in this did not irritate my skin. My imp of this is almost empty and a bottle of this is definitely on my wishlist. Like all BPAL scents I feel this is great for all genders, nothing is masculine or feminine, it is whatever and however it makes you feel. In the same way all BPAL scents are also innocent and sensual at the same time because it depends on the wearers personality, mood and vibe. This scent is about 10 years old now and it has aged very well. Keep in mind that my review of this scent is for the aged version and not the fresh version, just in case bpal makes some more bottles of this in the future. This started out really spicy, the sweet kind of spicy. Like strong cinnamon. Not the cheap generic kind but the more expensive kind that is both stronger and spicyer but also sweeter. It is like a good cinnamon combined with a good cardamom. Cinnamon might not be listed as a note but it is still possible that it is in there. Like the spice I also smelled something sweet, right of the bat. Like maybe some vanilla and musk. The sweetness feels fresh somehow. After dry-down I start to smell the leather a bit and after reading the scent discription I realise the sweetness comes from the bourbon and the muskyness from the patchouli. It takes a good 30 minutes or perhaps even a little longer, before the spice backs down a bit and shares the limelight with the rest of the notes. It becomes a nicely balanced scent. I can smell the sweet spicyness, a light leather and a sweet bourbon (it reminds me of a bourbon called Four Roses). Those notes I can actually pick out in the scent. The patchouli I can't pick out but it is definitely there rounding out the scent. This scent has a strong throw and a long wear and is suitable for all genders. This is my first leather scent and it is very unique. It makes me feel strong, confident, sensual and sexy. Both because I like the way it smells and you will automatically feel better about yourself when you like how you smell and also because of the associations with the name and because of the leather note. It is a little like you have a saucy secret. Depending on how the scent makes you feel you could still wear this to work, family gatherings and around children. Just be prepared to answer when people ask you what scent you are wearing. This scent burnt and made my skin red for about 15 minutes but after that, both the burning and the redness went away and I had no lasting skin issues.) Like all BPAL scents I feel this is great for all genders, nothing is masculine or feminine, it is whatever and however it makes you feel. In the same way all BPAL scents are also innocent and sensual at the same time because it depends on the wearers personality, mood and vibe. At the time of this review my bottle was about 3 years old, so not exactly fresh but not heavily aged either. When I first put this on again, I couldn't remember what it was supposed to smell like and what I was smelling reminded me of the toffees I used to eat on holiday as a child. I smelled a strange caramel like scent and a sharper note that reminded me of mint. Those toffees used to be ones with just caramel and ones with caramel and mint and they were lovely. After a few minutes I checked this site to see what I was actually smelling because I was really curious. I read that it should smell like strawberry and peach cheesecake with glaze, but at that time it didn't smell like that to me. During the next 15 minutes the scent morphed into the scent it would be. I could smell a strange fruity like smell that would be a little peach with a lot of strawberry. Not fresh strawberry but canned strawberry in syrop or something like that. I didn't smell any cheesecake or glaze, just a weird smell with strawberry and a bit of peach with other stuff that made a weird but nice smelling scent that I would not be able to identify if I hadn't know the scent description of this one. Maybe there is a little creamy note in there as well that made me think of caramel in the fist place. So if you are looking for a cheesecake scent you will be disappointed. But if you are looking for a weird and interesting scent which is hard to pin down exactly, then this is the scent for you. It's not one of my favorites, but I do like it. Like all BPAL scents I feel this is great for all genders, nothing is masculine or feminine, it is whatever and however it makes you feel. In the same way all BPAL scents are also innocent and sensual at the same time because it depends on the wearers personality, mood and vibe. At the time of this review my bottle was about 3 years old, so not exactly fresh anymore but not that heavily aged either. In the bottle it smelled boozy with marzipan as well. To me the boozy note smelled like honey mead. On the skin while it was wet, it still smelled like honey mead, with marzipan and also something spicy like cinnamon. Within a few minutes the boozy scent went away leaving a sweet, fruity, almondy/marizpan and a little spicy scent. It doesn't smell like mulled wine or wine at all to me, because wine like most alcoholic beverages smell a little bitter. If wine was sweet, without any alcohol and bitterness, and you would add almonds/marzipan and spices, then you would get this scent. I love this scent since I love almond/marzipan, spices and fruit and I am glad I managed to get a partial bottle after falling in love with the decant I tried. This scent doesn't stay on my skin for as long as other scents do. A few hours after applying it I could still smell it on my skin but only lightly. Some other scents I can smell at this strength or stronger even the next day. Like all BPAL scents I feel this is great for all genders, nothing is masculine or feminine, it is whatever and however it makes you feel. In the same way all BPAL scents are also innocent and sensual at the same time because it depends on the wearers personality, mood and vibe. At the time of this review my bottle was about years old, so not exactly fresh but not heavily aged either. This is a very sweet and also edible scent, when I wear this I need something to snack on or I'll have cravings all day or night (depending on when I wear it). I don't know what a glazed pastry smells like so I can't say if Golletes smells like it. I don't smell sugar specifically and I can't pick out any fruit, but I can say the fruit is somewhere in the berry family. It smells like it is someting fruity and sweety with dairy though without smelling the actual dairy. To me it smells like the Sultana cookies we have in the Netherlands in forest fruit flavour with a layer of forest fruit flavoured yoghurt on it. It also reminds me of the scent of yoghurt covered raisins. This scent is sweet and not tart at all, no tartness from fruit and you can't actually smell yoghurt either. My boyfriend thinks it smells like strawberry cheesecake ice cream. This scent is one of my very favourite BPAL perfume oils. It makes me cheerful (and a bit hungry). Like all BPAL scents I feel this is great for all genders, nothing is masculine or feminine, it is whatever and however it makes you feel. In the same way all BPAL scents are also innocent and sensual at the same time because it depends on the wearers personality, mood and vibe.
