Looking for a BPAL that Resembles a Favorite Perfume

The Red Queen, maybe? "Deep mahogany and rich, velvety woods lacquered with sweet, black-red cherries and currant." It's one of my favorites, but you have to give it time to dry. While wet it has a sharp cherry cough syrup smell.
  2. For white/honey wine, Delphi is my favorite. Fairy Wine would be, but the honey in it makes it smell like baby powder after about 15 minutes on my skin. But wet, wow is it great. For red wine, I have to turn to LEs from last year's Lupercalia. Zadok Allen Vinyard is my absolute fave: very strong, heavy read wine, oak, and incense. I feel like I'm at a very naughty occult orgy. Saint Foutin de Varailles is like Zadok's more demure little sister. I wasn't crazy about it when it was new last year; I thought is was too light and a bit like a berry scented candle. But after a year of aging the wine has really come out nicely.

Looking for a BPAL that Resembles a Favorite Perfume

Lilac instead of lavender, but Crowley might be good: Infernal musk, red patchouli, lilac cologne, mahogany, lemon rind, oakmoss, leather, and vanilla husk. Or maybe Nephilim? Holy frankincense and hyssop in union with earthy fig, defiled by black patchouli and vetiver, with a chaotic infusion of lavender, cardamom, tamarind, rosemary, oakmoss and cypress. Lavender, oakmoss and musk sounds very traditionally masculine. You may want to try things without the specific notes, but with words like chypre and fougere, as these usually denote traditional men's blends. According to http://www.perfume.com/dana/heaven-sent/women-perfume Heaven Scent was reformulated in 2001. It lists the notes as: Top Note: Neroli, Mandarin, Bergamot, Orange Oil, Lemon Oil, Spearmint Middle Note: Lily of the Valley, Carnation, Ylang-Ylang, Rose Base Note: Vetiver, Patchouli, Amyris Oil, Benzoin, Oak Moss, Sandalwood, Musk So, your looking for something with citrus fruits, sweet florals, and a bit of dryness. That's not really my thing, so I don't have specific recommendations. Hopefully the additional info will get you closer to what you are looking for.

    fizzy, sorta carbonated, sparkling blends?

Blue Fire is my favorite of the fizzies. Like carbonated fruit salad.

    Magus

Nice. Cedar is top note on me, with a sweetness I can't quite identify in the background

    Kill-Devil

Maybe too sweet, but right now I like this. The oak adds a deepness to all the sweetners. However, like many sugar and/or honey blends, this starts to go powdery on drydown.

    Lurid

This reminds me of fresh sap; the resin? I will have to test longer to get a better idea of this.

    #20 Love Oil

Strong herbs right out of the imp, most likely lemon verbena and thyme. There is some rose and something spicy - almost like nutmeg - and a bit of sweetness like vanilla. I like this more than I thought I would.

    Voodoo

Dry and dirty, I like this better than other vetiver blends I've tried. My husband was sitting across the room and asked, "What are you wearing? Smells like cookies." We both also remembered burning incense as teenagers that smelled exactly like this. Allergy reactions: I sneezed a bit after first putting it on and my wrist itched for about a half hour, but I didn't notice any long term issues.

    Aremata-Popoa

Mostly, I just get rum. I'll have to test again later when I can give it more time.

    Dance of Death

Just... dry. No real scent at all.

    The Reaper and the Flowers

Carnation is doing its thing and turning this into an old lady. The rose adds a sweetness, but not enough to redeem it.

    Dragon's Reverie

More feminine than straight Dragon's Blood. Interesting, but I think I feel a headache coming on, will test longer later.

    Dragon's Hide

Out of the imp this is surprisingly sweet. Maybe a bit more masculine than straight dragon's blood.

    Lorelei

Fresh and clean smelling. A bit too floral for my tastes.

    L'Ecole des Filles

A very bright somewhat masculine floral. Don't think I can do jonquil.

    Sed Non Satiata

This is very light on me. After a morning of testing scents, it's hard to pick out at all. I'm going to have to come back to this one.

    Harlot

Cinnamon comes to the top for me, with juicy fresh rose bobbing underneath. Although light and floral, there is something bright-eyed and aggressive waiting to leap out. Very interesting.

    Ravenous

Orange very prominent at first. The brightness of the citrus is deepened by the patchouli. It reminds me of an chocolate truffle filled with orange cream.

    Philologus

Sigh. I was really hoping this would work out. I really like the dusty book scent in Misk U and M&J Port Jelly; I was hoping for more of that note. I didn't find it here. I didn't find any of the listed notes. What I found was a faint, vaguely masculine cologne. If you removed all the Egyptian Musk from Mr. Ibis, you would get something similar to Philologus. But Mr. Ibis is my favorite because of the EM and not having it feels empty.

    Tombeur

This is kinda cloyingly sweet and... scratchy? A feeling at the back of my throat like licking frozen snow. It's an unpleasant sensation. There is a high note that I can't quite identify (lavender?) that is starting to give me a headache. Overall it is just too strong on me. I think I would like it if it wasn't so aggressive.

    The Midnight Carnival

The Midnight Carnival does smell dark and a bit sinister. There is something mechanical and not quite right behind the flowers. And this is VERY floral. The kind of floral I just can't deal with.

    The Last Unicorn

Mostly, I get coconut out of this with a bit of the white chocolate adding a smooth sweetness. However, it isn't very foody or over-sweet (gourmands tend to go cloying on me and this doesn't). I luckily don't get florals at all. This is a complex scent, underneath the coconut and I'm going to have to wear it a bit longer to see what happens on long wear.

    Mommy Fortuna

Honey and a bit of smoky gunpowder. Not sure what cheap magic smells like, so it's hard to distinguish from the gunpowder. I like this, but I'm going to have to wear it a bit longer in order to really make up my mind about it.

    The Ninth Cage

This is... odd. I definitely get the dry oak. But iron? I think I just have to accept that my nose interprets all "metallic" or "stone" scents as "cologne." It's a bit floral, a bit vegetative (is that cucumber?). I can feel my head tightening in preparation for a headache.
