straight sniff from imp is pure pine/hemlock with sweet almond... once applied this gets a hint of milkiness with the pine...pine/hemlock/pine and more pine...overpoweringly strong but this fades just as dramatically... within 30 minutes the scent is gone but i keep "scentzing" the tiniest notes of vetiver/myrrh...extremely faint.

straight sniff from imp is just loaded with vetiver once applied this gets rather soapy...a strong lathery floral; slight wafts of leather...very unique blend...the jasmine tends to come forefront a bit too much for my tastes but i am certainly thankful to have been able to try this imp

straight sniff from bottle sophia is very lavendery with a touch of jasmine... once applied this gets very spicy...with much more lavender than jasmine which is a wonderful thing...a sophisticated and womanly scent; this is very beautiful and i am very happy i took a chance on this lovely perfume; i can see myself wearing this for some fancy, schmancy tea and crumpet soiree

i had tried lick it last year and then swapped it away as the scent faded far too quickly... i am embracing this year's version!! straight sniff from bottle is truly sugary, sweet peppermint... once applied the peppermint comes through loud and clear... icy goodness!! it settles down within 15 minutes and the sugar is very apparent...this is delightful and oh so festive!! lasts a good long time on me too!!

straight sniff from imp is fruity vanilla and tonka i was fearful this would be overpoweringly floral for me! this is just so very pretty...hand blended to perfection the apricot, honey and ylang ylang work amazingly well together...this one puts a big smile on my face and i will cherish this imp

straight sniff from imp this smells like violets...once applied a lot of white florals intermingling with the violet note...this perfume is a strong one...and i think this would be just perfect for a warm spring day cruising about in my own new england town in my convertible... yes, that is how i will wear this one most certainly

straight sniff from imp is a very fruity sandalwood...oh...how lovely!!! once applied this stays pretty much the same....sandalwood and fruit... .... i do believe i need a big bottle of this one...gorgeous!!

straight sniff from imp is a dusty, dry floral...once applied this starts off immediately as a fresh picked dandelion...after a few minutes a touch of honeysuckle; the opium and vetivert dance far away in the background... a very interesting blend indeed

straight sniff from imp... sour flower... once applied....way too big, fat, floral bouquet for my tastes... dark...something...too bold...too in-your-face... not for me

straight sniff from bottle is sweet and delicate... an elegant mint, if you will... once applied the mint fades slightly and some bright white florals pop up here and there....another bold yuletide blend...this is superbly done... and how utterly perfect for the upcoming winter months...this is sure to bring a smile on your face...remember when you used to catch snowflakes on your tongue as a child? this is that memory...beautiful and memorable.

straight sniff from bottle is an icy cold floral...a touch of sweetness once applied there are some heavy, rich flowery notes and something aquatic...that's the iciness most certainly...while i cannot detect the vetiver in this there is something resinous & smoky...this is a bold blend and just a few dabs on your wrists and behind your ears will have you enveloped in a sensational yuletide olfactory frenzy for hours

straight sniff from imp is amber and dragon's blood... once applied amber and poppy swirl together and this gets very spicy and sweet...quite strong with good throw this is a nice blend...not something i would reach for often but i will cherish my imp and use it now and again...

straight sniff from imp is an outstanding floral once applied this is a dark and creamy almost vanilla scent with that ultra feminine flowery note...really incredible...so glad i took a chance to try this one... lovely

straight sniff from bottle is very much like eat me but more sour...or puckery...in the best way possible... after 15-20 minutes i get this beautiful booze kind of scent...very, very hard to describe but this scent is gourmand and oh so elegant...

straight sniff from imp is something soury...like aqua net hairspray from the 80's....almost like spit... once applied it is the honey/wine/champagne combo that gives that saliva scent... too soury for me to like ... or so i think after 30 minutes or so, this is almost like fresh flowers in a meadow...can u stand that?! .... i know i can't but right as rain...it is all about that... craziness ... love the morphing!!! the very end is all about honey & florals... what a great blend....and who woulda thunk?...

straight sniff from imp is pure chocolate and rose!!! gah!! who would have thunk?!?!? it stays true to cocoa rose on me but more florals come through after say, 20 minutes; some myrrh perhaps....omG...another winner...i sooooooo wish the lab still had 10 mls...guess i will just have to purchase 2 5 mls of this beauty...yes, this is that spectacular

straight sniff from bottle this *is* chocolate/orange/vanilla goodiness!! nothing at all like past 13's...amen!! as none of them worked and i never got any of the lovely foodie/gourmandiness ... this warms up and reminds me a great deal of the candy butcher but more orange...this is also sophisticated...and morphs to no end...i have had it on for about 30 minutes now and it has just changed again to the warmest most wonderful cocoa cashmere sweater...it is so like that...and it is "perfumey" .... which astonishes me because it is achingly gorgeous...normally "perfumey" means "end all" for me...not this one...i love it to pieces

ya know ms. valentina the scents you just described in the first part of your post are the darker, evil gem twin that lurks inside me... but i do adore "hot'n'spicy" scents as well...and certain deep, dark aquatics are my friend too...that is my "other side"...cuz we are all about the duality baby... duality

straight sniff from imp is a dark floral incense... once applied it gets super f-l-o-r-a-l...like that insane jasmine that does not play well.....gotta be the orchid... this reminds me of lauren (by ralph lauren)...off to my mommy it goes....

2006 version is a much less potent version than 2005... straight sniff from imp this is a lot lighter...and airier..... i like the 2005 samhain much better but will age this imp to see if it can come close .... i like it but it just does not have the depth i adore

2006 version.... straight sniff from imp....yesss!!! this is my beloved SS04...perfectly thick, ultra seductive and boozy.... yum.....tons of sugar....indeed, SS04 all over again i love this...thankfully, this is still around so i can snag at least 2 bottles.....

2006 version.... straight sniff from imp is utterly and completely different from 2005 carmelized sugar...no depth whatsoever.... once applied this actually turns my stomache...all too sweet and sugary and ...plastic....ugh.... not nearly as wonderful as 2005 which i just adore...ah well.... luckily enuff i was part of a decant circle for this one
