straight sniff from bottle this is leather, leather and more leather golly!! once applied this gets super sweet....a strong pear note melds with the leather...this is s-t-r-o-n-g folks and not for the faint-of-heart after awhile this mellows...i get a bit of musk and perhaps the tiniest bit of vanilla....no tobacco and no cedar can be detected on my skin....hmmm.... if you are a leather lover this blend was made for you .... quite manly

straight sniff from the bottle i smell hot ginger & a drop of musk... once applied, the musk amps up bigtime...gets superstrong with my chemistry... this is very masculine indeed... after 20-30 minutes this calms down slightly...i get a note of wood...but this remains mostly ginger/clove/musk on my skin...another bottle that should do quite well once it has aged properly

straight sniff from bottle is dastardly and despairing; dried dead leaves... thick with doom... once applied there is a definite sense of dragon's blood...but aged .... some very dry and almost bitter note...i think there might be some dry, white sandalwood ...after 30 minutes or so this gets more and more metallic and the dried leaf smell comes through loud and clear...such an interesting blend ...i am sure this bottle will get better with 6 to 12 months in my depths of my dark, wooden bpal aging box most certainly

straight sniff from bottle the 2006 version is nearly identical as 2005... i love it very much...resinous and myrrh with some sweetness... i did a side by side comparison...the only difference is that my 2005 bottles have aged slightly making them stronger and more incensey...i love them all but i was hoping 2006 would be just a "bit" more different

straight sniff from imp this is sugary and i can sense a touch of vanilla and amber...delightful!! once applied the sweet pea and sandalwood come through...wow... this is an amazing blend for my chemistry...absolutely perfect balance of all the notes...while i normally like "darker" scents this is something for when i am having one of my girligirl days ...elegant and so pretty

this was a gift frimpage and let me tell you when i opened up the package all i could smell was banana!! through the bubble wrap and tape it was all sealed up in... i was beside myself as to what that gorgeous banana was.....i have been dying to try shango for like ever sooooooo, straight sniff from the imp is a booze laden banana...the color is extreme....deep, dark brown...the scent is absolutely intoxicating!!!! once applied i get apples, pineapple, sugar and i do believe some civet...but in the most phenomenal way possible; something resinous as well......omG...if the lab still had 10 mls available i woulda been all over this.... my own fault for not buying an imp way back when to try it.... in any case, my next lab order will most definitely include a bottle of this .... incredible

straight sniff from imp is very, very masculine once applied i can smell the sandalwood and ambergris...this is a very delicate and light blend...aquatic...a touch of sweet vanilla... while this is really lovely it fades far too quickly...i think this might be a perfect scent for a really super, steamy, hot, sultry day...i shall revisit it then

straight sniff from imp is sweet and resinous...lovely! once applied i get a lot of musk and lilac with a pinch of bergamot...unique and pretty after 15-30 minutes i detect a hint of sandalwood...i will hang onto this imp and wear it from time to time...it's quite nice, indeed

straight sniff from bottle is cranberry, macintosh apple w/a hint of spice once applied this is a warm apple cider beverage with a cinnamon stick....i like this very much...this is fairly strong and just an absolute perfect blend for a day like today in new england...low 50's, wind blowing, colorful leaves flying through the air...superbly done

yup....what sarada sez... i had a few orders when the lab used the blue bottles...a few of them cracked/broke so that is why they are using the amber

straight sniff from imp this is pure heaven!! thick and sweet...gorgeous antique patchouli and amber... once applied the combination of all the notes is absolutely spectactular...blended to perfection in every way possible... this is very, very strong so i only need the smallest amount behind my ears and on my wrists to smell wonderful for hours on end...yay!!

straight sniff from imp is a very heady floral upon application this softens up a wee bit...but remains all floral... i get no pear, cucumber or musk and that is sad after 30 minutes the florals are still going strong...i think the lotus and orchid are the most predominant notes that my chemistry amps to the max... will let this little imp age and see if that will make it better for me *sigh*

straight sniff from bottle is sweet tea and some floral... once applied this remains sweet earl grey tea with fantastic musk and creamy vanilla i was very leery (no, make that terrified!) of this blend cuz of the jasmine leaf but this only enhances it making it beautiful ...even for a chick!!! to me, this is a perfect womanly fragrance...i guess i'll try it on the boy to see how different it is with his chemistry this is strong and lasts forever....i doused myself at 4 a.m. and the scent itself just melds with my chemistry...this is a "classic" bpal perfume ...positively gorgeous and i will be buying a few more bottles before they go away most certainly

Carnaval Diabolique straight sniff from the bottle is very sweet and incensey fruit once applied the sweetness darkens beautifully with the perfect amount of smoke mingling in the background...this turns very floral but in the most fantastic way possible a modern woman's perfume, if you will... i get wafts of the vanilla combining with the heliotrope and musk...very faint fruit...gorgeous!! this is incredible and i am pleased as punch that i took the plunge on this blend!!

straight sniff from imp this smells like a sugar cookie dough once applied it is still foody...and something like earthy musk....turns sourdough after a minute after 15-20 minutes...resinous, a bit of spiciness and that cookie note... as others have said time and again, this has a snake oil/smut/snake charmer/ eat me sort of feel very lovely and i am soooo grateful that i was able to sample a drop of this much coveted convergence blend

first and foremost this is the most gorgeous shade of brown!!! straight sniff from imp is lemon, vetiver and leather once applied...smoky lime...mmm...some underlying floral in here as well...but a manly floral... this is long lasting and amazing and i love it and will cherish this imp for days to come!!!

straight sniff from bottle is dark and creamy chocolate...not overly sweet... once applied this starts to transform into something very, very familiar ... it is more like a cup of hot cocoa now...more creaminess coming forefront... thankfully this never, ever turns that fake plastic or playdough as sometimes chocolate blends will...this turns into prada on me...yes, prada...whoda thunk? i will be enjoying this bottle quite a bit

straight sniff from the bottle is thick, dark cherry swirled with cassis... once applied this amps up into hayooooooooooogely fruity goodness that's the verbena intermingling...after 10 to 15 minutes i get more of the cassis and some wafts of the patchouli but not overly abundant... this is my kind of scent and i will be sure to enjoy it each and every time i wear it

straight sniff from imp is a strong cup of tea with lemon in a big luxurious leather chair once applied this gets stronger and the grapefruit and orchid intermingle making this just fabulous!!! this is the big apple! sensational!! after 30 minutes or so this has faded dramatically still gorgeous i think i will savor this little imp for dreary winter months, curled up in front of the tube while watching studio 54 or saturday night fever!! this is clever and fun

straight sniff from imp this is quite green and aquatic...just like the depths of the ocean...once applied some floral gets amped up...smells just like a gardenia i never do get any wine from this...it generally stays the same...a gardenia with a bit of greenery...such a shame it wouldn't be the same scent as i smelled from the imp so i do believe i will have to take a chance on this one in my scent locket before i come to a final conclusion.

straight sniff from imp is an apple martini ...so fresh and inviting! once applied the honey comes charging through along with the rose, myrrh and frankincense... omg, this is just so incredible...after 15-20 minutes this fades into such a lovely and creamy fruit scent...so pretty...i feel a big bottle purchase coming on

straight sniff from imp ....floral, smoky, dirty sex!!! in the best way possible!!! once applied this is all incense, rose and clove...and very floral...very strong... somewhat boozey....oh *swoooooooooon be my heart* extremely sexual scent and i will cherish this imp from one of the best forumites with the utmost of care

straight sniff from imp is a fruity, cinnamon concoction...slurrrrp once applied this turns into a deliciously, heady, ultra spicy cinnamon...omG.... i do need a big bottle!!!! after 10 minutes the dragon's blood comes shining through....cassia and some deep fruit which has got to be the pomegranate.... this is pure heaven with my chemistry...every bit as good as my beloved dragon's milk but entirely different~~ultra strong and one of the most delightful scents i have tried to date!! a touch foody...like a cinnamon roll...only a bittle lit.... patchouli?? i don't get a single dose but that is quite ok... kudos to you beth!!!! a winner!!!!
