straight sniff from imp is a bit resinous and spicy... once applied this is not as heavy as i had expected...still very resinous and a little bit of the florals come through... after 30 minutes i smell the copal strongly but shortly there after it fades completely...just as the description says, "The final burst of the soul’s light and joy before passing into the depths of the earth"

straight sniff from imp is bright, white mint with some wood once applied the florals amp un hugely with the mint...there is little to no detection of wood at this point then something reminds me of the home done "toni" perms i got as a kid then fades completely away

CTIII - XLVI (46) straight sniff from the bottle is hot, dry, dusty and peppery once applied it pretty much stays the same...although it seems to "mellow" slightly after 30 minutes or so this is cannibas all the way ultra cool how this one morphed and i am so glad the bottle "overfloweth" on this one Previously reviewed by dpoulsen21.

CTIII - DXXXV (535) straight sniff from the bottle is sharp!! a twinge of what is almost ammonia slightly pickle-like, buttery and fruity ??? i know you all must be thinking "ewwwwwww" by now but hold on!! once applied this is an entirely different animal it starts off like a buttery dandelion...bitter but within 20 minutes to 1/2 hour a complex fruity and delicate floral blend takes over and i think something salty.... and yet it changes even more...almost like a mango cobbler if that is possible very gourmand at this point...another 30-45 minutes and now it is a powdery floral but still with that "foodiness"...this is a masterpiece plain and simple; the most extravagant CTIII i have tried to date, undoubtedly!!! straight sniff from imp is very woodsy and smoky once applied the patchouli, sandalwood and myrrh get amped up and create a very fabu blend for me after about 1/2 hour... it faded....almost completely!! is it the heat and humidity or just my chemistry as auntie flo is visiting?? hmmmm...need to try this a few more times to see if it changes at all ... if not, this will most definitely go into my scent locket to last longer as i adore the scent!! ADDED Nov. 12: straight sniff from imp is a heavy duty wood blend...lots and lots of wood.... and bone dry...once applied a lot of cedar....there is some incense smoke and myrrh.... i never get any patchouli....darn....i am so thankful i was able to try this in imp form...i thought for sure this would be a scent to knock-me-over-with-a-feather...alas, this one is just far too woody for my liking....

CTIII - DLXXV (575) straight sniff from the bottle is sugary and minty and reminds me exactly of what stamps smell like when you lick them once applied a huge burst of sweet and spearminty gumdrops drying down the minty sugar turns much more floral....white and delicate... this is a superb blend for hot and sticky 90 plus degree weather for sure!!

CTIII - CCCXLVIII (348) straight sniff from the bottle is a very strong and soapy floral...with a touch of something smoky once applied this is seriously strong stuff here...i am not sure which florals.... violets, roses, magnolias perhaps?? quite lovely if you are a heavy duty flower kinda girl

CTIII - CIL (can't find a conversion for this) straight sniff from the bottle is a total cocconutty sensation once applied, the coconut is forefront...strong as the dickens... after 15-30 minutes this softens and i get a butter and rummy blend along with the coconut...really lovely but just not my cup o' tea Last reviewed by Aredhel.

i do believe it may be cassia... i have a bottle of CTIII that has a cinnamon note ... thankfully it does not bother my skin whatsoever

CTIII - DXLIII (543) straight sniff from the bottle is a thick, creamy, sweet and minty with a touch of cocoa kind of aroma once applied this completely does a 360 and turns into what seems to be a rich sassafras/root beer with a touch of vanilla but something very, very clean underneath...incredible morpher this one after 15 minutes or so the sassafras turns more woody yet stays very sweet a few hours later this is still going strong...while most of the sassafras has faded dramatically i am left with a "fresh from the clothes line" blend with little spurts of that sassafras and creamy vanilla coming through from time to time... it is gourmand yet fresh and clean...so interesting

CTIII - DXCVII (598) straight sniff from bottle .... hmmmmmmmm....so gosh darn familiar.... i puzzled and puzzed 'til my puzzler was solved...why that is harvest moon 2004... as sure as the day is long... once applied...yup...harvest moon 2004...an identical replica

CTIII - DXXXVIII (538) straight sniff from bottle is all about a clean aquatic; slightly floral and blue kool-aid pops once applied this changes absolutely DRAMATICALLY on my skin/with my chemistry.... it becomes a light floral....violets and perhaps some hyacinth...very pretty, very summery but most def not for me..... i know exactly who will love this and off it goes to her

straight sniff from bottle is a freshly brewed strawberry daiquiri!!! yup!! booooozy strawbs to be precise!! once applied the alchohol fades and turns into a tooth-ache inducing dessert of sugar encrusted strawberries smothered in cream...this is strong...too much of that sugary note in this and it does not play nicely with my chemistry; turns into something that gives me a terrible headache....almost a plastic/fake strawberry off to a better home she goes...

CTIII - DLIV (554) straight sniff from bottle this is sweetened cocoa swirled with cherry tobacco once applied the sweetness becomes rather subdued; i'm getting more of smoky, floral bouquet, crushed and dried... this one is extremely complex and has a distinct feel of halloween to it... not for the faint of heart and most definitely not a summer scent... i can only imagine after i age this a few months i will love it even more a total winner for me

CTIII - DCV (605) straight sniff from the bottle this is very aquatic with a hint of fruitiness once applied i get an amped up note of very clean fresh air...the fruitiness fades away and turns into a slightly delicate floral...apple blossom i think ... then the waves roll back in and there is the fresh, watery ocean... really a lovely scent esp for summer but just not something that i would reach for often enough so off to a better home she goes

straight sniff from bottle is orange tea... once applied i still get the orange tea but within 5 minutes something turns this into an almost soury blend; and something burning(??)...definitely not something i can wear and love so off to a better home this goes

CTIII-CCLIX-(259)-acquired in a swap from columbus jones straight sniff from bottle is patchouli...oMG!!! yes my beloved note... sweet and decadent...ultra rich and syrup-like....much different than any other patchouli note i have experienced... once applied the color is a deep and rich amber...the scent turns into a mishmash of cinnamon(??) and pine ... yup...you could knock me over with a feather with this one.....after 15 to 20 minutes i get a very smoky note...swirling through making this an olfactory delight.....and the patchouli peeking itz head throughout the journey gosh this is s-t-r-o-n-g and i am thrilled to own it...i will cherish this forever as one of my very fav bpal scents ... it is that good and obviously one that was meant for me to love!!! straight sniff from bottle is a pure, rich deep chocolate ... once applied the patchouli comes through loud and clear...i am positively in love with this scent...a bit of the leather note shows up and then what seems to be a small nosegay of dried florals...some incense too...i just adore wearing this as from time to time, i get the different notes separately and combined... lasts forever on as well... must get a big bottle before the disappearance of them

straight sniff from imp is a very earthy and pretty scent... once applied the florals amp up hugely followed by the spiciness of the juniper berries.... quite nice although i never do get that lovely patchouli note ...

straight sniff from imp is the most beautifully, delicate aquatic...has a wonderful sweetness to it once applied this has a somewhat fruity gardenia note...quite lovely....a teeny bit smoky unfortunately, i have to slather myself in this one...the scent all but disappears in 15 minutes...bummer...

straight sniff from imp is sharp rose once applied that stargazer lily takes forefront...mixed with the rose... this is a very floral blend...a bit too rosy for my liking.... i never get the lotus or ivy....too bad....gotta be a chemistry thang.....

straight sniff from imp is a gorgeous green meadow... once applied the green has a harshness that fades into a very delicate floral...a white floral...perhaps lily of the valley...a touch of dandelion as well... lovely

straight sniff from imp is amber, vetiver and violet~~~ once applied this gets very strong....the violet and sandalwood compliment each other in the most beautiful way... 30 minutes plus, this doesn't change too much ... although the violet is simply amazing .... this is just such a gorgeous, womanly perfume....

straight sniff from the bottle is an extremely sharp cassia/cognac note and slightly herbaceous... once applied this stays pretty sharp for about 10 to 15 minutes and then warms with my skin to become quite a unique perfume!! i actually get a moist borkum riff tobacco smell...must be the cognac...and the cassia (cinnamony goodness) ... i absolutely love the way this morphs...as i wave my wrists around i even get some of that honey note....this is truly gorgeous and i can only imagine that as this ages, it will become positively spectacular

straight sniff from bottle i get a huge whiff of labdanum and juniper...dark and foreboding once applied an almost piney aquatic blend comes forth...then the lovely benzoin... after 30 minutes or so i get a definite "green" note; perhaps the cypress...this combined with the aquatic notes in this perfume are a pure delight; i love the deeply mysterious feel i get when i wear this ...strong and long lasting as well~ this one is a truly beautiful creation and i am so pleased i own a bottle
