2008 version... straight sniff from imp is sweet pine and something almost citrusy.... once applied the citrus really amps up with the pine...this actually reminds me of the pomander balls i used to make as a kid with my family.... a teensy touch of clove or spice....girlie, indeed

2008 version... straight sniff from the imp is cedarwood incense... once applied the cedarwood is strong and i detect myrrh and frankincense... works oh so well with my chemistry a really great blend for the holiday season

straight sniff from imp is myrrh and grape.... once applied the grape gets boozy and i get a touch of vanilla and pickle (?)... yeah, myrrh tends to do that from time to time... after this settles i get lots of spiciness and wine...i think this is just too complex for my chemistry to handle...this scent goes all over the place and does not play well at all...nice try

straight sniff from imp is olive oil and a delicate orange note... once applied this has a wonderful waxy edge that is, indeed, like a blown out candle... amazing!! this is a very subtle perfume and stays close to the skin...really quite beautiful

2008 version... straight sniff from the imp is sweet golden amber...yummy!! once applied lots of creaminess going on ... i am guessing the tonka and benzoin... this is really, really pretty and i may need to get a big bottle of this beauty...

2008 version... straight sniff from imp is a minty christmas tree... once applied the notes swell...the mint is overwhelming but then settles and i am left with a freshly cut christmas tree overloaded with sugar...nice

straight sniff from imp is floral and ozone... once applied a hint of violet and sandalwood; turns slightly incensey... after awhile this turns back into an aquatic ozone... nice, but not my cup of tea...

2008 version... straight sniff from imp lots of nutmeg and smoke... once applied super spicy musk takes over; it fades slightly and i am left with myrrh and smokiness...very complex...just glorious

straight sniff from imp is just elegant...really green and cool then the coconut and vanilla with delicate florals... once applied this is the best ever!! years past of this blend have turned play-doh but this one remains gorgeous; the sillage is perfect as well... love it!!!

straight sniff from imp is buttery, black licorice...mmmm....divine once applied, dusty and leathery licorice....whoa...amazing!!! another big bottle purchase is required.....the lab's licorice scents never cease to amaze!!!

straight sniff from bottle is geranium incense...sooooooooooooo incredible once applied this amps up and i am in serious love!! the lavender melds with the incense and geranium and a hint of amber...works like a dream with me...i need a big bottle for sure!!

straight sniff from imp is the bestest ever cinnamon, rum, molasses cookie....positively drooooolworthy!! once applied this reminds me so much of arcana's sugar solstice that i cannot justify buying a big bottle...it is scrumptious beyond words and if you have not tried it, what on earth are you waiting for??

straight sniff from imp is a cold, musky flower topped with freshly fallen snowflakes... once applied the florals amp up and the snowflakes have completely melted into the earth... perfect for someone who would love a unique medley of florals...unfortunately, that just is not me....

straight sniff from imp is musky berries with sandalwood... once applied the balsam fir is elegant combined with the white amber... really sophisticated and perfect for a holiday happy hour

straight sniff from imp i have to agree with the other reviewer regarding smelling a similar to xmas rose... this is dusty incense....superbly dry...a touch of gin perhaps... once applied i smell big, fat, raindrops with loads of dust...that is what is making the incense...this is just too interesting....the throw is pretty good as well... -
straight sniff from imp is grapefruit, wisteria and violet leaf... once applied orangey musk with a hint of woodiness...a unique and interesting blend...

straight sniff from imp is very pepperminty and sweet!! once applied all sweet and frosty and reminds me of licking a candy cane while being enveloped in a blanket of freshly fallen snow under heaps of evergreens...totally, delightfully fun!!

straight sniff from imp is deep, dark super dry cocoa powder....mmm once applied this is super powdery cocoa...yes, amber amps up on me immediately and turns powdery but i love it with my chemistry...this has fair throw... the difference with this chocolate blend is it is not sweet at all...really lovely

straight sniff from imp reminds me of a subtler hex... once applied...yup...very similar to hex (which i adore) but not nearly enough throw/wearlength... this would be perfect for anyone wanting a softer/piney scent...

straight sniff from bottle is floral and watery.... once applied the florals amp up and this gets very aquatic with a smidge of lemon polished maple or oak... this has lots of throw as well... quite unique in it's own right

straight sniff from imp is amber and woody... once applied the amber amps up and i love that is suits my chemistry perfectly.... this has a powdery and comforting feel to it...some musky herbal after a few minutes.... the throw is fair to moderate...quite pretty

straight sniff from imp is, indeed, green and floral... once applied i swear there is something very jasmine-like...perhaps the morning glory....it mellows beautifully after a minute or two and this very simply remains herbaceous with a touch of flowers... i am very pleased this does not turn soapy whatsoever... quite nice
