On wet - tonic. Dry, crisp, citrus tonic. Over ice it might be a cocktail. Drying down - mint and lime are both evident. This is a fresh crisp citrus scent. The mint isn’t overpowering (as it often is on my skin), it's light and clean. Having reread the description, apple and vodka - definitely possible, but it's all well blended. It holds close to the skin, and the duration is about 3 hours.

On wet - just like it says, blackberry and buttercream! The bourbon isn’t prominent. This is a delicious dessert. I smell like cake. Drying down - it smooths out to a slightly less sweet scent. This is foody, but not as foody as you’d expect – it becomes a quite wearable sweet rich scent. It smells of berries without being too fruity, with some vanilla and sweet cream. Overall a quite amazing accomplishment. The duration is quite long, I put it on in the evening and could still detect traces of it in the morning.

She starts out very floral - kind of bright. Can it be - a patchouli blend I can WEAR? Turning musky, heavy - as it dries, it gets darker. Must be the patchouli, acting like patchouli without actually smelling like patchouli. Yay! It's still floral but with an earthy base. Good throw, good staying power. I think I like this. *eta: damn this is getting stronger by the hour! A little goes a loooong way.*

In the bottle – Lush fruit and…. Pipe tobacco. On wet – Lush fruit and vanilla!! Drydown – The vanilla and pipe tobacco bounce back and forth around the fruits. This is not too sweet – a rich, velvety, fruity winey vanilla. Throw/duration – Very odd. I think I now know what people mean when they say ‘skin scent’. The throw on this is almost nothing – within 15 minutes of applying, I can’t smell it wafting at all – have to put wrist to nose. But, putting wrist to nose, it’s still there 6, 8 hours later. As if my skin is reserving it’s lush goodness for only it’s most intimate acquaintances.

In the bottle – lemon. On wet – carnation and lemon! Sweet lemon curd, not tart. Drydown – the predominant notes on me are lemon and carnation. The musk and other notes soften it and keeps it from being sharp or tangy. Throw is not too long, and it has pretty good staying power, which isn’t usually the case with me and lemon. It’s a fresh spring citrus scent with a lovely creamy sweetness

First on - sour fruit. Green-apple Jolly Ranchers. As it dries, the myrrh and sandalwood coming through a bit. It holds on to the sour apple tang - it tickles my nose if I get too close to my wrist. Poisonous. Tangy. Seductive. Not an everyday sort of scent. It lasts longer than I expected - it doesn't waft too far, but it hovers for quite a while.

Lemon. It's a lovely sweet creamy lemon, not harsh or acidic. I can also detect some of the green/herbal qualities that others have mentioned. Sadly, my skin eats lemon and herbal scents for breakfast. After an hour there's not a trace of it left.

Vanilla, sweat and pheromones. No peanut butter for me, thankfully. I do understand the comparisons to Snake Oil and Snake Charmer, but it is still unique. Rich, decadent, sticky, husky, sex in a bottle. yum.

By far, our most popular scent! Magnetic, mysterious, and exceedingly sexual in nature. A blend of exotic Indonesian oils sugared with vanilla. I'm finally getting around to trying this because, well, my Snake Charmer stash is dwindling, and this seems to be the popular substitute. In the vial - very strong vanilla. Golden rich vanilla. On - yes, a little goes a long way. Very similar to Snake Charmer, but not quite. It's dusky, earthy vanilla with a sharp edge to it - incense? It wavers between a very rich, deep gooey feel and a sharp, dry spicy feel. It's not as sweet on me as some of the other posters have noticed. Not an everyday scent. It's very indulgent.

Clear, sweet, fresh, green. New-cut grass, dew-covered clover with a pale fruit tinge. Youth and springtime. Vibrant. It has quite a bit of strength – throw and duration both good. ADDED April 27: Budding Moon is absolutely not the type of thing I wear often, in fact I already sold off my bottle and just kept about 1.5mls worth in a travel bottle. But it's just perfect for this sunny day! I woke up craving something springy and floral, and this totally fit the bill. It's got a lovely soft clear sweetness to it, and is quite refreshing. Just makes me want to sing nonsense songs and make daisy chains in the grass. I can't pick out any notes - I'm not so good with identifying florals. It's got a nice throw, and has lasted quite a long time today. Very pretty for just the right type of day. I don't regret selling the bottle, though, because I won't be in the mood for it all that often!

Vanilla, musk, powder. I'm not sure what 'mineral' smells like, as so many others have mentioned, but I am smelling something I don't recognize, maybe that's it. This is very soft and comforting, yet oddly - professional. Most vanilla sweetstuffs I prefer to wear at home or to bed, cuddled under a blanket with hot tea or cocoa. But this one is definitely one I can wear to work. It's not too sweet, cool, but very vanilla. Long duration, not a long throw but the waft is wonderful - it's hovering around just under my nose all day.

Not a very strong scent. On wet it's a light, pale rose. As it dries, the rose is enveloped in a base of earth. The resins, whatever they are, are keeping the rose from dominating. Almost woodsy. It's very beautiful, subdued, understated, but alluring. Some roses tickle and turn sharp in my nose - this one doesn't. This is a quiet, romantic, classic scent. I hope it strengthens and lasts - I would love to try this alone (and not shortly after getting a noseful of red lantern!)

Forgive my brevity, but I'm trying to get these in in the hopes they might help someone buy more in the next hour or so! Bottle: fruity/flowers. On wet: Very light jasmine in there, but not overpowering WHAM jasmine like it usually does to me. It's very subdued for a jasmine. Still fruity and floral. Not getting any sexy dirty musk yet, but.... Drying down: getting more earthy and grounded. Still sweet and pretty, but something.... sharp and tangy creeping in. Oooh... there's the musk. This a pretty sophisticated, pretty, womanly scent.

Upon opening the bottle, aroma of caramel and butter. Sweet, decadent, dark butter - as opposed to the pumpkin patch butter, if that makes sense. As it dries, it's definitely still rich but not sweet. Smoky. Burnt caramel and smoke. No more butter. Still waiting for the coconut. Dry... I can hardly smell it 'cuz I've had my nose glued to my wrist. Breathe... stick my nose in a glass of scotch, and.... Dark, smokey, rich, decadent, illicit, shameful. Coffee and caramel and booze and dark wood stained with ages of smoke and grime. Oh lord this is good. edited to add: good? what the... this is sinful. it's just getting better and better by the minute. for the first time in history I'm contemplating a 3rd bottle.

Carnivale is a frantic swirl of sensory input. Spicy, fruity, tons of fun. Colorful. I think it's the carnation that I'm really taken with. As many others have noted, this doesn't stay constant but twirls and changes! My only disappointment with it is that it vanishes much too quickly - I find myself re-applying every couple of hours. Worth it, though.

I'm not sure how I've managed to not review this for so long. Beatrice is a scent I find myself craving often. Beatrice is sweet, soft, vanilla-floral. The flowers are indeed rare, or just so well-blended that I can't pick out any particular familiar one. She is innocence. Pure of heart, sweet and lovely. Beatrice has a good strong throw and lasts hours.

Very perfume-y, and definitely noir-ish. This is a nighttime scent only for me, if I try it in the day I feel like I’m wearing a theatrical costume. But at night, especially in a dark lounge, it’s perfect…. Murder is just a smoke swirl away! This last forever, too – very potent. Earthy, spicy and just perfume.

Works. Yep it does. I’ve tried it twice, and both times I’ve slept fairly solidly. It lasts quite a while, I took someone’s advice and put a couple of drops straight on my pillow. The couple of times I did wake up, I just rolled over and could smell it strongly again. I honestly don’t know what it smells like, when I use it I’m not thinking of notes, but of losing consciousness as quickly as possible.

Rose. This is deep. Not fresh, not green, but gorgeously black. It’s very deep, very three-dimensional for what is ostensible a single ‘note’. It’s not for the faint of heart – there’s no wearing just a little Peacock Queen. If it’s on, you’re making a bold statement, a statement which says ‘Hmph’ while looking down it’s nose at the little people.

In the bottle: What everyone else said. Jasmine. Wet on skin - Jasmine. (good thing I love jasmine!) Drying down - it's turning into a different kind of floral now. Still floral, but less jasmine-y. There's something like a grape undertone (someone else mentioned this too). I don't know what moonflower smells like, maybe that? After an hour, so far, no sandalwood or frankincense, as I was hoping for. I think my nose is sensitive to the florals and has a hard time finding the other notes. I'll let this one age a bit more on my skin and see if it morphs any more. This has turned rather nice though. I do like it.

Afraid I can't help yet, but I will say that caramel is the main reason I jumped right onto Red Lantern on the valentine's update!

Wet: The almond is strong first, although I think my nose is particularly susceptible to almond. As it dries, the other notes come forward and blend well. I adore cardamom and wish it were a bit more prominent, but it is there. This is a scent of strength. Very grounded, very confident. Good strong throw and lasts 6-8 hours.

First on: Something in this reminds me of Nosferatu. Like Nosferatu made with a bright, fruity wine instead of it’s dry, sanguineous wine. Maybe the herbal notes are doing this. As it dries, the fruit becomes more prominent. Grape perhaps, or cranberry. It’s still not too sweet though, which is nice. No sugar added! Throw is light to medium, and staying power about 3-4 hours. This is a very light, clear, dry berry scent. If berries normally go sugary on you, this is worth a try

After the reviews came in, and I saw a few bottles popping up on the sales/swaps, I got a bit nervous.. I was already skeptical on the evergreen notes, which hasn't done so well in the past on me. The florals in this definitely soften down the fir, though. This is an extremely well-blended scent of florals and evergreen tang, I can't pick out individual notes. It is wintry, exhilarating, invigorating. It has a long throw and lasts a good 6-8 hours.

I’m usually nervous about trying really popular scents for the first time. It’s kind of like hearing too much about a really great movie before you see it – you often end up disappointed. So I was expecting to be somewhat disappointed in Snow White, especially since light and milky/creamy scents haven’t done so well by me yet. Wrong. This lives up to every fabulous review of it. It’s very coconut on me. Not cheap fake tanning-oil coconut, but a creamy, billowing coconut full of innocence, warmth and light. I can’t discern other specific notes, perhaps a bit of pineapple, except to know that there is something other than coconut in there that blends to create an incredibly unique scent. After a couple of hours I think I detect some light florals too. Snow White has some long strong arms! It’s got a long reach, and staying power. Three hours later it’s still wafting up to me, almost as strong as when I first applied it. Genius.
