    Velvet

Brief chocolate smell mingled with sandalwood and myrrh which creates a slight smokiness. Did not smell any vanilla. Then the sandalwood really took over heavily, and mixed with the chocolate, just smelled dirty to me. Pass.

    The Unicorn

This is a lovely crisp clean white floral. I really don't smell any herbs or greenery. I believe this is the first white floral that has not turned soapy on me, yay, so bonus points for that. At the end of a long day, if I apply this, it's a real pick-me-up. My favorite stage is after a few hours, when it really softens to a sweeter floral. I'll use up this frimp, but I'm not that big into clean scents, so will not be purchasing a bottle.

    Fae

I knew I was going to like Fae, it's a lovely summer juicy peach, balanced out by lovely musk some slight florals, but the moss keeps it nicely grounded. It is a bit odd upon application, as I definitely smell black licorice, but it fades in a minute. Kind of reminiscent of Katharina to me which is one my favorites, but not as strong, sexy or warm. The wear time is only a few hours, and it stays close to the skin. Will slather the imp. Possible bottle purchase in future.

    Dorian

I can't believe I didn't try out Dorian sooner, and boy was I missing out. There is the initial lemony muskiness, but once on, the sugary vanilla add a milk tea quality, which is divine with the musk, and just amps the sexiness of this. I just want to bathe in this, I can't get enough. I'm going to have to never be without a bottle. Ever. I've already gotten several compliments on it.

    Has No Hanna

A couple of strong florals, one of them being gardenia, as it turns a distinctive soapy on me. Not for me.

    Dragon's Hide

Very floral, smells just like lilacs, and very soapy. A slight tinge of smokiness underneath, but nothing like what I imagined it would smell. Where is the dark leather? Not for me.

    Xiuhtecuhtli

Definitely orange is the standout here, I'm guessing the resiny smell is the copal. Then it's whoa floral, but with a dirty underlying of smoke. Hmm, the mixture of these contrasting smells is not working, it's a very unique scent, but too much for me.

    Saturnalia

I don't smell violet in this at all, from wet to dry. Just a smoky, dirt and fungus smell, which I actually kind of like. I'm also smelling leather, don't know where that's coming from, but I think I'll keep this imp. Not a big bottle purchase, but interesting...

    The Season of Ghosts

Herby citrusy, uplifting, with the lemongrass and bergamot standing out. I did not get a whiff of any orange. Then this gets very soapy and stays that way. Not a fan of this wet or dry.

    Now Winter Nights Enlarge

This is all around sexy, sticky, and gorgeous. Initially on it is hello caramel, which takes on a burnt quality, very foody. Then I get a short whiff of floral, which I'm guessing to be the ylang ylang. After about 20 minutes the vanilla, musk and patchoulli come out to play along with the caramel. Love this, so glad I got to try it.

    Nes Gadol Haya Sham

With so many notes, I was expecting a complex compilation, and was hoping for the pomegranate and almond to stick out. However, in the vial and on wet, it is overwhelmingly all lemon verbena, with a warm base, ick. Upon drydown still lemon, with a touch of spiciness and frankincense. Not for me.

    Snowball Fracas

This means war. A scent tight with delirious adrenaline. Muddy dirt and frost-covered moss from the trenches rubbed into winter clothes and snow impact overspray. This scent hits like the sting from those dang icy hard snowballs... the ones that have been packed too hard by someone who is not playing nice... nailing you right in the face. The more snow scents I try, the more I'm coming to the realization that it is not for me, as it tends to cause me a headache. Minty ozone/aquatic feel when on wet, but the dirt never showed up. Just snow. Then once dry, it starts to become sweeter snow and I can make out some of the moss, with the mint making an exit, which is nicer. Perfumey clean scent that would be good for scenting bedsheets.

    Old Man Ackerman's Instructional Toys

Bright citrus with bright golden metal. In a few minutes it dries down a little, which does give a slight dusty feel, but not something I would enjoy wearing, as it reminds me of furniture polish.

    Faunalia

This is like standing on the outskirts of a snow covered forest. Not a coniferous forest, but a nice woodsy smell with this bright iciness to it, and then when the musk comes out to warm things up, this gets even more wonderful. Think this would smell great on a guy too, definitely perfect for cold days.

    Sol Invictus

In the bottle- spiced tangerine, very citrusy and warm On wet: Blood orange and tangerine mostly, with an astringent clear note, saffron?, making this quite sharp 10 minutes in: This goes incredibly soapy on me, not digging the orange soap Drydown: Very powdery, and warm I'm not big into citrus scents to begin with, and that fact that this has both a soapy and a powdery stage on me, makes this a no-no.
