My new job is at a consignment store where we have all kinds of designer brands for very reasonable prices. Are there designer clothes/purses/sunglasses that you desire/love? (Give some indication as to your "style" as well. For example, do you like bohemian-style frocks in lavender? Crossbody purses in black? Sunglasses that are round and bug-like?) I like knee high boots in an 8/8.5 (preferably flat) but with a circumfirence of at least 16 inches. Or slouchy open motorcycle boots (like the faux leather ones I showed from american eagle in an earlier question). Also big sweaters/sweater dresses and cardigans usually in darker colours (like jewel tones). What are your daily websites/blog visits, or favorite YouTube videos? Well obviously I spend too much time here on bpal.org. I also spend a fair bit of time on Facebook, but I'm not into games on Facebook. I love Jenna Marbles on youtube - she is quite hysterical. Twitter and etsy now seem to take up a lot of time, in that I like to look/read things but don't post or purchase that often. And what are your favourite characters from your fandoms? Firefly - I love Mal (but probably because I have the biggest celebrity crush on Nathan Fillion), but Inara is probably my real favourite character, she's smart, regal, and mysterious. I can't wait for new books to tell me her history. But really all the characters are endearing in different ways from this show so I love them all. Game of Thrones/SoIaF - I actually really like Tyrion. For the most part I hate the Lannisters (although I'm near the end of the 3rd book and Jamie is definitely growing on me) but the fact that the intelligence and wit Tyrion has in combination with the innate hatred his family has for "killing" his mother makes him a black sheep. What Shae did at the trial almost made me cry as I was actually beginning to believe her and that took me off guard. I also feel a connection to Arya about being outspoken and not wanting to be a traditional lady. I hated Sansa for most of the books until now in the 3rd where she is starting to grow on me; I still don't really like her but I now tolerate her. Dany is also one of my favourites - she is so strong and suffered so many losses that she is just inspiring. Now that she realized some of her mistakes and is trying to be a fair, just and great leader is something that I admire. She could have continued on the path of destruction that she was on, but her reflections changed her mind. Castle - see Nathon Fillion above. But I really like the interactions between Ryan and Espisito - their relationship is very amusing. Mass Effect - I love FemShep as a paragon (that's how I play her with pale skin, blue eyes and red hair - yes I totally make my RPG characters look kind of like me) and the voice acting was so spectacular that I really felt connected to my character. I also love Kaiden as a romantic interest - he softness the hardness and intensity of Shepard. Joker/EDI are both fantastic for comic relief, and I love working with Garrus. Once upon a time - I love this show!!!! Mary Margaret/Snow I think she is awesome, especially as snow. I kind of want to be like her. I love rumpy/Mr. Gold - he is played superbly and I really appreciate the insight as to why he is the way he is. Ditto with the queen/Regina - she is fabulously acted and generally fucking awesome. Big Bang Theory - I love everyone, but there is a soft spot in my heart for the socially awkward Sheldon. Lip balm - tube or tin? I prefer tubes, but will take anything. Would you like to receive a journal or sketchbook? How about other pretty paper goods like post-its, notepads, bookmarks, letter paper/envelopes? I don't need them, but I like them. Favorite and Least Favorite Baked Goods I love baking especially anything with peanut butter my favourite recipe really almost anything UNLESS there are raisins in it. I hate raisins in baked goods. T Shirt sizes: T-shirt sizes are soooo hard to pick out. Unisex shirts I'm usually a medium so it can be a little bit baggy, although I do like a good oversized shirt to wear with leggings and a belt. Ladies shirts it's a hard choice, I often like tees to fit a bit looser as well and usually go with a large (although some shirts run small and I may choose an XL in those). As you can tell witch - I am useless. How do you take care of yourself when you're having a rough day? I like to read, have a long bath, probably some chocolate/peanut butter confection of some sort. Often though I will have a bit of a cry and generally that makes me feel a little bit better. Or if I'm in a certain mood, I'll play the most violent game I can (usually Fallout 3) and take pleasure in killing all the things - no anger issues here. Question about being let loose in a store to buy a whole outfit. This will be a complete outfit (underwear and shoes and accessories) because I am anal about making sure I have everything for an outfit. For this I pick American Eagle/Aerie. I shall start with the bra and be less than sneaky about sizing (partially for me and to be nice to my witchykins) I would pick this in Cashew (or whatever the nude colour is) in a 34D. Undies in the same beigeish colour - they are my favourites of all time!!! (medium). Now that undergarments are taken care of on to tops tank in black/medium for under this Sweater in a large forest green (in my world they are not sold out online) to make sure it is extra roomy. As for pants (those are important for sure) leggings in a large for my giant legs. boots in black in an 8 or these boots also in an 8/black. (I fail at finding socks I want peeking out from the boots (wooly things preferably like my etsy favourites)). As for accessories bracelet, necklace. That's a lot of info I know. What would you look like, given the contents of your wardrobe/etc? I'd wear my high waisted dark blue skinny jeans (they are yoga jeans and freaking awesome) with my knee high lighter brown boots. As a top I would wear either my green scoop neck shirt with the ruffles around the neckline (looks better than my description or my beatles Abbey Road dolman from the mirage in vegas with a long stone pendant necklace for either outfit. So I don't know if I need anymore gadgets (there's not much room left in the kitchen). As for spices - we are gluten free (well I'm not but my dad has celiac and we make dinner as a family) and it is difficult to find stuff that we are guarenteed to work. Do you like cute, seasonal or fluffy PJ bottoms? Like they sell at Target, Old Navy (they have had cute Halloween ones!) If so, what size do you wear? I love pj bottoms!!!!! I have relatively large hips and thighs and tend to move around a lot when sleeping/lounging so if they are too small I tend to rip them I'm now about a 10/12 in terms of sizing - at least for bottoms. I've gained some weight due to a knee injury last November that still isn't healed and I'm waiting a referral to a surgeon, but I'm trying to lose some but it's hard when I can't physically be active as I used to be. In the imp: Sharp leather, tempered by a sweet vanilla like scent with the floral in the background. Wet on skin: My decant starts off as a very strong hit of florals with sharp leather in the background. It smells almost powdery and a little headache-y. Dry down: The vanilla starts to peek out helping the leather to bash the floral notes into submission. Eventually the smoke comes out to play mingling with the vanilla that was becoming borderline too sweet to stay vanilla-ish rather than sugary. My description above may seem like I dislike this blend, which for the first couple of minutes or so I do until my skin does wonderful things with the vanilla, smoke and leather to create a very sexy, sultry, sweet but not foody scent with the hint of white floral in the background to make the perfume have a traditionally feminine feel. It's now definitely in my top 10 and the hint of floral makes it very different from the resinous, leathery, vanilla, patchouli blends that I reach for all the time. I can certainly see this getting as much wear as Snake Oil or Dorian and I'm thrilled that my nose doesn't completely reject the floral notes in this blend as they usually make me sneeze, no sneezing except for my typical allergies here.

I find that pink lace is more of an innocent sexy - the strawberries create a sense of purity but it is still a cousin of black lace which is v. sexy. Or lolita only for the name - a little innocent but still debauchery-like.

I also thought Bordello - maybe with something a little darker underneath like White Rider, just to give it a little edge but not become too heavy.

I instantly thought of Dorian - englishy, tea, lemon (fruity) and lavender always reminds me of midsummer night's and its quirky enough (at least in my opinion) for your personality and music tastes. All this Dorian talk makes me realize how I have been neglecting it and must wear it today. Double major in my case - Dance and Communications (basically like Sociology but focusing on media). I'm artistic and creative yet methodical. I have long red hair and at times a temper to match - especially when it comes to topics of justice. My ultimate goal after being a professional dancer for a few years is to become a human rights lawyer and deal with the ridiculousness that occurs in society. I love food - to eat but not necessarily to smell foodie. On Saturday a bunch of friends and I are going out to celebrate a couple birthdays (not mine) at one of the new clubs in our city and I need to decide on perfume (and hair for that matter - I have no idea what to do with my long, red, front banged hair). Did it ever get to you? Customs processing can be really slow. I've had the odd package take two weeks from CnS to door, when it usually takes 5 business days. yes it did - apparently customs got a hold of it

Is anyone from Canada waiting an abnormally long time for their package? I ordered on the 6th of March and recieved my CnS on the 19th and my package still isn't here on the south-west coast of BC none of my packages have ever taken this long before and it's now outside the 6-10 business days USPS states that my package should arrive. When should I start getting alarmed - I guess I am just particularly antsy about this package because it has goodies for other people in it as well

It's been quite warm here (Vancouver, Canada) lately and I can't get enough of Mlle. Lilith - that scent just screams warm weather to me. It's a little tropical but utterly light and beautiful. Plus the note that bothered my nose when I first got it has softened and the scnet is amazing now. Cheshire Cat is another scent that is getting a bit of wear with the warmer weather, all citrus-y and fruity with a chamomile calmness...yum

Of the 2009/2010 batch Wet: Smells a little like caramel on top of a slightly floral laundry degtergent on sun dried sheets (This may sound a little disgusting, but is actually quite a unique and beautiful scent). On the skin: Eventually I start to pick up a little spice underneath the soft sweet quality and I alternate smell the sugar-y quality, the linens and that lovely spice. The tobacco is starting to make itself known in combination with the other scents as well. Having never tried a linen scent before I am surprised (well I really shouldn't be though with Beth's uncanny and amazing ability to create seemingly impossible to create scents) at the exactness of the linen. Finally I am getting more of a soft vanilla, that still has a caramel quality but is now identifiably vanilla.Starts as this nice sweet linen-y vanilla with a little incense-y spice for the rest of the wear. The scent starts off innocent but the tobacco adds something to tarnish the innocent reputation, it is a great scent, and its not to heavy for day time wear but still sexy enough for going out on the town.

In the Bottle: Smells like vicks vapor rub...its weird but a really nice version of the scent On Skin: Starts off smelling nice and earthy quickly losing most of the vicks type scent, which I guess is my nose identifying the bay. Its definitely a 'dirty' scent. I can smell the patchoulli in the background and pick up a very spicy wood quality from what I assume to be the blackened sandalwood and the clove. This is very spicy and beautiful. However I am getting an almost vetiver quality (not a bad thing just unexpected) out of it at points and the amber warms and sweetens up the blend beautifully. I am amping the clove as the blend is very spicy but in combination with the other notes the blend isn't foody just absolutely lovely. I love this blend, and layered with Black Lace it is AMAZING, there's a little vanilla and booze with spice and a little bit of a 'dirty' feel. They are great both separately and together.

Very similar to Sin in all aspects (at least to me), just switching out the cinnamon in Sin for ginger here. I get a nice warm amber with spices all grounded by a nice earthy patchoulli from both blends. For me the patchoulli is definatlely a grounding note, with amber in the forefront mixing with the spices. There is also the addition of a little brightness on the top of orange blossom that Sin doesn't have (and on me it doesn't last long). To me Vixen seems like the feminine counter part to Sin, and even though I am fairly feminine I think I like the cinnamon in Sin more than the ginger (if I had to put them in a death match that is), although I really love both scents. And layered with the Lion tte amber is super amped and drop dead sexy on me adding just a little sway in my hips when I walk and giving me a boost of confidence.

Starts and ends up a lovely warm amber with a little bit of dry grasses and spices. Sweet and Spicy - I think it is one of my favourite scent categories. It matches the scent description perfectly. It reminds me a little of a more tame, less sweet chimera. Great for layering with things that I want a little extra amber in.

I absolutely <img src="http://www.bpal.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wub2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wub2.gif" /> this scent. One of my friends described it as positively made for me - a little fruity a little sweet and certainly spicy. In the bottle: fruity - a little like dragon's blood actually (and dragon's heart was a complete disaster on me which was a little worrying), there is definately a sweetness as well and a little kick of spice. On: This is a complete morpher on me. At first it smells exactly like it does in the bottle on, which is nice, but nothing super special. Then it starts to go powder-y and floral (which makes me think there is dragon's blood in it as it reminds me of dragon's heart, but not enough to make me take it off) with a little sweet vanilla, but mostly powder. About 15 mins or so later the powder recedes and there begins to be a balance of vanilla, incense and spices (personally get a foody type of spice like cinnamon). Eventually as I continue to wear it it ends up as a spiced, vanilla with a little incense in the background (this last phase is my favourite and it is undeniably sexy). Wear time: FOREVER...it feels like the scent was made for me as it just attaches itself and won't let go. I have put just a little dab from the bottle top on one wrist and then spread that between my wrists and neck/cleavage and elbows at about 7:30 in the morning and it lasts through 4 hours of dance classes and I can still smell it at the end of the night at about 11 pm. I am sure it would stay on if I didn't shower at that point. This is in my top three scents (with Dorian and Sin)and I find myself craving it all the time. Plus if I love the scent this much and it is practically brand new I can't even imagine how amazing it will be aged. ETA: I still have this bottle from early 2010 and it has become even more amazing - if that's possible. The scent has become smooth and velvety and has lost the powdery effect I used to get at the beginning. It is still in my top 3 and is the scent I go to when looking for a bit of a confidence boost.

I know sometimes I get a smokey lavender vibe from Dorian (which I believe is coming in your first order), but it seems to happen some days.

Wet: Sugar with a hit of sharpness underneath it, perhaps this is the heliotrope. It's not a very pleasant scent to my nose. Dry Down: Something about this blend just smells 'off' on me. I can't figure out where it goes wrong on my skin but some thing does, which is unfortunate because I like most of the notes, although I haven't tried heliotrope before.

Wet: Smells like those little hard fruit shaped candies. In particular the banana ones. Dry Down: Its still smelling mostly the same, but I thnk I am beginning to smell the neroli just a little in the background, but the fruits seem much too sweet on my skin. It is just too sweet for both my tastes and my skin, it is still a lovely scent, it's just not 'me'

Wet: Bright sugar-y fruit scented candle. Dry Down: It starts to have a more vanilla-ish vibe but still really light and innocent. It is morphing into a vanilla scented candle, which is odd with no vanilla notes, unless that is the amarretto I am detecting. I am finally detecting why it is called Bordello now it really does seem like something you might find one of the 'girls' wearing. However, it reminds me of a vanilla incense stick my parents used to burn, at least on my skin which is a lovely scent but not something I want to smell like all the time.
