HALLOWEEN: BROOKLYN When I was very little, my father took me to the Green-Wood Cemetery so that I could pay my respects to those who had passed before us. I remember the afternoon as cold and clear, I remember picking up pine cones and putting them in my mother’s handbag, and I remember the blanket of purple flowers that dotted the grass. Flowering dogwood, weeping cherry, Korean pine, camellia, moonflower, Alberta spruce, arborvitae, and crab apples. The spruce stood out the most in the bottle, almost so much that it scared me. On the dry down, the other scents I so wanted started to emerge, the dogwood started to take the forefront thank goodness! It becomes far more floral, I can detect the moonflower which I love and over all I get a greeny-floral scent, but it seems to fade rather quickly on me. I was pleasantly surprised over all, but sad that it doesn't seem to stand out more. I'm definitely keeping this one though.

I know this might be an odd request, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the label for the Ultraviolet scent looks like? Is it the generic with just the name or does it have a picture? If it does have a picture, could someone show me what it looks like?

Hooboy, I got the shipping notice for my last order while at the airport, but now I'm trapped away from home due to the baaaad snow storm in NJ. At what point does a bottle freeze over? I can't get a flight home till Thurs!

While wet, it was overwhelming amaretto. It was almost bitter and one note. As it dried however, the other scents came out, first the cherry, then the saffron, and lastly the coconut. Ironically, the amaretto has now taken a complete backseat to the rest. It doesn't seem to have much throw though, I have to just about hold my wrist up to my face to smell anything. It's delicious, but I wish it was more outstanding.

Wow, this was zippy sweet spice to me. Just a little something with the spice that made me think of radioactive glowing green. Definitely picking up a woody scent, but the sweetness is delicate but well balanced with the catnip spice. Maybe just a tiny burn from the citrus, but it's not overpowering. I surprisingly like it a lot more than I thought I would.

Sweetness, just pure sweet delectableness. While there was a subtle blend of different notes in the bottle, on the dry down I get almost pure sweat pea and cotton candy. I thought Skytyping with Chemtrails was candy like, but this one really amps up the sugars. I don't get much berry or lemon at all, maybe a hint of vanilla.

Mmmm, limey, minty, sweet pear. To me it's very light and sweet. Mellows a bit on the drydown. I don't get much spiciness out of it at all, so actually I love it more than I hoped for!!

Out of the bottle it was... Chinese dried salty plum candy! Yes, that sounds weird, but any Chinese kid is going remember eating this at some point and the memory of it just hit me soon as the scent got to my nose. The dry down brings out more clove, the sassafras fading but there's still a lot of brown sugar and plum. Very interesting combination. I like it.

Out of the bottle, something dark almost herbal, not that sweet. On the dry down, oh this grows beautifully! The honey really emerges and really goes well with the nightshade. It's a hint of spicy-herb but floral too, a deep and dark scent. Wow, I love this one. Sweet scents really work for me, but this is one that's not too floral and foody. Reminiscent of some of the wine based scents.

First impression out of the bottle: Plumy, creamy and smokey, the faintest tang of citrus, lovely deep and fruity. Wow! Drying down, the sharpness of the myrrh starts to emerge, taking out some of the fruitiness. Benzoin's a bit more notable now too. Still smokey, enough to tickle my nose slightly, but that beautiful deep plum is taking a back seat unfortunately. If I can keep that wet scent going in a locket or something, this would be fantastic. Over all, pretty nice, but I wish the plum would be more prominent.

Very woody herbal while wet. I normally hate vetiver, but it's beating the violets and lavender into submission. On the dry down, the white musk starts to emerge, blending with the vetiver and mellowing it out even more. Actually quite pleasant to me now, totally surprised. I'm not getting the whole angry thing out of this one, but as a scent by itself, it grew on me.

Plumy and rosehips, very nice while wet. On the dry down, the spice suddenly jumps out at me, very incensy too, but still a bit floral. After a while, the floral remains, the spice backs off a bit thankfully, but over all this is a fairly strong, almost sharp scent.

Very herbal, with the faintest spiciness to me that reminds me of geranium stems. Very little sweetness at all while in the bottle/wet. On the dry down, I get more minty scent with a touch of bitter-woody, but still not very honey-like to me.

I got this one because I loved the orris in Silver Phoenix and wet in the bottle, they are indeed very similar. A little more metallic and sharper though, not as sweet. Drydown - The dusty vanilla comes through, there's almost none of the soft orris left. It's more like what expected out of something called 'staged moon landing'. The undertone is a lot sharper, and that's where the sandalwood and galbanum become detectable. Definitely for those days you want something a little spicy and not too sweet.

Wet: Candied herbs, must be that lemongrass giving me that herbalish touch. Dry: Still sweet, more citrusy with a hint of the white musk showing up now. Turning into lemon candy. Delicious lemon candy. Oh definitely improved while wearing, at least with my chemistry. It's turning into something that makes me want to lick my own wrist.

The cake is a lie... Wet: If Pumpkin II and Eat Me had a love child, it would be Teatime in Roswell. There is definitely cake more than tea, which is a very subtle scent and just at the very bottom is that hint of cucumber. I only got those other notes after resniffing pumpkin and eat me. Otherwise all three just scream dry cake! Drydown: Ok, now that cucumber thing comes out. Not like Squirting Cucumber though. Like a chemical/ozone cucumber. How very weird! Almost more like licorice. Could be the tea finally poking through. Very mixed signals from this one. I might relegate it to the scent-locket wearing catagory to keep it as a cake-backup scent.

This was very hard to describe past 'metallic' and 'ozone'. There was a hint of sweetness, but not very dominant. A bold scent that would work well with a guy for sure. There's definitely an aquatic note to it while wet. Reminiscent of a guy's cologne as it dries with a bit more citrus and less metallic on the dry down. A clean scent, not cloying at all. It grew on me as dried, I could see myself wearing it too.

This is a deliciously juicy scent, sweet yet has a bite from the pepper. I get mostly that zippy orange peel and apple blossom, not as much guava as I was hoping for though. There's a summery feel to it, something that would be great to wear in hot weather.

I was very reluctant to try this one at first, sometimes the leather notes don't work for me. But this is old aged leather, well worn and warm, pleasant, then comes the zest of greenery and combines to become something incredible, almost spicy and warm. I couldn't stop sniffing myself! I could work for men or women, I was very very pleased that I went for the bottle.

At first sniff, that tangerine just jumps out with cypress deepening the scent. It's later that the musk comes out, mellowing the whole thing. Not as strong as I feared since citrus tends to carry a lot, but it almost faded too much. I think I would actually love to scent my pillow with this one as it might not last long enough while wearing it.

Definitely a lot of cinnamon in this one, with a lovely dash of frankincense. While there is a sweetness too, it's not cloying. In the bottle, I thought I was smelling wine at first, a rich dark scent, but on my skin that went away leaving mostly the spices and almost something waxy and woody. The throw is not very strong though, as it dried I practically have to stuff my wrist up to my nose to smell anything.

In the bottle, it's juicy pear and wine. On the skin, more floral and delicious, a lovely blend. However it didn't last very long on me. Three hours later, it's gone powdery-floral, no pear left at all which is a bummer. Maybe if I put it in a scent locket, I can sustain the pear and champagne notes longer?

In the bottle, the smell is a war between the rose and the lychee, there's an almost juicy 'taste' on my tongue from smelling it that is like biting into real fresh lovely lychee. I'm not sure what the cistus is supposed to smell like, but it's drowned out. Upon application, there is a balance between the fruit and the rose, less cloyingly sweet. Dry down, the roses are a little more amplified on me, but my chemistry does that, but the lychee is still right there. The throw is pretty strong, lasts for a few hours, I think I'm getting a little resiny smell that might be the cistus at last.

Out of the bottle: Very spicy, the sort from plant stems or geranium which was very startling. Almost more herbal than anything else. Dry down: A hint of creaminess taking some of the bite out of the greenery, a touch more different florals but almost not sweet at all. Definitely not fruity. Still very spicy to me. Totally different than the original from 2005, I get almost no creamy sweetness at all. Kinda disappointed in that. On it's own, it's an interesting scent that I'm definitely keeping, but as a replacement for dwindling supplies of the original Chaste Moon, it's definitely not the same!

For this vernal equinox, I received Ostara just in time to make a review. The intial sniff was surprisingly spicy, the florals giving me a very deep and rich scent, with rose trying to dominate but the other florals surging up after it. Initial application, the spices started to give way to the florals, not as sweet as I was expecting though. On the dry down, a bit more of a 'greenery' scent came through, the florals were strong and kicked the roses to the wayside, but not out of the equation entirely. It lasted a couple of hours, a bit better than most of the other scents I've had. The last traces were slightly powdery, more of the honey cakes and cream than floral. Overall I rather liked this scent, I was dubious at first, but it really evolved on me as it dried and became rather enjoyable. It's surprising how different everyone's reaction to it was. I'm a foodie/floral person though, so it really worked well for me.
