the DB is very nice. The rest of the florals turn a bit salty. Not quite like Dragon's Tears though - not that salty. more of a sharpness. not overpowering, but I prefer my DB tempered with something like musk or leather or sandalwood.

first let me say that I bought three (3) bottles of this and they are all the same I get absolutely NO leather in the bottle or on my skin, and the dreaded ROSE has taken over I'm leaving it on for now (bracing myself for the Rose-headache) just in case it changes....but I'm not hopeful. Rose wins 99.9% of the time it goes a pit Pinesol for about 5-10 minutes, then soapy for 5-10 minutes - then back to Rose with a hint of incense ** and it fades down a LOT in 2 hrs...just rose on my skin and maybe a hint of incense...and almost disappears an hour or two after that (just a hint of rose on my skin) NO LEATHER
-
I wish I got all that in mine in the bottle - opium, resins, and slightly cologne-y on my skin - very faint and a bit more biting/sharp....then it turns to a sweet floral that's very clean....and underneath bit of vetiver *sigh* not what I was wanting
-
this is the ONLY rose scent so far that I can wear. Normally, I amp it so much it gives me a splitting headache. Here it's so soft and subtle and nice...but there's still a "bite" in my nose to smell it it doesn't really smell "floral" or "herby" on me...but something in between and I can't pick out any other notes specifically
-
in the imp I smell sweet tarts on my skin, I get sweet tarts and musky incense. the sweet tarts goes away VERY quickly (just a few minutes), leaving a nice soft vetiver (not overwhelming like in some other blends) tempered with pencil shavings lol and an incense note and maybe a hint of wood...I'm not sure they would have come to mind without seeing ZZ's post...but after reading it, I can kinda pick them out underneath the vetiver and pencil shavings

Very light and sweet - Floral! almost a fruit note to it as well. I also picking up one of the labs lighter Rose notes (which always are bad on me) very much like one of the lighter Last Unicorn scents... I don't get any earthy or patchouli
-
I was hoping for more leather sadly, what I got was a wet scent that smells of mildew. there's leather there, but it smells like mildewed leather...even washing it off I smell like I'm moldy edit* I washed this off...but the smell didn't go away. In fact, HOURS later (6+) I can still smell it. There's a bit more leather, but it's still moldy mildewed

at first it's all black orchid and red musk - purpley and hazy - yay! then pretty quickly the golden notes and nutmeg come out and really turn this "foody" on me. I smell yummy - but I don't like to smell like food lol almost a gingerbread-like smell
-
it smells like Vix vapor rub only slightly "lighter" (probably the lotus)
-
definitely similar to BB, but it's (thankfully) is not quite as "vicks-rub" - there's still a hint of it, that must be the hemp b/c I *do* get "hemp" smell as well, that seems mixed in the vanilla is a much more mellow sweetness than BB, and it becomes more and more dominant as the hemp and patchouli give way. it's creamy vanilla but the other notes don't disappear, they just move to the background so you smell the vanilla *then* the hemp and patchouli. I like this much more than BB
-
a touch of sweetness from the vanilla and hemp. it's almost like eucalyptus or vicks or something. medical-rub meets hemp. there's some earthy patchouli too, but it's hard to distinguish it from the hemp. the "mediciney" quality grows - not what I want to smell like the patchouli comes out more too, overall this is a strong scent - you better like the notes
-
LOL you're going to laugh - really! it smells like BUTTERED POPCORN buttered popcorn with a bit of cinnamon definitely a FOODY scent!

BPAL's etsy page said this was a DD from 2005. Hopefully I'm not duplicating a post, but I checked all over... It's hard to tell exactly what it smells like in the bottle, but on my skin I get "pinesol clean". Very citrus and astringent. Even washing if off doesn't actually wash it off and I still smell like pinesol
-
super faint! really, really hard to smell it, even with nose to wrist. I definitely get a tinge of something brown, maybe woodsey, but it's just too faint to tell. the notes are soft though - not harsh or sharp. it's a bit like insence and there's a "brown" note in there.

Kusunoki Tamonmaru Masatsura Surprising a Fox Ghost

blue and soft with a hint of something lighter and almost tangy sweet, yet white. this becomes stronger and I can tell it's a floral. it's not bad, but it's too white and clean for me..though the blue musk makes it quite nice -

I was looking forward to this scent from the set more than any other. It finally arrives, I put it on my skin, and soap. all I get is soap. whenever a bpal scent goes soapy on me I attribute it to my skin chemistry, but that also means it's not a keeper. -
VERY strong champagne and heavy opium - you really need to like both notes to like this and it BURNS my skin!!!! *flails* instant reaction I washed it off immediately and my skin still burned for another hour
-
newer leather scents that are amazing include Captain Cully Ranger v5 (prototype) Ranger Paladin Fighter
-
deliciously smokey dragon's blood (though not as sweet as pure DB) over a hint of leather but I put a fair amount on and it's a lot fainter than I like. I'm not sure slathering will help but it's wonderful..if only I could smell more of it
-
I wish this were stronger on me. It's a very nice scent, but it's sooooo faint and soft. I went back and slathered it on my arm, but I can only smell it when my nose goes to my wrist or the occassional random waft as I move. In the imp I get more wood, but on my skin it's sandalwood and leather. but it's so faint I REALLY have to take a good long sniff from my wrist to get that wonderful leather note. (it's been on for 2 hours with no morphing and no getting stronger). I like my scents to be a bit more noticable, but it's quite nice! *edit - another 90 minutes later and the leather is coming out more! i'm hopeful!

blech. smells like tht old "shaped" soap we had in the late 80s /early 90s...you know the kind you bought from craft stores because it looked like seahorses or butterflies, etc.
-
Bright, intoxicating, hectic notes masking a twisted, corrupted core: sweet wild berry, spicy carnation and heliotrope layered over deep amber and musk. berry and sweet. has a juicy fruit quality to it, but better.
-
the first thing I notice is the spice. almost a cinnamon but not quite - more sweet, almost fruity. that's mainly what I get is a nice spice but it has undertones of wood. I would have said more of a orange/citrus than cherry, with red from the spice, maybe even a hint of red musk sadly, it stays VERY close to the skin and I like my scents to surround me a bit more. I like it, but not enough to hunt down this LE *edit a few hours later it turns almost soapy, still very soft and almost fruity spice is gone
-
oooooh that plum blossom!!!! it reminds me of Kitsune-Tsuki, but not as layered. after several hours I might be picking up some of the rice, but it stays a strong plum!
-
the fir is VERY strong at first then disappears within an hour. After that I don't smell much else at all, maybe light flowers, maybe... but it's almost like I put nothing on
