On, wet, this is WOAH SOAP. It's sharp and offensive and not nice at all. As it dries, this settles into a very fresh, pretty scent. Lilac is the dominant note, followed by cool grasses, and as someone else mentioned, freshly broken twigs. The kind that are green inside. Unfortunately, its exactly the type of scent that gives me a headache, even though it's so pretty. If you're looking for a cool floral slightly aquatic scent, this is for you. It smells like a fresh summer morning.

On me, this almost immediately goes to mainly coconut and chocolate. I wouldn't have guessed white chocolate, it smells more like milk chocolate. In the background, there is a very light sweet floral that isn't really "floral". It's more like the cool sweet floral in Snow White, which doesn't smell floral at all. There is a vague wateriness (lettuce?) to the scent if you know to look for it, but its not something that stands out at all. It's really very beautiful, and I think it'll be a bottle. ETA: This is so, so beautiful. Coconut and chocolate gives way after about 2 hours to a sparkling watery scent without being aquatic. It's sweet and pretty, and I want to smell like this every day forever. It does morph, but both stages of this scent are perfect.

The main note in here is definitely a sweet vanilla. Following that, there's cool ozone, a nip of sharp trees, and just a small whisp of mint. The mint isn't even mint so much as a "cool" note. When I first apply it, the sharp pine note threatens to dominate, but it's pushed back pretty quickly by the sweet vanilla and coolness. The sweetness combined with the ozone kind of reminds me of a dentist office or hospital (it doesn't smell just like them, mind you, it just reminds me of that smell). I like it when I sniff it, but when I'm not thinking about it, it's like "whats that weird smell?" and I realize it's this perfume. I get none of the earthiness that others are talking about. My skin does tend to sweeten things though, so it's not surprising that this screams sweet vanilla on me. Several hours after application, it sort of reminds me of what someone's house might smell like. Sort of warm now more than cool. Snuggly and fluffy, definitely. Like you came in from the cold into a cabin and there's a fire burning (not smokiness so much as warmth and almost a hint of woodiness without screaming WOOD!) and a big, thick quilt to sit under (one thats been freshly washed; I suppose this is the ozone taking on a laundry sort of scent).

I got this for the "salty sea air" quality. In my experience, that usually equals ozone, which goes terrible on me and causes raging headaches. I'm glad I gave this one a chance. At first it's mainly wet leaves, fresh wet leaves. It almost turns into ozone headache hell, but avoids doing so. After an hour or so, the leaves take a back seat to what smells like stepping outside from an oceanfront building on a rainy day and salty, cool fresh air hits you in the face. The leaves are gone at this point, and what you're left with is cool, salty fresh air. I can't believe Beth managed to capture this so accurately. It's not ozone, it's not "ocean fresh" aquatic, it's salty cool air. Downside: the staying power is almost nil. After the hour of wet leaves, the gorgeous sea air scent is detectable only if you sniff the skin directly. Even so, I may need to purchase a bottle as it's the perfect gloomy rainy day scent.

From wet to dry, this smells amazing. Appley goodness with a faint suggestion of cider, with a healthy tart kick of cranberry. Unfortunately, it smells like a candle, or something you'd want your home to smell like. It's a strange sort of scent to wear as a perfume. That said, it's so good and encompasses autumn so well that I'm going to wear it anyways. Very beautiful.

This is sweet bready pastry with berry frosting, as advertised. I was afraid I'd get a medicinal cherry note, but there is none of that here; the berry note is like a candy strawberry (as opposed to a real strawberry). I really like it, and it reminds me of bath and body products I've had in the past. Whether or not it's every day wearable, I'm not sure. If I could find a 1/4 bottle or something of this, I'd take it. One of the better foody scents BPAL has, as this one doesn't have that burnt caramel note that goes so terrible on so many of us.

Imp and on wet: Almond, which to me always smells like cherry On, dry: Turns into a slightly foodier Intrigue. The sandalwood (or something in here) is smelling a LOT like cedar, which I always amp to the point of overtaking a blend. This started out smelling foody, definitely got the almond milk and fig. Then they got pushed right out of the picture by the wood note. Sandalwood hasn't done this to me before, but it's smelling exactly like cedar does on me. This is really pretty. Clearly this is a case of skin chemistry and a blend not working well together.

Wow, I LOVE this. Imp: Red berries! Smells very much like scents my favourite bath and body etailers come out with around the holidays. Cranberry is definitely taking the spotlight here. A very juicy scent, which is great for summer. There's something slightly metallic close to the skin, which must be the gin. Nothing remotely minty or cool here, but this is my favourite from the Lounge.

Of the Lounge, this is the one I was most looking forward to as gingerale is my favourite drink, and it's great mixed with orange juice. This is nothing like that, at least not early on. The orange here is more like orange rind, very bitter. Bitterness is enhanced by the bite of the ginger. Now, several hours later, it's sweetened up a bit (which my chemistry tends to do) and smells more like gingerale and orange juice. Neat to try, but not really wearable.

Oh this is lovely, isn't it? Out of the imp: As advertised, a whollop of coconut, and a frothy cold note. Cold frothy note could be read as eucalyptus, but overall the scent smells very much like an icy pina colada. Several hours later, this is a toned down version of Snow White. Kind of like Snow White with a bit of Obatala. Earlier, this was definitely Snow White's fun loving sister on vacation somewhere tropical. Never had quite as much throw as Snow White, nor the lasting power. Overall, this is really beautiful, and I'd love to track down a partial but will not likely need both Snow White and the Princess.

Oh, it's good. It's very good. In the bottle, it smells like Snake Oil and O mixed, but maybe slightly sweeter. On, it takes on a very sharp powdery note initially. Not surprising because O does too, but this is a little much for several minutes. After that, Snake Oil balances it more and the blend really sweetens up. It's warm and cuddly but also incredibly sexy. I think a guy could pull this off too. The throw is awesome, and it lasts forever. I took a quick shower and I can still smell it without even bringing my wrists near my nose. It becomes more Snake Oil than honey eventually, but sweeter and slightly more powdery. I can see myself wearing this through the fall and winter. I love the smell of a scarf or coat collar with Snake Oil lingering.

The lab's sweet pea note smells nothing like the actual flower to me, but I sure do love it. On first test, I was very disappointed with this one and thought it smelled sort of like a fruity/sweet Bath and Body works candle or something. I came back to it the next day and wore it again, and loved it! The wafts truly are of pink candied lemonade. Sniff your wrist, and you get floral/fruity candle. Let it waft (and it does, this one has reasonable throw), and it's beautiful, juicy, fruity, sweet and lemonadey. Yes, lemonadey. Definitely a beautiful summer scent and after a rocky start, I'm glad I have this one.

This one smelled like gum when it was on wet. Lime sugar (mmm) and bubblegum (not something I want to smell like) As it dries, the carnation becomes more prominent, as does the tea. At this point, Luna is no longer green and juicy, she is spicy yet creamy carnation and tea. If you sniff real hard, that gum smell is still there. Mostly it smells like White Rabbit and Alice had a baby. Nice, but not at ALL the juicy, green summer scent I was expecting. I agree that it's very light, 10 minutes after application I have to press my nose to my wrist to get a whiff. Verdict: It's okay, not bad at all. But somewhat of a disappointment because my hopes were high on this one. ETA: After about half an hour of wear, this sort of morphs again. It goes to green musk/lime sugar/pear and is quite delicious. You can't smell it unless you huff your wrists though. If it had any kind of throw or wear length it would be great.

I am the aforementioned faint of heart. This blend is definitely not for me. Chocolate is a note I love, and I get none of it in this. Instead I get a heavy, foreboding tobacco and black musk. It's very dark smelling (and looking, for that matter). It smells like the bad guy in a very dark action movie.

This quickly became one of my favourite scents. On, there's a coconutty note, and a crisp, cool note, and a slightly tart note, that like others have said, could *almost* be apple (which would be appropriate to the scent's name). The playdoh note is somewhat present and is more pronounced on the skin, so maybe its a chemistry thing. I don't get any floral notes from this, and if they're there, they're very sweet and subdued. This one is a huge compliment drawer.

I tested this in February and thought "meh, coconut. S'okay." and didn't look at it again until a week ago when I wanted something refreshing and appropriate for work. This is gorgeous coconut. It's warm as coconut is, but there's a coolness about it, probably from the water. The throw is far, but it's not that strong. People will smell you, but the scent is pretty universally pleasant and it won't bowl them over. I can't wear this in the winter, because it just doesn't have the same effect then. It needs to be warm out to truly enjoy this one. It's also one of those ones that smells much better on warm skin than cool skin.

This is a great comfort scent. I reach for it when I'm spending a quiet evening at home, or if it's rainy out. Sometimes I use it instead of TKO as my sleep scent. There's an herbal, dry grassy note which is the heather. The berries don't scream "berries!" but lend a sweetness, slight tartness and depth to the blend. There is something faintly floral here, but this is not a floral blend. I'd characterize it as "clean", but not at all in an aquatic way.

This one is almost undetectable in difference from Baobhan Sith, except I prefer Baobhan. Embalming Fluid is slightly sharper and more lemony and doesn't have the crisp freshness of the white tea that Baobhan has. I have imps of both but don't wear this type of scent enough to warrant a bottle (nor do I work out enough to warrant a bottle )

Frimp: Oh hai rose. Where are your stemmy, sappy friends? All I smell is you. Very sweet and true rose, the truest rose scent I've ever smelled. On, wet: Mmm, the same! Still no sap or stems, this is gorgeous, sweet rose. I can see where people get "appley" from. IMO, real roses have a sweet, fruity scent to them when they're fresh. Dry: Stems and greenery make an appearance and the rose sharpens a bit. This is now greenery/stems and rose. Already this is fading quite a bit and it's only been like 10 minutes. Staying power is indeed lacking on this one, as most people seem to agree. Verdict: You have to be in the right mood for this one, and it's not something I'd necessarily reach for a lot. My frimp is enough, and I'll be keeping it and enjoying it.

Imp: Same peach note as Fae. Good news! On, wet: Something is setting this apart from Fae slightly. There's a note, almost picking it up as cedar, but maybe its a combo of sandalwood and vanilla. Dry: Whatever was smelling like cedar has sweetened into candy. The whole blend now smells like a Valentines Day candy from my childhood. Wait, no, it smells exactly like the scratch and sniff Valentine cards I once gave to my classmates. A bubblegummy scent almost, but not super sweet. Overall: Fae's peach is gone and we're left with scratch and sniff bubblegum. What a morpher! Since my chemistry sweetens everything to tooth-decaying levels it's very possible that this would be earthier (especially judging from the notes) on someone else. I like it, but it won't be replacing Fae for my favourite peach blend.

Starts out as yummy syrupy dessert. Quickly turns to mainly grass. Temporary sadface. Until I realize that the strawberry is still there, just more authentic and fresh smelling. Like you picked on off with the vine still attached and pulled it in half and sniffed it. That sweet, tart strawberry scent lingering with grasses is gorgeous. That said, my friend told me I smelled like a scented candle.

Oh man, this couldn't be better for me. In the bottle, the lavender is very herbal and very reminiscent of the Healing Garden lavender line. As it dries, the vanilla comes out more and more and becomes very sweet. I love it. The only problem is that it has no lasting power whatsoever, it's gone within a couple of hours on my skin. This is just an all around good blend to have in your bottle-box, for times when you just want a comfy scent or when you've had a bad day or aren't feeling well. ETA: I wasn't expecting this to help me sleep, but I think it IS! During final exam time I usually have nightmares and sleep very poorly, worrying that I've overslept or that my alarm didn't go off. If I put on some TKO before bed, even at times when I normally sleep horribly, I get a good, uninterrupted sleep and don't constantly wake up or have nightmares. Awesome! ETA 2 years later: Still have this kicking around, and I can confirm that it still puts me out at night. With age the astringency of the lavender has waned a bit, which is nice. It's still got a kick when you first apply, but its pure lavender pillowy marshmallow within minutes. The smell makes me smile and makes me drowsy almost immediately. It not only makes me drowsy, it improves my sleep quality. Still love this stuff and am tempted to get another bottle to start aging because it's a bit strong fresh. It's just so cuddly and comforting with the extra age on it.

This is very very close to Dirty to my nose, but has the same sweetpea note as Mouse's Long Sad Tale. It's like a lovechild of the two, and is very nice. Unfortunately I have bottles of both already. Sweet pea is the top note, followed by light musk (same as in Mouse's Tale), and vanilla (tonka, I guess). Sage doesn't come into the picture on my skin.

This sounded so beautiful In bottle: Oh, this is very pretty. Fresh, clean, feminine. Very nice. Wet, on skin: Something sharp floral immediately amps in this making it smell like BO. Oh dear god. I almost think it could be gardenia or something like it. Within about 2 minutes though, the BO note goes away. In fact, the scent goes away almost entirely. I smell some sweet, very light fresh floral, something ever so slightly warm (floral warm/spicy, like petunia stems or something), and maybe a hint of something creamy. Drydown: Same as above, only you can't smell it more than an inch away from the skin. Verdict: It's really pretty, and I'm glad the BO flower of doom leaves quickly. On the other hand, I'm not so happy that the entire scent seems to dissipate on my skin within several minutes. ETA: Really, really dry: This seems to resurrect itself. The petunia stems are still there and we have the sweet spring florals, and I'd agree with everyone else that they're tulip/daffodil. It's still very close to the skin, but I actually get whiffs of it now. Anything creamy that was present wet isn't there anymore, so if you bought this for creaminess you will be disappointed. Happily the BO flower of the first 2 minutes never made a reappearance. This is really pretty, I'll keep my bottle and make good use of it this season. ETA: The closest comparison to GC scents would definitely be The Unicorn, only this is less green.

On me this is straight up grape juice and sweet pea (good, Welch's style grape juice, not the Koolaid variety). Both of which are yummy, but I'm getting no honey, carnation, or sandalwood here. I even had my boyfriend (who is actually hopeless at identifying notes) sniff this and he said "Mmm...smells like grape juice. And flowers". Yep, that it does. It's quite yummy but not something I'd reach for every day. Not a morpher, and stays pretty similar to how it smells in the imp.
