In the imp, Snake Oil. Wet on skin, aged Snake Oil and faint cherry...or is that Dragon's Blood? It's Snake Oil candy! As it dries, it turns into Snake Oil Bath Oil mixed with frankincense, then it starts to get more and more powdery. I usually hate perfumes that go powdery on my skin but this is different. It feels comforting, but it doesn't last long at all.

You hit the nail on the head. I can't describe this perfume any better. When I first applied this I thought "Fruit Stripe Gum!" and I also smelled something effervescent. I absolutely LOVE this, it's so refreshing, fruity and happy. I love smelling like candy.

MCCLXV In the bottle, sweet lime. Smells odd. On skin, it smells like fresh lime and lemon juice with honey. If this had a taste it would be the warm honey-lemon drink my mom used to make for me when I had a sore throat. It's syrupy, thick and dripping with honey. I feel like I may attract bees if I wear it outside but it's a beautiful day and I'm going to go jogging anyway.

Sharp spearmint in the vial. I don't know what possessed me to put this on but now it's more of a spearminty-lavender. I don't like this as perfume; but it would be great for aromatherapy. It definitely woke me up.

WOW. This is the SEXIEST patchouli blend I've sniffed yet. The sandalwood note in this is delicious and velvety. The frankincense gives it a green-spicy smell. I could slather this all over myself because it has such a silky feel yet it's not overpowering. I just ordered a bottle along with my get-em-before-they're-gone limited editions.

Sweet, fruity floral. I smell the juicy peach! This is very fresh and pretty. The honey tries to make it creamy and reminds me a little of Defututa, but this no floral compares to Defutua...yet.

Anise, Aniseed, Licorice, Liquorice, Fennel, Ouzo?

Paduan Killer Swarm smelled like Jaegermeister to me. I love that perfume. -
Underbed smells like one of those chocolate-coconut candies...Mounds? For a while I smelled something minty but now that's gone and I smell plastic. This is too foody for me... ----- I have a 1/2 decant of this now (1st test was a drop from a soaked qtip) so I can do a better review. The cassia is very intense upon application, but after 3 minutes it starts to fade and I smell a lovely chocolate-coconut cake. I love that it's not too sweet and foody and I'm thrilled I can wear it because cinnamon oil irritates my skin and cassia doesn't.

Mmmmmm! Smells like patchouli and dark madagascar vanilla syrup. I would almost expect to see vanilla bean specks in the oil. On the dry down I smelled a little earthy-mustiness which is obviously hemp, but it faded away pretty quickly. Right now my wrist smells like pure vanilla and I'm in love. THEY NEED TO GET MORE OF THIS STUFF IN STOCK!! ETA. After some time aging, this perfume loses the hemp note (imo). The result is a smooth blend of patchouli and vanilla that almost smells chocolatey. I've bought a couple of fresh bottles and they still have the musty hemp note...nothing that a few months in a dark box won't fix.

I love patchouli with an unholy passion. It's the same patchouli as Goblin, with some frankincense and a drop of cedar (which is the same stuff I smell in Mme. Moriarty). I really like this oil and I can't wait to try it out in my next yoga class.

Fruit punch! I love fruity-sweet scents so this is perfect. It reminds me of Loli.Goth without the musk. ETA: I sniffed this again today and I noticed a distinct orange note. It still smells like fruit-punch, but with thick, syrupy orange juice...or is that a big splash of Grand Marnier?

This is a green, crystalline musk floral (aka sexy!) I felt a minty cooling sensation on my forearm when I applied the oil, which must be the mugwort. I can pick out black orchid, cucumber, green grass (?) and massoia. There is a general fruitiness to this blend but I can't tell if it's pear because it doesn't smell like pear to me. I just put this on my full bottle wish list. It's one of my favorite Lunacies next to FRM and Panther Moon.

^^I have Ondine's unwanted mini roll-on now. I've always wanted to try one of these "ethereal florals" I keep reading about. In the bottle it smells sweetly floral. On my skin it's a cool, succulent white floral with a touch of fruitiness like a young white peach and honeydew melon. I had a vision of a moonlit garden. It dries down to a soft, sweet floral. I've never smelled Herbal Essences but now it smells like it could be a shampoo scent. This is very pretty but I wish I could smell more musk and sandalwood.

I have no idea what year mine is...it's in a cobalt bottle so it's old aged. Bottle: Boring florals. I didn't test this for a week because I wanted to "write it off" as a floral scent. Wet: Night-blooming floral which smells like jasmine. A little incense. Brown sugar. Dry: Brown sugar and creamy white floral. I rubbed my inner elbow a little and sniffed again and now I'm smelling bitter dark chocolate. I'm one of the few who loves jasmine and other night-blooming white flowers, especially when combined with incense and sugar. This smells so velvety, luxurious, and delicious. I'd love to roll myself in a puddle of this. It's that good.

Fuwu Bansaku in Ruined Temple With Black Monster on Umbrella
Gold Dust Kitten replied to windbourne's topic in Event Exclusive Oils
Bottle: Smells yucky Wet: I don't smell vetiver in this at all. As a matter of fact, this smells like Goblin's weaker younger brother. I smell black coconut and something like the patchouli in Goblin but it's nowhere near as delicious. Dry: All that's left after 4 hrs is a sugary skin scent. I had high hopes for this with coconut + currant, but I was underwhelmed. -
Rawrrrr! I bought this because I love black cats and the notes made me think it would be amazing. Bottle: HEAVY musk. Wet: It's the color of dirty motor oil. Smells like dark, luscious, resiny musk. It reminded me of a more masculine Smut. I didn't slather but I put a few dabs around like I usually do and it was too much. Dry: Nag Champa incense <angels singing>. The heavy musk phase has calmed down and I notice it really does have a Snake Charmer vibe. I love this phase! 3 hrs later: It still smells like Snake Charmer but very close to the skin. So glad I bought this slinky black Panther bottle.

I have a new Holy Grail quest out for Underpants. I was gifted a sample and it's as good as I thought it would be. First sniff was scary. I smelled the same sweet cream note from MB: Closet which smelled a little funny on my skin upon initial application. After a few seconds, this exploded with saffron, vanilla, and butter rum. My skin loves this. It's soft and sexy and it made me want to cuddle with my kitty cat and just sniff my arm all night. I've had this on for about 4 hours now and I can still smell it lingering, but now it's a lovely caramel. There was a very short plasticky phase when I sniffed up close, but it's worth enduring.

I love hard-candy scents. This smells like a fluorescent glittering rainbow...or a lemon, pineapple, strawberry, and cherry Blow-Pop, and marshmallows. And it lasts! Drool. ETA: I found a bottle of this on eBay and it's more marshmallow than the decant I have. It's still delicious.

I debated on buying a bottle of this after reading the reviews, since they were all over the place. Since I'm a sucker for blackberry and I lovvvve Red Velvet, I went for it. Upon initial application, I get a buttery cupcake smell that scared me for a few seconds. Then the blackberry intensified and I was in love. The blackberry was sweet with just the right amount of tartness, as if the foody notes kept it from turning it cough-syrupy. The bottle art is super cute too. I'd give this a 3/5.

This is everything I hoped it would be after reading the description. Lush, creamy vanilla, sandalwood and oak...sweet, citrusy apricot (not a foody apricot but more like Burt's Bee's apricot baby oil). It had decent lasting power, too. This scent feels like it casts a hazy golden aura all over me. A truly spectacular experience!

Smut 2006 This is a muskier version of Snake Oil. I loved the intense but smooth musk and dark boozy notes when it was wet, and the final dry down of chocolatety goodness. It's competing with Snake Oil for my #1 scent. Super sexy and delicious. 2008 version Smut lite. It seems watered-down. I'll use it in the Summer when I feel naughty but can't have a super-heavy perfume on. 2010 version This is similar to 2006 Smut, but with a vanilla ice cream note. I guess this is what newer Smut smells like or there's a different component...I'm guessing the latter because the oil color is considerably lighter than my motor oil thick '06 bottle. (ETA descriptions of different Smut vintages)

I have a hard time picking out all of the notes but it's generally resiny, woody, sweet, and spicy. I smell a faint ginger spiciness that reminds me of the same ginger in Flesh Eating Reindeer, champaca, benzoin, musk and myrrh. I also get a "dusty" feel from this. I live in the desert and whenever I wear perfume I could still smell it hours later under a dusty film. This smells like that.. I'm so glad I bought a bottle of this, it's a very alluring and complex blend. Too bad it doesn't have better throw and lasting power.

I'm also a HUGE coconut fan. I Tiki Princess. I didn't think Blood Pearl was a good coconut scent. I can barely smell coconut over the orris and it ends up just smelling perfumey. I still need to try Black Pearl but I can say that Obatala (fresh watery coconut) and Goblin (black coconut) are winners. Goblin is on my to-order list when we get the update.

Huh...I haven't reviewed this yet. This has two of my favorite scents in the whole world: Snake Oil and honey. The honey is sweet and delicious, like orange blossom honey; and I can't say anything bad about Snake Oil. This is a true winner and well worth tracking down more bottles in the future.

This barely smelled like anything in the bottle, and on my skin it was nothing spectacular. Wet, it's floral and pear and drydown is floral and light musk. I really wanted to love this. Maybe I'll mix it with something else. The art-deco label is gorgeous though.
