A tousled, sexy mix of patchouli, vanilla, and hemp.

Weirdly wearable! Brown sugar-glazed sweet potato musk with honeyed ambrette, pulverized pumpkin seed, white oats, toasted cardamom, and sugared clove. From the bottle and wet on the skin it smells like sweet potato mash with a spiced oat and crushed pumpkin seed topping. There is a whisper of brown sugar but it's not caramelized or burnt, more like fresh brown sugar when you open a fresh bag for holiday baking. It's not buttery, there is no crust note here!! It starts off foody but as the notes open up, it starts to lean more towards an elegant gourmand perfume (as opposed to a buttery baked good type of scent, which is such wonderful news to my nose.) I love that the spices are not reading as cinnamon and how the soft musk of the ambrette is holding all together. It's the perfect accessory for getting dressed up for a fancy Thanksgiving dinner. It's a shame it was so limited, it's a lovely scent just perfect for the season. Really well done, just beautiful.

Revenge is the only sustenance I require. Unearthly dark beauty, utterly haunting: a haze of purple poisons, precious oud, black plum, dried black cherries, smoky vegetal musk, and incense.

DADDY isn't defined by gender: it IS a gender, and it's anyone's to try on. It takes all kinds — masc daddies, lady daddies, queer daddies, punk daddies, muscle daddies, soft daddies, big daddies, baby daddies, noncorporeal daddies. Subtle differences in skin chemistry ensure that no two people will wear DADDY quite the same way; this power is yours to wield as you see fit. No leather jacket, no fishnets, no problem! (But if you want 'em, we know a guy.) A roll in the hay with a sexy demon daddy: a diabolical incense with a splash of bay rum and a hiss of infernal fougere. Congrats, you're a DADDY now too! PS: DADDY is being released with a variant label. Will you end up with the butt or the crotch? It's a mystery!

I couldn't find notes on this. I'll have to ask Lilith who Kwamie is when I see her a dinner this evening. This is the softest and most fleeting of the three Lilith creations. It's so soft and so light and really quiet. It reminds me of a soft stuffed toy lamb, not a new one, but a raggedy well loved one that smells of lots of bedtime baths and bedtime stories. I have zero maternal anything about me, I'm allergic to human babies, but this made me say, "Awwwwww!"

White noise, isolation, interrogation: static-white musk grating against ink-black musk, black pepper, and clove.

Dost thou think, because thou art virtuous, there shall be no more cakes and ale? — Sir Toby Belch Hell yeah, we’ll have cakes and ale: honey cakes and stout.

This is a first for us -- a pup fundraiser to help out our friends at DD, whose dog Harlow has had a terrible medical emergency requiring surgery. To that end, we present HARLOW'S LACE: "A gentle, soft blend of sugar-spun vanilla, honey absolute, warm puppy musk, ambrette seed, sweet labdanum, tabacco absolute, and white cognac."

Will they or won’t they? Or did they already?? How thrilling to live in a world where femme-phobic stereotypes are being challenged and it’s no longer taboo for queens to hook up with each other. The scent of two drag queens in love: Red musk and cotton candy.

An unimaginably ancient scent, older than time. The gentle, fluttering embrace of oblivion: myrrh and blackened champaca blossom, attar of oudh, black amber, Casmir wood, and dried fig.

Tobacco absolute, myrrh, opoponax, black sandalwood, and black pepper. I love tobacco, LOVE! This is the note I love in Black Lace and Havana. Sweet, a little smoky, a little chewy. Wet, it's ALL tobacco ALL the time. After it dries, there is a hint of the black pepper and a whiff of woods. The longer it dries, the sweet tobacco and woodsy spice gets rounded out and goes all smooth and resinous with the opoponax and myrrh. Autumn VII morphs quite a bit, but stays gorgeous the entire time. Decent throw and staying power, this is one scent I wouldn't mind reapplying throughout the day.

Sweet oudh, fossilized amber, tonka bean, coffee, and tobacco absolute.

Collaborator of Queenly virtue Elizabeth Barrial of Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab and Twilight Alchemy Lab ritually crafted a limited edition perfume oil during the Venus in Taurus series election. Of it, she shares — Once more, O Venus! hear my prayer, And ease my mind of anxious care; Again vouchsafe to be my guest, And calm this tempest in my breast! To thee, bright queen, my vows aspire; O grant me all my heart’s desire! – Hymn to Venus, Sappho Translated by Francis Fawkes. The scent feels like a cascade of pale, crystalline roses; it is a silken bedsheet clinging like the langurous drape of a half-open dressing robe. It is the crashing wave of rapture, it is the scent of passionate words breathlessly gasped between entwined bodies. It is the ecstasy of the moment of release from the pain of heartache. It is a bouquet of swelling joy that beauty inspires, and it contains the essence of the blossoming of self-love that enables you to truly love others. Utilize this oil to develop your appreciation of your own beauty, to open yourself up to the beauty of others, when creating art or when you wish to enhance your appreciation of the arts, for opening your heart and unblocking your receptivity to love, to aid healing romance-rooted emotional trauma, and to bind lovers together. This is a perfume of love, of mending hearts, of union, and of the expression of love and union through the arts; this is a hymn to Venus. Honey absolute (Apis melliferra), vanilla absolute and CO2 extract of vanilla (Vanilla planifolia), Bulgarian white rose otto (Rosa x alba), Bulgarian rose absolute (Rosa x damascena), white champa flower (Michelia alba), Motia attar, jasmine sambac absolute (Jasminum sambac) Sumatran benzoin (Styrax benzoin), ylang ylang essential oil (Cananga odorata var. genuine) solvent-extracted cassie absolute (Acacia farnesiana), rose-infused vegetal musk, 24k gold, pink and red rose petals.

This is one of the best batches of Abre Camino oil that I have made so far, and that’s saying a lot ‘cuz I’ve been making it for roughly twenty years. It was blessed and charged over one lunation under the auspices of Mercury, Hermes, and Tyche. This batch contains oils sacred to Mercury, Hermes, and Tyche, and was – of course –crafted with Eupatorium villosum. Each bottle contains a bit of abre camino pulp.

I managed to grab all three of the Lilith's Dragon Con exclusives at the booth yesterday and meet the little lady herself. I can't seem to find any notes or information on this scent. I'm terrible at reviews without knowing the notes because my nose likes to play tricks, Soft, pretty, slightly floral, sweet, with the barest breath of lavender that leaves so quickly it made me wonder if it was imagination. Definitely the strongest of the three scents and it's morphing quite a bit. I'm not sure if I love this on me.

Back in 2016, we had made plans, a bit premature as it turned out, to travel to Washington D.C. to see the first woman sworn in as president of the United States of America. It was not to be, but we Barrials are nothing if not flexible. Along with some our best friends, we decided to travel to the Capitol to protest the vile man that is ruining our great country. A year later, she rode my shoulders again at the first anniversary of the Womens’ March in Los Angeles. With my beautiful daughter on my shoulders, we marched, we shouted, we made our voices heard again. Truth will prevail. A scent of power and courage for my daughter: sweet milk and cardamom with vanilla pod and nutmeg. Warm, spiced milk. Very soothing, ultra-comforting. This would make a perfect bath oil for bedtime.

SUGAR PLUM FAIRY Queen of the Kingdom of Sweets: sugar plums, vanilla-infused sugar, tiare, amber musk, apricot peel, and a light dusting of cacao. I knew it would be good, but if I had any idea it was this good I would have ordered more bottles. Sweet, mouthwatering, smells how watermelon Jolly Rancher candies taste. The scent just glitters and dances and gets better, deeper as it settles. The tiare and musk round out the sweetness. The apricot peel enhances the fruit factor, keeping it from being too candy sweet. No cocoa as of yet, which is just fine by me.

O spirit of love! how quick and fresh art thou, That, notwithstanding thy capacity Receiveth as the sea, nought enters there, Of what validity and pitch soe’er, But falls into abatement and low price, Even in a minute: so full of shapes is fancy That it alone is high fantastical. — Orsino Effervescent rose chypre and bourbon vanilla.

Silk threads unraveling: sheer vanilla and violet leaf with jasmine sambac, white musk, and tea leaf. I sit and sew – a useless task it seems, My hands grown tired, my head weighed down with dreams – The panoply of war, the martial tred of men, Grim-faced, stern-eyed, gazing beyond the ken Of lesser souls, whose eyes have not seen Death, Nor learned to hold their lives but as a breath – But – I must sit and sew. I sit and sew – my heart aches with desire – That pageant terrible, that fiercely pouring fire On wasted fields, and writhing grotesque things Once men. My soul in pity flings Appealing cries, yearning only to go There in that holocaust of hell, those fields of woe – But – I must sit and sew. The little useless seam, the idle patch; Why dream I here beneath my homely thatch, When there they lie in sodden mud and rain, Pitifully calling me, the quick ones and the slain? You need me, Christ! It is no roseate dream That beckons me – this pretty futile seam, It stifles me – God, must I sit and sew? – Alice Moore Dunbar-Nelson
