If there is one thing that my loving daughter has learned from me, it is to always be humble in victory. The scent of shameless gloating: sparkling honey and a hint of salty biscuit. I may go back for this one, too. It’s the smell of a clean baby chewing on a teething biscuit. Just precious!

Lilith has always loved music – especially singing – but this year, she started to get serious about it. This photo was taken this past April, while she rehearsed her slow, haunting cover of Riptide. A scent that smells to me the way Lilith’s voice sounds when she sings that song in her deep, thoughtful, sweet voice: wild plum, shadow oudh, osmanthus, and patchouli. I know I'm going to love it when Beth throws wild plum into a bottle a resins. I've had the pleasure of spending a little time with Lilith at the past two DragonCons. Her voice has a unique quality, and Beth nailed it with this scent. High and low, airy, yet purposeful.

As the winter encroaches, the time comes to embark on the last Great Hunts of the year. The deer are fattened, the fields have been reaped, and the light of the full moon illuminates the wild creatures that have come out to glean. This scent is redolent of night skies, falling leaves, and the high-pitched tension and release associated with the Hunt. A blend of traditional lunar oils touched with dry leaves, autumn bonfires, warm mulled wine, feral, animalistic notes and the chill of approaching winter.

Daughter of Pan and Echo and dear friend to Demeter. When Demeter was mourning the abduction of her daughter, Iambe was the only creature in heaven and earth that was able to lend cheer and laughter to the grieving mother. Her scent is one of comfort, beauty and joy: Sudanese amber, patchouli, rose, gardenia, gladiola and white tea. First Impression: Tea and amber. Second Impression: This has a sharpness about it, it's not smooth and glowing like I thought it would be. It mellows as it dries to a golden slightly resinous floral. I also think I smell jasmine in this. Final Analysis: Nice, very nice, but not a favorite. May swap this one.

I Will be Strange, Stout, in Yellow Stockings

Bewitching Brews: Slivers of warm, pulsating blood forever crystallized in golden amber resin. I've been begging for this and the Lab so graciously indulged me by throwing this in with my order. First Impression: Wet this is all dragon's blood in all it's thick, juicy perfection. Second Impression: As it dries it warms and sweetens with glorious golden amber. This scent is truly burnished red and deep gold like the leaves in the height of the fall season. Final Analysis: This is everything that I had hoped it would be; balanced, warm, sweet. I am eternally grateful. EDIT: Moved thread from Up-and-Coming and added new site category --Shollin

I am interested in finding out which BPAL fragrance has the fragrance of Figs present. I know there is a single note Fig available, but any others? Thanks in advance! ---Andra
