Anise, Aniseed, Licorice, Liquorice, Fennel, Ouzo?

I don't know if you're only looking for BPAL but Genteel by Arcana is gorgeous licorice/aniseed: Aniseed, 2 vanillas, dry amber, sugar, and cashmere musk with wisps of fine sandalwood and cedarwood. -
Yeah, but I like cough syrup cherry so it doesn't bother me! Kabuki is more foodie cherry.
-
My favorite cherry scents are The Red Queen, Jester, Hideous Heart and Kabuki.
-
Most of there are hard to find, but they came to mind first! Jailbait Vetvet Pink Kitty Velvet Unicorn Jester Kabuki
-
Tiki Princess for sure and also maybe Blue Fire?

Oils with the strongest throw or sillage - the most noticeable scents

Mme. Moriarty has tons of throw on me. I once got a compliment the day after I wore it! -
In bottle: Slightly floral spice. Wet on skin: It's very red smelling for sure.....like cherry licorice! Dry on skin: It's soft and buttery and I can definitely pick up a candy vibe. The red currant gives it a great spicy kick at the end. Verdict: I love it!

In decant: Somehow it smells like red hairspray? Wet on skin: It smells a bit like strawberry Suave shampoo to me. I can just pick up the cranberry and a fruity musk. I had a sneezing fit about two minutes in but I'm not sure if it's related. Dry on skin: It's super pink for sure but somehow it's smelling a bit aquatic to me as well. I'm not sure what note that is but I think it's the cranberry. I can definitely pink up the fruit musk and currant but it still reminds me a little bit of shampoo. The tanginess makes it smell a little bit like powdery candy. Verdict: I think I'm gong to put this away for a little bit and see if it doesn't need a little age. Right now, it's a generic pink/red musk scent to me.

I'm in love with this. It's a very rich and thick, sugary vanilla without it being girly if that's possible? I could hoard this and really wish it was available in a perfume oil!
-
To me, old ladyish means powdery and heavy on the rose. Wanton reminds me of something my mom used to wear back in the day.

Ew. In the bottle, wet and dry it smells like moth balls on me. Gross. I had to wash it off.

Mme. Moriarty, Misfortune Teller (2006)

I'm so sad that I waited this long to try the Mme! At first rather woody on me, she morphs into something dark and sweet and sexy. Once on for a bit, I can smell the patchouli and pomegranate and it's lovely. I'm so glad I bought a bottle at Seattle Will Call! I've gotten complements every time I've worn it. -
I love this and the boy does, too. It smells like cinnamon and spicy honey on me. I have Butterfly Bushes in my yard and this is what the flowers smell like. Delicious! I must hoard the precious.
-
If you can find some Slaugh I suggest you pick it up. It's like a more dry version of SSS and I love it as well!
-
I wore Jailbait....super candylicious!
-
Cheshire Cat is one of my warm weather scents as well. More grapefruity but super citrusy and tropical!
-
I agree with Tiki Princess....it's lovely! Blue Fire from the Atomic Tiki Lounge is also a very tropical scent to me.
-
This is beautiful blueberry and lemon meringue at first.....delicious! The final dry down gets just a bit plasticy but I'm betting with a little age it will be just fine.
-
I'm going to admit something here; I *loved* Vanilla Fields when it first came out. Celeste smells like a much more sophisticated, complex and grown up version of Vanilla Fields. Instant love and I shall be buying a bottle.
-
Very after shave and cologne-y smelling on me.
-
This was super aquatic and soapy on me and not in a good way, unfortunately.

I agree with the reviewers that said this scent changes each time you wear it. At first it was all black tea. Then it went through a serious cream/milk phase that I didn't enjoy at all. The last time I wore it, it was creamy in a carnation kind of way and it was gorgeous. You never know what you're going to get but it's fun to try to guess!

One of my very first purchases and I can't believe I haven't reviewed it! In bottle: Cherries! Like Luden's Cherry Throat Lozenges that came in the little metal tin. Wet on skin: Cherry wood! Dry on skin: This settles into such a pretty scent. Very woody without the pine and the cherry and current really compliment each other. This is one of my top five favorite scents.

This is spice, spice and more spice and I love it. If you like cinnamon then you will probably like this. It's an intense oil that may cause irritation on some people. I like to layer this with something soft and creamy so smooth it out a bit.
