Earth and tea in the imp and wet on my skin. Sweet perfume appears on the drydown, but it's so perfumy that I really don't like it. Meh. This one goes in the swap pile.

Sharp lavender and herbs in the imp and on my skin. It took me a little bit to identify the wood note as evergreen or balsam and that has almost overtaken the lavender as the dominant note here. I'm hoping some of the incense notes that others are getting will appear soon. A very light throw, and I'm afraid it will be gone in an hour or two. Overall, a nice "wintery" scent that I really like. I'm just afraid it won't last on me.

Smoky rose. Actually, rose, rose, rose! And rose in a good way -- wonderfully full and fragrant and not at all soapy or sour.
-
A light floral at first, but there is definitely some incense and musk in there and it's not so light anymore. It is a very nice scent!

In the imp it smelled like sweet cough syrup and I had a momentary debate about actually putting it on before I did. On drydown, I'm getting vanilla and sugar, but not much else. I'm hoping the lemon and sweetpea show up at some point. Wearable, but not a favorite.

Crisp fruit in the imp and wet on my skin with just a hint of green appearing as it dried. However, there is a floral note in here -- something white -- that is pushing the fruit into the background. Maybe even a bit of musk. Very light, pleasant scent.

Soft florals, a bit of green something, and a hint of musk. I am in love!

Aquatic, sweet floral that has a really powerful throw on me. I love the scent, but I think I'm going to be smelling it all day -- which really isn't a bad thing.
-
Lavender and narcissus with just a hint of dusty wood, which I believe is the balsam. Very light and perfect for a rainy, sort of melancholy day (like today!).
-
Sweet, earthy lily and aquatics with a subdued gardenia tone. My only complaint is that it is so very, very light that it's not going to stay around long.

A lot of pear and rose in the imp and wet on my skin, and I was briefly afraid they wouldn't play well together but they seemed to resolve their "issues" once the freesia appeared and the sickeningly sweet violet finally went away. There is a slightly woody undertone which, like Stellans, I'm assuming might be the Queen Elizabeth root. Unfortunately, while quite pretty, this scent has hardly any staying power. I can barely smell it two hours after application, which makes me sad.

Dry, dusty wood and celery, then just dust. Utterly and completely meh. Off to the swap pile it goes.

In the imp: green and floral. Wet on my skin, the cherry blossoms pop and a very light citrus appears as it dries down. It has an almost plasticky tone, but I really don't mind it. Not getting much of the tea, but I don't mind that, either. Very light and very pleasant. This one may go on the "get a bottle" list.

In the imp: sagey, dusty sweet pea. On my skin, sweet pea with just a hint of sage but as it dried the musk slowly appeared. It is a lovely, light scent and doesn't appear to be disappearing off my skin as I thought it would. I might just have to get a bottle of this one.

The '08 version: vanilla, white florals and something just a little chilly. A lovely scent!

Grape Nehi is all I'm getting on this one after several hours. I had high hopes for the gardenia note, but no dice. Sigh. Into the swap box it goes.

In the imp and wet on my skin: someone just mowed the lawn. It took about half an hour for the florals to show up, and white rose appears to be the winner. Still a teeny bit of green undertone, but mostly rose. It's very nice.

A light white floral with some greenery. Very pretty.

Sweet, creamy herbs that only got better as the day wore on. Strong throw with a great staying power. Soooo glad I got a bottle of this one! -
In the imp and wet on my skin, dark floral with incense, but it also had a bit of a sour note that sometimes shows up when incense is involved that I've since learned to ignore until it goes away. Mostly incense on drydown and then after about two hours it was completely gone. Disappointing, really.

I was a little nervous about trying this one given my last experience with mahogany (Mata Hari - eccch!) and it was very woody in the imp with just a hint of incense and a slightly bitter note. In fact, in the imp and wet on my skin, it smelled a bit like an old apartment I had in New Orleans. On dry down, the pachouli, amber and musk have amped and I'm just now getting a hint of fruit, but no strong pear note. It's turning into a lovely, gender neutral scent that I think I'm going to have to try on the bf.

Minty citrus candy. That is all I'm getting on this one. Disappointing, really, because it has a great throw.

Wood, incense, and herbs at first. Quite wonderful, actually. On drydown, I started to get a light floral note that mixed in well with the others. Light and very pleasant.

This one is definitely worth investing in a bottle of! Wow! The lavender and white tea are very subtle in this one, allowing the resins, frankincense and musk to come, and they all play well together. Even the bf said I smell great!

Squid is an odd one, but not in a bad way. Lots of incense, juniper and fruit both in the imp and wet on my skin. As it dried, it kind of reminded me how World Market and Pier One Imports used to smell before they went all corporate and mega-chain -- exotic incense, bamboo, etc. It still sort of smells that way now, although some aquatics have appeared. I like it.
