  1. If you like Snake Oil, this is the perfect chocolate scent. It's not overly foody-sweet, it dries down to a delicious dark chocolate cocoa over vanilla. Hmm, I'm not sure, since Snake Oil has a lot of spices + incense, and that in combination with chocolate usually makes the chocolate more prominent on my skin. I want something that's not traditionally paired with chocolate, like dirt + chocolate, mosses + chocolate, salt water + chocolate, etc. But thanks for the recommendation anyways. Boomslang is on wishlist.
  2. I'm looking for an un-chocolate-y chocolate/cocoa, if there ever was such a thing? I've always thought that chocolate/cocoa is not for me. All the chocolate/cocoa blends that I've tried, the chocolate part always turned somewhat dusty and muffled on my skin, and often overwhelmed by other spices in the blend. They also have the tendency to smell more like Hershey's Kisses rather than Godiva's 83% on me. With that said, I do have a bottle of Dark Chocolate, Cognac, and Whiskey Truffle. Recently I got a sniffie of Black Temple Burlesque Troupe, and now I'm looking for a bottle of that too. It seems that the common theme between the two is that the chocolate/cocoa is overpowered and beaten into submission: by cognac and whiskey in DCCWT, and by black musk and tobacco in BTPT. Is there another scent along the same vein? What do you think about Cthulhu in Love?

    Milk and Cream Notes

I second the recommendation of Nonae. This might not apply to everyone, but Boo comes off on my skin as sour goat milk. I tried Boo before I did Nonae, and my first impression of Nonae was, "Boo?". It comes off as both sweeter and more tangy than Nonae somehow. You could easily track down a decant if you'd like to try it, as it's available now.

    Eau de Pooch

Thanks for all the recommendations yall. Pa-Pow it is then. Even though my Garlic is more a "high-strung, egotistic urban-dwelling b**ch who sits next to the window and barks at any dog who passes by the building" than a "sun-warmed puppy fur dusted with California wildflowers."
  5. If you don't mind civet, you might want to give Yule Cat a try. As a first impression, I wrote down on my notepad, "stinky wild cat got the cream!!!" And that's exactly the picture it paints: a wild cat who's capable of scratching your eyes out, but for the moment languishing in the sun tanning herself.

    Eau de Pooch

Yeah. Exactly what it says in the title. I realize I might be somewhat of a weirdo, but I find that I really like the scent of my dog. Specifically a day or two after she's had her weekly bath, where it's still a clean musk mixed with a trace of the chemical leftover from her doggie shampoo. I would wear it if I could duplicate it, yes I would. So yeah, has there been a animalistic/musky BPAL that reminds you of dogs, but in a good way? I do have Wolf Moon 04, but while it definitely reminds me of the wild, it's not the tamed puppy that I'm looking for.
