This is clean and gorgeous, and the violet leaf blends something wonderful with the tea (the resulting floral is probably not everyone's cuppa – no pun intended), but overall it's verry close to Kumiho on me, and I prefer that scent over this.

A celebration of one of the first commercially produced perfumes of America's Old West. A rugged, warm blend of vanilla, balsam and sassafras layered over Virginia cedar. This is straight up sassafras and vanilla on me, and the vanilla is one that is verrry creamy. I don't get much of the woodsiness at all. It's got good throw – a drop or two goes a long way, and great lasting power. Tombstone has totally just dethroned Stimulating Sassafras Strengthener as my favourite sarsaparilla scent.

Instant love. Which is strange since rose is not my favourite of scents, but the flowers are sweet – like sugared petals. It's basically a rose garden in my bedroom. Great waft for a small spritz, too.

Gorgeously fresh citrus. It borders slightly on generic air freshener, but it's pure scent, without any of that nasty chemical aftertaste. I'm fairly frugal with the spray, but it still lasts a respectable period of time. Love it.

A lovely rich scent in the imp, all burnt coffee on me. My theory is that the Hooligans were so... hooligany that they distracted the barista, which ended up ruining this pot. Disappointing

Quick question: I remember there being a few Australian resellers named on the lab website (two in Melbourne, iirc), but they seem to be gone with the latest update. Does anyone know what they were/if they still carry BPAL?

This is overwhelmingly sour on me, I definitely see where the 'pee' likeness angelicruin mentions is coming from. It has absolutely no throw, but that's probably a good thing given how bleh it smells. Pass.

Teakwood, oak, black vanilla, and tobacco. Whoa. Vanilla, what vanilla? This is totally dominated by the wood and the tobacco. It actually reminds me strongly of the smell a Chinese medicine/herb shop would have. I think I need to let it age a bit before retesting – was really looking forward to that sweetness that everyone else seems to get. -

#219 First of all, this is filled well into the neck – it's insane-o just how much oil is in this bottle. Two, I am completely awful at picking out notes, so this is going to be really vague impressions/completely incorrect note guessing. With that out of the way... this is nice. I think I lucked out with this, because it's definitely something I would wear. In the wet stage there's something a bit sour, which makes me think lime, because it's not too citrusy. That fades on the drydown, though, and the vanilla shines through, and it's just sweet and gorgeous, with a very subtle kick. Loving it! Edit for great justice: sour? Lime? What was I smoking? Upon further testing, there is absolutely nothing sour at any stage of this, which makes me think I was hallucinating it. It's light and creamy, the vanilla's still evident, but there's something else here that is sweetening this up. Floral? White musk? Whatever it is, it's delicious. Still loving it! -
I kept on forgetting to get an imp of this with my lab orders, so it turned into one of those that I covet for ages, but turn out a bit meh when I actually get ahold of some (many thanks to girasol for the frimp!). This is consistently citrus, grapefruit peel mostly, which is really nice, but something I would've liked more when first getting into BPAL. The ginger comes out after a while, by which time the scent has all but gone.

Whoa foody. I don't have much experience with the lab's foody scents, and if this food-lite one is anything to go by, I won't have much more. Sleipnir is a very rich hazelnut, if I hold it closer to my nose, I get honey as well. Probably a better one to wear when you're feeling hungry – I had some Tim Tams earlier, and this is a bit too much. Wearing it in a scent locket atm, although it's pretty much the same on my skin from previous tests. The throw and wear length is better in the locket, too.

I had such high hopes for this one. Oh, it's fantastic at first, an amazing freshness that I never would've associated with Durian Fruit (not a fan; I dislike the smell and the taste). About ten minutes later, wham, the fruit turns sour and the brandy comes out in force, so it's cloying sweetness + wet smelly feet. And then it attracted a midgie (ofc it could've been not the perfume, but I am hellbent on blaming it), and IT'S NOT EVEN MIDGE SEASON.

So green! So sharp! Kind of like capsicum! Mixed in with freshly picked chilli! I want to give it a bite! But it's not really wearable, for me.

This is really, really nice, like chai tea for my skin. I love the cinnamon sweetness to this, and out of the three Honeys I'm skin testing now (Durian and Jerusalem Cherry), this has got to be an easy favourite. So different from the decant too; there it was mostly eucalyptus-y, and I'm happy that it makes the change. Possible bottle purchase!

It's like I'm in an antique store! Aziraphale is all wood (heh heh heh. Yes I am a child), freshly shaved. This isn't something I usually wear, but it's so delicious. I like like this, and as we all know, like like can lead to love
