In the imp: CITRUS! Right after application: the sharpness of the citrus fades a little and hints at a gentle, soft undertone. I think it's the grapefruit or the yuzu that's still prominent but maybe it's the amber I'm smelling? I like the crispiness and I love the mellowness under it. Drying: is it tangerine I am smelling? I'm not sure whether I like it or not. About 20-30 minutes in: light tangerine smell. Pleasant, pretty, but I don't think I'd get a bottle of it.

I remember that the first time I tried this, about a year ago, I was turned off by the bourbon scent. I am going to try again to see if I have better luck this time... I want to like Wanda, to be honest. In the imp: ugh, alcohol. Very strong, bitter, nose-burning alcohol too. Wet: Wow, this one makes its presence known! Still bitter, but I start to smell other scents too. Drying: The scent is still strong, still bitter, but a sweetness is emerging. This scent is getting more complex the longer I wait. I am starting to actually like this one! It's very different from other scents I have tried. I'm not sure if I like this scent, but it sure likes me. It keeps on demanding I pay attention to it! 20-30 minutes in: settles down to a nice 'red' scent, with the booze calmed down to a pleasant buzz. Not sure yet whether I'll be getting a bottle, but I AM going to see if one young man of my acquaintance likes it.

Received an imp of Aeval as a bonus in my first or second order, and instantly fell in love. It is floral but not too sweet, and made me feel very cool, composed and grown-up. I have since purchased a bottle and given the imp to one of my best friends (who had never heard of BPAL before, so maybe I made a convert.) I am not really sure what the individual notes are that I smell. The tonka and musk seem to be very light on me, I guess I am mostly smelling the sweet pea. It's a cool, clean, white scent. It doesn't last as long as some more pronounced scents but the drop I put in my cleavage seems to be hanging on for dear life. Aeval on me is chic yet suitable for daily wear. All in all a favourite.

When I first got a whiff from the bottle, it smelled very sweet and heavy. I thought I would like the smell of cocoa! On my skin, it's a little better, and gives me cravings for chocolate all day I'm not sure whether I like it. To my nose it smells a bit garish, overly indulgent and cloying. I'll try it again later and see if I change my mind... it's a shame, I wanted to like this one.
