I'm not sure what scents I'm getting out of this...but it is very sweet, fruity and fun. I could swear there's a touch of honey in this...
-
I will agree with everyone who said that it smelled gorgeous in the packaging but didn't do much in the water. It does smell amazing though! Wish there was some other way to use this...I will vote for this one to be made into a perfume or a bath oil...that would be amazing!
-
I just got my decant and used it in my bath last night. SO good! Pumpkin and a bit of spice, but I think the Honey is the star here. This stuff is so good! Very sweet! I didn't notice any skin sensitivity, which made me happy. ETA: So, the first time I used it there was no skin sensitivity...last night, however was a different story. Wherever the oil touched my body it left red marks and burned a bit. This sucks because it's one of the yummiest things I have ever smelled. I will try to just use it as a perfume oil.

I smell Mandrake here, but I get a big burst of the Basil too. It is very sharp starting out, but mellows into a nice scent. Meh, it's ok...

I actually love this blend! It reminds me of Sea of Glass, but without whatever makes Sea of Glass "sparkly"...sorry that's vague. Ameles Potamos is a VERY deep, dark aquatic...I love this, and am glad it's a CG so it will hopefully be around for a while. I had tried this at will call last month, and just loved it...lovely and serene were the words that popped into my head. I had the same reaction today when I tried it again...it really is quite lovely. 8/10

I'm finally getting to try this, thanks to the lovely Stellans for sending me a decant! I've always been a fan of Mistletoe and The Snowstorm and figured Skadi (despite the hype) would be similar... Nope. I don't know what I'm smelling apart from cold slushy pine and bright red winter berries, but it's much more than that. There's a musky quality to the scent (after about 2 hours of wear) which is amazing. I wholeheartedly agree with everyone that has said that this is the perfect Yule scent...it is. I will enjoy my Mistletoe and Snowstorm, but will break Skadi out for Yule and for the first night that it snows after I make it back to NY...what a magical scent. yes, please resurrect?!

This was one of the few I didn't skin test at Will Call because I opened the bottle and it was ALL smoke! I just tried my decant, and it is a glorious scent of buttery pumpkin, blonde wood and just a hint of that dreaded smoke. I wonder why they are so different...oh well - this is super! I will definitely use this decant up! Gobble gobble...

I finally got to test this one today! Yup...it's that good. When I sniffed the decant, I thought it might be too similar to October, but it isn't. It has a similar vibe to October and Sonnet D'Automne, but very different...sweeter and muskier...and boy do I love this. I'm very glad to have a decant!!! Forgot to mention the leaves in here...amazing.

Truly the scent of autumn itself -- damp woods, fir needle, and black patchouli with the gentlest touches of warm pumpkin, clove, nutmeg, allspice, sweet red apple and mullein. After trying and trying and trying different years of Samhain, I am giving up. I don't know what it is that I don't like, but it's in there. Instead of apple and dirt and other awesome autumny things others smell, I get chemicals and nastiness. I don't even get any patchouli (which I do love) and I'm very sad that Samhain doesn't work on me.

Holy moly cinnamon marshmallows! That's about it folks...it's nice, and I will enjoy my decant, but I don't get burnt marshmallows/camping from this at all.

THIS is the Red Musk blend I have been looking for. I'm so happy this works on my skin: it is just a glorious resin-y red musk with some tobacco and hemlock peeking out. Love this, and I'm so glad to have a bottle. Lust and Hygeia both work on me too (in fact, Lust is one of my top 10 forever), but I can't think of another red musk blend that has worked on me aside from those. This is not just about the red musk though...I think I can pick out each note, but they are so beautifully blended that it is difficult. 9/10 And it's a GC!!!

I thought I was smelling a bit of a Lily, but someone upthread mentioned Tuberose, and I think that's more accurate. I'm not big on florals, but this is one of my favorite oils...a very nice light musk with a hint of Tuberose, or maybe Lily... love love love...and I'm so glad that I got my bottle in the mail today! 9.5/10

I think this is the Patchouli used in Luperci...but I could be wrong. http://www.bpal.org/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/00000288.gif Holy it slaps me around! I think this one needs to sit in the corner for a bit and think about what it's done... http://www.bpal.org/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/icon_smile.gif This should be fabulous after some ageing. ETA: I'm seeing mention of people getting Cedar from this...and good grief I wish I did! ETA: I sold my first bottle and just bought another because I gave up too soon! http://www.bpal.org/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/icon_smile.gif I AM a patchouli freak and I know this will age well. Fresh out of the hot mailbox (so sad...poor oil!) the globules of cocoa are stuck to the inside rim of the bottle and on the bottom so I roll it and it starts to assimilate a bit. NOW I get the cedar shavings that others have mentioned and it's kind of a nice lift! I smell very thin patchouli that definitely needs time to age, a touch of cocoa and nothing else. I'm wishing that I kept my other bottle because it would be glorious already by this point...and I can't wait to smell this bottle in a few months. Right now this is a 5/10, and I predict it will become a 10/10. I have hope! Eta: So. This guy took a while to mature. I just decided I needed to smell this again and am so glad I did. I don't get any cocoa, but that's ok. This is a redwood/cedaresque patchouli. It has smoothed out. There is no more high pitched whiney smell anymore. It is comforting and I am so glad I kept my bottle. What a gem. Only took just over 5 years :-)

I can't believe I haven't reviewed TKO yet...I wear it to bed almost every night! If you love Lavender, you will love this. It's sweet, but not TOO sweet. There must be some Vanilla here, although I see many folks have mentioned Marshmallow, which I would agree with as well. At the beginning, I almost think I smell Eucalyptus, but just a hint. I actually love the smell of Eucalyptus, and it is a relaxing, calming oil, so I wouldn't be surprised if it is actually in here. This is an oil that I wish still came in 10 ml bottles, because I am rapidly approaching the bottom of my first 5 ml, and I know I will go through many in my lifetime. Seriously, this stuff knocks me out, and helps me sleep soundly. It doesn't hurt that it smells delicious too. 10/10 Still, after more than a decade, 10/10 but I came back to add (on 12 Feb 2023) that I feel like this is Lavender and Palmarosa. I love it.

Well, I love Tulips, Peony and grass... I really tried and wanted to love this, alas it just went soapy on me...and things that go soapy on most folks rarely go soapy on me. Eh, it smells awesome in the bottle though!

I had 3 imps of this one, so I combined them and put them in a roller ball...I tried it out tonight. Before BPAL, I NEVER went within miles of a floral scent, much less a screaming white floral scent, and I am shocked at how much I love this blend. I know I love Iris, and I'm getting the impression that I'm a Lily lover as well...this is gorgeous on my skin. I love Ivy as well, so I guess I'm fortunate that the notes I already loved are the ones that are most prominent to me. Love this...9.5/10

I loved how this smelled in the bottle at Seattle Will Call - yum Red Velvet Cake and Snake Oil! So, I'm not sure how much the final version changed (or if it even did) from the Proto, but wowza...no Red Cake at all in the bottle I bought, just a touch of Snake Oil, lots of smoke/booze. I'm glad so many people are loving this, but it's definitely not for me.

This is the scent of the cupcakes that her (kind, generous, and wonderful!) Aunt Sarah made for her birthday! Lilith's request was for sprinkle flavored cupcakes ("sprinklecakes!") with pink and purple glitter frosting, and that's what she got. That's what you're getting, too: this cupcake fragrance is the sweetest of the sweet, the sugariest of the sugary! Rainbow sprinkles baked into rich vanilla cake with thick, creamy frosting topped with glittery candy flakes. Strong vanilla/almondish in the bottle... Boozy vanilla and chocolate on my skin...doesn't seem to morph, it's just VERY sweet... Yes, I will agree with everyone that said this will make you smell like a cupcake...yup yup. Too sweet for me!

I actually quite like this...not enough to get a big bottle, but I was very scared of the Vetiver. I think the Vetiver is balanced nicely by the Teak and Patchouli, and the clove doesn't ruin the blend. I was hoping the Teak and Patchouli and Champaca would win over the Vetiver, but it turned out to be a tie.

Green peppers? Hmmm...the dry down is actually really pretty - a bright gardeny smell - but oh the green peppers in the beginning!
-
I agree...Gnome.

I love this blend. The only worry for me was the honey, and it plays nicely here because it understands that the Vanilla soaked linen accord, lavender and jasmine are the stars. Kind of sweet, but this is one sultry blend...I'm always a sucker for lavender, and this lavender blends so well! The Opium poppy even likes my skin for a change. I think I will be wearing this one quite a bit this season, and late spring.
-
All of these notes (even together) should have been a big win for me, but the blend on my skin was not a win. Very boggy moss...the grapefruit was there till drydown, but it was really doing strange things with the moss. Hmmm...I didn't smell Orris, but the honey was certainly present. Glad I got to try this one, but it will find a new home...poor thing.
-
Clove...I should have known better than to even try. Every other note would have been a win - clove played nice for about 5 minutes, and then it was game over.

This smells different to me than the bottle out at will call, but I can't complain - it's awesomesauce! Wet, it smells like a Apple Cider Fruit Punch. While it dries, the spices (namely the cinnamon) come to the fore and me on the nose. Then...oh then...the apple comes back, the spices settle down, and it is beautiful. It's a sparkling harvest cider, and I love it.
