Couple in a Bathhouse With a Go Board

Have to admit what attracted me to this scent is how I fell in love with Chrysanthemum Moon, and I am now always searching out chrysanthemum scents, and the obscene amount of k-dramas I have been watching where everybody is playing Go. This scent is simple and lovely. The dusty, vegetal mums are bathed in astringent black tea, lightly honeyed with the candied lotus root. All three notes sit atop one another, and at different times each step forth and shine. It is a nice balance--the lotus sweetens up the mums, and the tea keeps the lotus from becoming cloying. And the mums give added dimension to the tea. Do I want to drink it? Maybe. Does it make me want to play strip Baduk with a hot Joseon prince? Most definitely.

Goes on herbal with a sharp stab of pennyroyal. Not minty, but a suggestion of mint, if that makes sense. Then it becomes a bit like Midwinter’s Eve with the blackberry and pomegranate taking center stage. The fruit fades into the background a bit and sits on a bed of sweet and swirling resins. The copal is more prominent than the patchouli, but the whole bouquet is sweet, warm, multilayered and deep. I would definitely consider this to be a signature scent for a Scorp.
