Parsley, eh? That's what I get when I open the vial, anyway. On me, it's tea with lingering parsley, and some dust for good measure. After a while, a drier woodsy note creeps out of the corner but it's still barely noticeable. Shame that I don't get any red musk! Still is still better than what I was expecting, however. I'd go for it if I weren't getting that parsley note. Wait, was that just a cherry tomato accompanying the parsley? Don't worry, it's still mostly tea on me. But still. I'll have to give up on this one.

2011: This immediately elicited a nose-wrinkling reaction from me. I do however appreciate the spicy touch this has. In the vial, I am immediately hit with the deep earthiness, but the spiciness quickly follows with each whiff, like an after effect. After about ten minutes, the woods are definitely more pronounced, but I am surprisingly getting no rose from this, which my skin usually amps. It's a little too earthy for my liking.

Oh yeah, now that's mostly earth mixed with pomegranate. On me, there's something astringent about the soil. It's a bit on the sour side. A bit of a contradiction, but once I get passed the earthiness, I can detect a bit of soapiness, most likely due to the florals. After about five minutes, the pomegranate starts to slowly disappear on me. It's getting swallowed up by the domineering black soil. It's sure different, and fortunately not as offensive to my nose as I thought it would be (earthy stuff and I don't really get along). Still not my cup of tea, though.

This is such a sweet apple in the vial kissed with gentle florals. Oddly enough, once I apply the Glittering Apple to my skin, it shifts years and goes slightly dry, although overall, it still remains sweet and floral. The Glittering Apple has surpassed my expectations, as the ylang ylang kind of scared me. There is something very crystalline about this. Very nice!

Ah, so glad you like it! I love the lingering marshmallowy sweetness. It's heavenly. -
Very dry crunchy leaves coupled with equally dry woods in the vial. Yet there is a fading greenness that reminds me of autumn, when you're walking along a grassy path in the cool autumn air. On me, it goes even drier, which is not a surprise. And drier, and drier. A sharpness from the cool air still remains, though. No smoke. This is pretty much what I expected it to be. Not really up my alley.

This screams autumn in the vial. The autumn leaves, chamomile, and a sharpness, probably from the mums, are present. Odd how the autumn leaves instantly vanish once I apply this to my skin. I'm surprised the roses aren't taking everything over. They normally do for me. Ten minutes have gone by and both the roses and leaves are behaving very surprisingly well. This is such a refreshing, gentle floral. I used to frequently wear florals like this, but despite the fact that I have moved away from them, I just may need a bottle of this. I can see this one age beautifully.

This was one that I worried about because white sandalwood is usually far too dry for me, but in the vial, I luckily don't get that. The rest of the notes dominate and it is white, soapy, and heavy on the lily of the valley. On me, it's the same for the first five minutes. After after, the spiciness from the carnation makes a modest appearance, and there's also a whisper of something darker in the background. It's a little too sharp and white floral-y for me to handle when I smell up close, but when I wave my hand, the wafting scent of this is glorious. Very classy.

I am instantly welcomed by the pomegranate and mulberry in the vial. It's quite tart. It reminds me of Io minus the red musk and mango. On me, it goes on darker and drier from the myrrh, yet it isn't distinctly myrrh. There is also something vaguely minty in the background but it's not distinctly spearmint either. About fifteen minutes have gone by and nothing has changed. My skin is loving the fruits, and the myrrh, while more pronounced, remains delicately woven throughout the blend. Pom lovers would really appreciate this.

Regarding the apples, I was looking forward to this one and the Green Apple of Venus the most. There are a lot of winning notes in this one. In the vial, this is all apple, frankincense, and ginger. On me, it's the same, but the apple is a little stronger and crisper. After a few minutes, there is something about this that turns a little dry. I don't get any of my beloved carnation, however, the tea is starting to unfold a bit. It takes about fifteen minutes for the tea to become spicier and the carnation to join in, although the spices and carnation are very faint. They add a beautiful touch to this. This one morphs on me a lot so I'm going to have to test this quite a few more times before making a final conclusion.

This was one of the few that I was really looking forward to. I love all of the notes in there except for the very end: the dead, dry leaves. Despite the fact that all of the other notes ideally work beautifully for me, I had a feeling the leaves would take over everything. Well, in the vial, they sure do. On me, it's slightly better. The amber and white musk step up and challenge the dead, dry leaves. I don't really get any sweetness from this that I thought I would from the vanilla-infused white cocoa. Dry, it has practically stabilized itself and stayed the same. Soft, dry leaves delicately laced with amber and white musk. It's a beautiful scent, but not bottle-worthy for me, after all.

Very dry in the vial, and full of cypress. On me, the apple and black musk show up. This is actually nicer than I thought it would be. It's very dark, but mellower, and the apple blends very well with the resins. The longer this is on my skin, the more the apple fades, and the more generically resiny this gets.

Initially, I thought this was going to be great. Like a bright and wonderfully happy pumpkin blend. Then I started thinking that maybe I'll find it boring due to the combination of fruits. Upon opening my vial, a beautiful pumpkin wrapped in amber and sweetness, probably from the honey, wafted through the air. On me, the amber comes out even more. I can smell delicate chocolate curls now too. After a few minutes, the guava has made an entrance, but it's just enough to give this a hint of tropical in the far distance. The more this dries down, the more perfumey this gets. I am contemplating getting a bottle of this.

This really does smell deep red in the vial, and the laudanum is pronounced. On me, lunar florals blossom and there's a hint of tobacco. There is something cologne-y about this too, but it's not too overpowering. It has quite good throw too. Not what I usually go for, but I actually really like this.

Compared to last year's, 2011 is a much more relaxed, subtle version. The coffee note is practically missing, and I don't get that pumpkiny maple syrupy feel that I got from 2010's. The cinnamon is there but not as strong. Last year's version reminded me more of freshly ground cinnamon with which you bake, but this cinnamon is a bit on the candyish side. Delicious but not as delicious as 2010.

This is one that I was looking forward to. When I first open the vial, I am hit with a classic white floral, yet there is something underlying off about it in the background. The off note kind of lingers in the air even after I put the cap back on. When I sniff the wand up close though, it's elegant gardenia all the way. It's sweeter than I expected. I thought the sandalwood and ambrette seed were going to put a damper on the sweetness of the florals but I guess not. Not complaining though! It's beautiful. Actually even nicer than I expected. The white musk ties everything together in this blend wonderfully.

Damp and earthy in the vial, yet a bit sweet, maybe from the fruits. Initially, there was something in here that turned me off but my nose quickly adjusted and whatever it was mellowed out. There is a sharpness to it that reminds me of lavender though, although it isn't actually so. The herbs are palpable but the tobacco is absent for me. This is a lot classier than I had imagined but still not something I would personally wear. Very original!

Mmm, spicy apple cider in the vial for sure. It makes me salivate. it's so tart and bubbly. The cinnamon especially stands out the most out of all the spices. On me, it's very much the same. Autumn Cider is really warm and inviting, and it's a fun scent too. I actually didn't want to say it, but as soon as I opened the vial and took a whiff, it automatically make me think of the Atomic Luau Lounge collection. I think that's why it screams vivacious and carefree to me. Before reading any other reviews, it also reminded me a bit of punch, so between that and the bubbliness, it's total Atomic Luau to me. Very similar to what I expected, although I would have liked more spice. Smells great on me but still not sure if it's something I'd like to walk around smelling like. Still a great pick-me-up.

The plethora of notes initially scared me, but this actually smells very pleasant in the vial. It's all banana flan with whipping cream. On me, it immediately starts to change. There's a hint of floral and a vague red fruitiness to it. The addition of notes at the wet stage reminds me of Blood Countess, but the two scents are still worlds apart. I actually quite like this, but still not sure if I'd like a bottle of it. The fruits and florals blend together magnificently, though.

The lavender definitely steals the show in the vial. Wet, the lavender sweetens up, yet there is a pronounced dryness, as well. Normally, I don't care for lavender. It smells too medicinal, but here, it works. It calms down once it's on my skin. The oudh and agarwood balance is nicely. I'm disappointed that I can't smell any violet musk, amber, nor fig, though. It's still a nice change for a lavender blend.

2011: So, I finally get to try Samhain. I always knew that I wasn't going to like this because patchouli, fir, and dry woods aren't really my best friends. This is so patchouli in the vial. There is sort of a faint hint of sweetness in there too. Perhaps, it's coming from the apple. Wet, the fir decides to pop in and join forces with the patchouli. The woods have made an appearance too, but to me, they seem to be on the dry side. The spices are vaguely there, and blend in with the patchouli so they're hardly noticeable. I can see why earthy blend lovers love this, but yep, it's so very not me.

The fir and patchouli in this make me cringe, but I'm not surprised. On me, it's dry and woody. The fir is as strong as ever and the patchouli makes it extra earthy. To my nose, there isn't a drop of honey in this, nor cognac. Due to the fir, this is very medicinal and almost makes me tear up. If earthy notes and/or fir is up your alley, give this a try, but if you don't like those notes and amp them, like me, it'll mostly likely be a no-go.

2011: I don't know if my nose is broken, but in the vial, this is sweet grass to me, mixed in with dry, autumn leaves. I actually quite like it wet, though. Its plant-like quality to it gets juicier and there is a sweet sugariness that wasn't there before. It's also slightly smokey, but not overwhelmingly so. This is actually getting smokier as time goes on. The sugar smells a bit burnt too. It's unique, but not for me.

2011: This smells more sugary in the vial as opposed to 2010, which in the bottle is heavy on the cream. On me, it smells the same though, and does the same weird burnt plastic morph that 2010 did when it was fresh. I can smell the cotton sheets, but they're kind of burnt too. Don't need another bottle of this.

Totally not what I was expecting in the bottle. Initially, I am hit with a medicinal fruity note, probably from the wine, but the more I sniff, the more I can detect the cake and frosting in the background. Wet, there's something about it that makes me think of ginger ale? And the smokiness is coming out a bit too. After about fifteen minutes, it becomes spicier. At this point, it reminds me so much of mulled wine. It's mind-numbingly gorgeous in the bottle! So glad I have two.
