Violets. All I can smell in the imp, wet on skin, or dry on skin is violets. I like violets, so I like this one. Not what I expected, though.

The Raven, from "Bewitching Brews" In the imp, it smealled of resin and flowers I couldn't distinguish. On me, all I could smell was the sandalwood. A warm scent, nice for after the bath, but I wasn't wowed by it.

Hymn, from "Sin and Salvation" In the Imp: resinous floral Wet on skin: resinous floral Dry on skin: resinous floral I don't know if I would use this as a personal scent; this one actually does smell a lot like the inside of my parish church, which I love but maybe not to wear. I'd love a room to smell like this, though.

Leanan Sidhe, from "Bewitching Brews" Out of the Imp: Green and soapy. Interestingly, the soapiness really does evoke Ireland for me, since I didn't have a tumble dryer there and had to hang my laundry over the heater in my room, which constantly made the whole place smell like fabric softener. Wet on skin: Still soapy, but more of the florals come through. Dry on skin: Fresh green florals. Definitely an everyday scent to be worn in more conservative company. This is something I can wear around my friend who wants me to "stop waerin' all black and smellin' like a funeral mass".

Magdalene, from "Sin and Salvation" First scent, the orchid is overwhelming... as it dries, more of the labdanum comes out, but I can barely smell the rose. I really thought I was going to like this one for everyday wear, but the feeling I get from it is funereal; overwhelming sadness, but wisdom gained from experience. The impression I get from this is a beautiful, experienced older woman, maybe a widow, who spends her days and nights in sophisticated pursuits. I'm still too girlish for this one; maybe in ten years.

Whoo...my orders have been coming MUCH quicker than that, so color me grateful. I'm in California, too, so that's probably part of it. That makes more sense. If my chemistry experience taught me anything, it's that mixing things in extremely small batches or extremely large ones equals an enormous varience in product quality. I'm positive the people at the Lab know this and plan accordingly. I mostly buy imps (like my oils superfresh with a wide variety), and was hoping that wasn't putting anyone out by doing so.

I hope this is the right place to ask this question: I was reading the website which says all orders are blended on demand, which I can understand. What about imps? SURELY the divine BPAL alchemists don't mix up just enough oil to fill an imp (and if they do, goddess bless their wee souls!). If I order a mess of imps, will I have to wait until there is enough oil amassed to fill them?
