Gingerbread Poppet 2010 in the bottle: I held this up to my parents and said "this. is. Christmas in a bottle." now my mom wants to make a gingerbread house. xDD Fresh on: the moment it touched my skin the gingerbread practically disappeared and all I could smell was cinnamon and clove. More cinnamon though, after sneezing a few times I began to worry a bit about this particular scent because I loved the way it smelled in the bottle! Dry down: I'm typing this after wearing it all day, it's smoothed out to a kind of distant, almost hot chocolate smell. The gingerbread made a return appearance and evened out the clove and cinnamon. It faded pretty fast though, which is sad making.

Samhain 2010 in the bottle: kind of a gloopy smell, like wet leaves and I'm not entirely disposed to wear it at a first wiff, lots of patchouli too. fresh on: woodsy, with clove, patchouli and the spice. No sign of the apple or pumpkin. dry down: This actually surprised me by turning into a very pretty fall scent. the pumpkin finally made an appearance, but only just and you have to take inhale deeply before you notice it and I can smell apples peeking around the edges. The woodsy smell isn't so over-powering now, nor is the spice and the clove and nutmeg makes me think of those days where it's still a little warm (oh hi, I live in Louisiana. it's always warm)

in the bottle: not really getting any apples, which is disappointing, but the cranberries is shining through and it makes me think of pixie stix, with an after scent of cider. fresh on: still that pixie stix sensation, it's kind of strong. dry down: it's making my skin burn a little... which has never happened with a bpal before... the cranberries has cooled down and I can smell some of the apple now, which smells very fake and candle like. I had really high hopes for this one, but alas, I'll probably end up swapping it. :goes to wash off the burning:
