I received such a frimp as well in a decant circle package, but it also says "Solstice Scents LE 2012" on the label so I'm guessing it's from that e-tailer rather than from BPAL.

I hear cinnamon is good for this... so maybe you want something cinnamon-heavy like Chimera or Bengal (or the LE The Hell of Great Heat)?

I think The Velvets is just about the sexiest powdery dark musk smell around! The first note listed is "smooth inky musk!"

Vetiver and I are not friends either. I think the only scent with vetiver that I like is A Golden Idol from the 2010 Yules, which is antiqued amber, English lavender, vetiver, and tea rose. It's actually kind of headshoppy on me, which is probably why I like it. Most of the reviews say it's strong on vetiver, though.

Candy Corn: yes, no? I'm debating attempting to make some. I'd love to try homemade candy corn. I like the store-bought stuff okay too, but can't eat nearly as much as I could when I was younger since it's just so sweet. I live in Japan. You are meeting up with someone on a casual lunch/early afternoon thing. This person is someone you want to impress/look good for (for whatever reason, not necessarily romantic, and not necessarily for business either). What would you look like, given the contents of your wardrobe/etc? I don't think I'm good with this kind of hypothetical. My outfits are really specific to the details of the occasion. For example, I might want to dress to cover my tattoos in some situations, or might not want to show cleavage, etc. Makeup (which I rarely wear) and accessories are also very situation-specific... I can look young and "quirky" or older and more grown-up/conservative/serious depending on specifics. Sorry! The only thing I can say for sure is that I'd be unlikely to wear heels (higher than an inch, anyway) to something described in this way. I wear something between a 14 and 18 depending on the brand, so I guess size XL would be the safest bet in terms of size. What kind of chocolate do you like? Nuts, no nuts, white,dark, etc? I said in my original questionnaire that I prefer dark or white chocolate to milk chocolate, but that doesn't mean I dislike it, just that I like it less. Last summer I think I wore Jerusalem Cherry Infused Honey, LULU7, and Knockout Drops a lot. So far I'm digging Body, Remember this summer. Definitely going to wear Banshee Beat in New Orleans next week though since I love it anyway and it's been recommended in this thread as a good summer scent!

If you're good with honey, I'd recommend Defututa for a scent with cinnamon and vanilla.

This happened to me before (last October) with a Trading Post order (well, it was only one item that was backordered, but that shouldn't make a difference), and the item that was backordered was mailed to me a week or so later, with no additional communication from the Post or from me (as in, I didn't contact them about it, and I didn't receive a second shipping notice or anything). Pallas Athene might work, it is a recent LE blend and described as Antiqued amber, cumin, saffron, frankincense, Atlas cedar, myrrh, mandarin, Ceylon cinnamon bark, and osmanthus. It's definitely a warm, orange-y incense scent on me.

Kabuki (a luxuriant, exotic blend of cherry, red musk, and star anise) might work, it's one of my favorites!

Mourning Cloak was very lemony on me (due to the verbena), and also contains almond milk and beeswax....
