In the bottle: nauseating moss On the skin: Way too strong of a moss scent for me to handle more than a minute. Reminds me way too much of over-applied aftershave and made me nauseous in the long run. Small bit of piney scent in there, and I abhor pine. Overall: It's like being trapped in a dungeon full of Irish Spring bars. And I was hoping it would be softer and more friendly.

I feel like everything's passing me by! I should have waited the three days to get the PayPal account set up instead of ordering through CCnow... oh well, it's a dead goose already. I'm hoping it doesn't take the full 45 days to get out of the lab, but I can wait. I have Spooky and The Star at home to sniff like mad with some more swapped goodies on the way.

I think I've got it all figured out now! CCNow finally took out the money and I'm not so worried about the long "shipping time" from the lab. As long as I get the smellies before the end of the month, I think I'll be fine. Maybe it's just Mercury in retrograde, but it took me a long time to realize CCNow took the money out

Autumn Scents - recommend the ones you love

I'm drooling about my pending order... I'm thinking it won't fit inside a breadbox. Thanks, empi girl, Dublin should be the one to get, then. It sounds so damn heavenly I want some tomorrow. -
Spooky tested on July 30, 2005 In the bottle: a very sweet, strong peppermint. Wet: Lots of peppermint, something more buttery coming to the front. Smells more like minty milk chocolate. Drying down: Smelled like cookies, macaroons slathered in minty milk chocolate. Later: A little Playdoh-y, but faded to more of an Andes mint type smell. On the whole, I would wear this again at Christmas and New Years while hot cookies are in the oven. ETA: Upon third-fifth time wearing the scent, I realize that it turns too milky for me to wear. It's great the first hour, then it's unbearably milky. I think I will swap this one out after all.

Autumn Scents - recommend the ones you love

I've been wondering about this for the past few days, and I'm dying to try some Samhain, Hexxennacht or some Harvest Moon. I'd also love to try the Queen and King of Aces. I'm For sure ordering: Jack (because I love pumpkin and I want it before thanksgiving to make absolute sure it'll work) Yggdrasil (sounds ashy and woody and herby, great for leaf-burning autumn) Tintagel (wine and wood and floral, Oh my! Too luscious to pass up) Ulalume (described a few times and the perfect autumn scent.) Don't know about: Dublin or Leanan Sidhe? Nosferatu? Fenris Wolf? La Bella Donna Della Mia Mente or Vinland? Wanted Loup Garou but sounded too pine and that makes me gag, so Dublin looks like a milder LG. Leanan Sidhe sounds light and woody but maybe more spring than autumn. Nosferatu sounds decadent but not specifically cold or crisp or autumnal, but still delicious sounding. Fenris Wolf might be too masculine for me to wear, but it does sound like a heavenly woodsy scent. I want a more fruity or floral scent, too. La Bella... sounds very juicy and floral but backed by a colder note. Vinland sounds fruity and crisp. Can't choose from the two. I think I'll eventually figure something out by the time my latest order arrives, but I would appreciate a little insight between La Bella and Vinland or Dublin and Leanan Sidhe. I can NOT wait for September, even if it means going back to school! -
I'm a little confused, being a newbie to the whole ordering thing. Placed my CCNow order with debit card, got the e-mail from CCNow, no charge yet in my account, but the order has shipped. I hope BPAL gets my money :-/, if not I'll send more. It's not free for anyone and I don't want to be a freeloader. Hopefully everything works soon.
