It’s not quite as fun when you lose the key. Pink cotton candy, candied rose, and vanilla sugar. I was expecting super duper sweet with these notes but it is really more rose foreward. I don't smell any cotton candy but the sugared rose paired with vanilla reminds me a lot of De Vos' Unicorn (which is one of my most favorite perfumes). There was a moment that it was a bit chemically, but that seems to have passed. Wish I got more of the sugary, cotton candyish notes from this but its not bad by any means. If you like De Vos' Unicorn then you will probably adore this.

Camille Pissarro Cream vanilla, frankincense, and velvet-brown sandalwood with coriander, petitgrain, thyme, and wintry musk. Whoa. This is such a morpher. In the bottle it smells disjointed and sweet and confusing. But then you put it on and it turns into a very chic, expensive, French perfume. I kid you not, it smells as though I walked into a French perfumery and doused myself in all its fine perfume. Despite all the dousing it stays away from being heady and old ladyish. This is the scent of a young, modern French woman. In a word: lovely.

Completely agree with the previous reviewer who compared this to zorya p's "gossamer vanilla." When I received this I liked it enough but wasnt wowed, but for some reason I kept coming back to it. Then it hit me that it reminded me of Zorya P. I also get the same sassafrass association when wet. This is definitely one of my favorite yules of all time.

Lupers came today and this one is so amazing. I was hesitant because this seemed to be a hit or miss, it seems, from reading past reviews. I needn't have worried though because this is gorgeous. You can definitely smell the coconut but its not the star. It plays hand in hand with the champaca flower which is reminiscent of jasmine but is less indolic and just lends some warmth along with the ambergris which is barely detectable. The sugar cane sweetens this up nicely. If I smell this up close it is almost bubblegummy (like juicy fruit gum) but when I catch whiffs of it from further away its just a beautiful summery slightly coconutty perfume. Really like a lot.

Love this! I was SO scared of the cinnamon overpowering this and turning it to red hots but it doesn't! In the bottle its a very syrupy vanilla cake scent with a touch of spice. On wet its not nearly as syrupy and the spice is still held in check by that vanilla. Once its completely dry I actually find myself having to search for the cinnamon and chai. Its very reminiscent of The Witches but without that burning plastic note that vanilla often does to me. Happy to have my bottle.

My husband picked this for himself and it's really beautiful. It smells like woods (evergreen) with the resins supporting them. I can't detect the rose necessarily but I suspect it's what's lending the dewy/wet quality that this has. I find that resins tend to read as dry to me and the rose keeps this from going there I think. Its very wintry and and perfect for what he was looking for.

In the bottle: very syrupy and almost like kid's cherry tylenol, but not in a bad way! On Wet: the syrupy-ness starts to mingle with the musk a bit. The cherry blossoms are still hidden. It's still very sweet at this stage. Drying: there's the cherry blossoms! They come out and add a bit of soft floral cleanness to the scent. Completely Dry: This. THIS is my favorite stage. I mentioned in the Luper thread that it smells like sitting under a cherry tree in bloom while eating strawberry sherbert. That's it precisely for me. The strawberry isn't creamy enough to be ice cream but not tart enough to be sorbet but it had just enough cream to make it distinctly sherbert. Overall I love this. It's very girly and soft and springy. I would also echo that if you like Mania or even last year's Joyful Romp, you would really like this. Really glad I have my bottle.

Mmmmm. This is delicious. It smells like the best vanilla frosting ever but with something in the background that evens it out and somehow makes it less foodie. I adore this one and will probably be my go-to holiday perfume this year. Edit: Nevermind...the honey goes completely burning plastic on me. Whyyyyyy? I wanted to love this so much...

In the bottle this reminds me of Devil's Night from last year but without the smoke. Which is good because I happen to love that one. Wet: Oh no, mens aftershave. That's all I smell! Drying: Just that clean scent of men's aftershave. Completely dry: OK this is nice now. It's now a beautiful golden amber but with a hint of patchouli. I like, but want to see what it's like on the husband before I make up my mind about this one.

I was so worried I would just get the buttered popcorn jelly bean thing that everyone else was talking about. In the imp, that's exactly what I smelled. I was disappointed so I put this aside. When I finally built up the courage to do an actual skin test, I was pleasantly surprised. The buttery-ness completely goes away and I was left with a complex vanilla scent. Very similar to Eat Me but without the fruity black currant note. When completely dry it reminded me of something very specific that I couldn't place at first then it hit me! It smells exactly (I mean nearly identical) to Bigelow's Vanilla Chai. Seriously, go put your nose in a cup of creamy vanilla chai and you have Ivory Vulva (err...well you know what I mean).

I've held off on reviewing this because I don't think I have adequate words to describe how much I love this. I've always loved dandelions and I adore the scent of spring. This marries the two so perfectly that there is really nothing left to be said. It's dandelion up front with sweet honeyed wildflowers bringing up the rear. It's so so beautiful, I think I have found my Holy Grail scent.

In the imp: All apple all the time. Wet: Still very apple-y but with an outdoorsy quality to it that wasn't apparent in the imp. Dry: The apple disappears fairly quickly on me and I am left with a soft powdery floral honey. I really like it. I never got any cardamom which is fine because I didn't want the spice to turn this into a fall scent for me. It is quite beautiful and the wear length is great. I've had it on now for about 12 hours and I can still smell it faintly on my wrists.

In the imp- all almonds all the time with maybe a hint of spice underneath. On wet- its still very almondish but the spiciness comes out a lot more and then... Dry- literally like a minute after its dry the almond disappears completely and I'm left with dry, bitter spices. Eh... 1/2 hour later- yeah still bitter and dry. It smells almost like a really cheap hotel soap that's trying to be high end. This one hated me.

This smells like...a department store. In a good way!!! It smells like new polished shoes and high-end purses with their beautiful gleaming hardware and a wafting of all the perfume hanging in the air. It is beautiful and oddly feminine. I feel expensive when I wear it. A surprise frimp favorite!

Devil's Night 2014 I was so so nervous about this one from all of the previous reviews for this year's version. I was expecting super fruity candy with maybe a hint of musk or smoke but I was very pleasantly surprised when I received my bottle because it is a gorgeous blend of smoke, musk, and a bit of booze. The booze note isn't anything identifiable but it gives this just a hint of warmth. On the skin it doesn't change much. My skin amps the musk while the hubs' skin amped the smoke. It was very pleasant and reminded me of a bunch of friends sitting around the campfire while you're curled up next to your musky smelling man while taking swigs from a flask that just warms you from the inside out. I like it better on the hubs so I think I will let him keep it but I'll probably sneak it for myself here and there. Glad I have the bottle!
