    O

Bottle: Lots of sweet honey with a touch of vanilla. No amber yet. On, wet: Very sweet vanilla, no amber yet. So sweet is almost cotton candyish. this cotton candy smell yeilds to a warm sweet vanilla. Drydown: WOW--Honeyed sweet (but not too sweet) vanilla tempered by the slightly powdery amber. The amber also gives it a hint of spice. This melds with my skin in a wonderful fashion. Overall: This was the vanilla from snake oil improved so that I'd like it. In snake oil, it was too sweet, too candleshoppy, to overpowering. Here it is sweet but nicely so, and tempered by amber, so it melds into my skin and smells like part of me. It has great staying power--still going strong after 6 hours, which is very atypical on my thirsty skin. I will consider a bottle, though vanilla isn't normally my thing. I'll definitely keep the imp. This is sexy and sweet.
  2. I am not a floral fan either (though I have found a few I like, too). But for light nonflorals, I loved Dormouse, and Yggdrasil was a light woodsy scent on me. Envy was also light on me--very limey, with a hint of mint--like a mojito--but you have to like lime and mint. Also, I'm trying Vixen (for the first time) right now, and it smells just like a less sweet, less heavy, less vanilla-y Snake Oil (makes no sense to me with the description difference, but I swear it smells like it). Might be right up your alley. I can't smell orange blossom at all, even though its a listed note. Very nice, so far.
  3. I don't know the exact notes (not listed on BPAL), but I really liked Yggdrasil for a woodsy scent. It was light, fresh and green, sorta like a deciduous forest after a rainfall. A few others seem to smell pine/cedar/juniper, so I guess it depends on skin chemistry, like all others. In my opinion, though, it was lovely, so it might be worth a try!

    The Dormouse

In the bottle: Tea and fruit. Yum. I tried this as His and Hers: HIS: Wet: Herbal teas, I think some earl grey, and some crisp clean fruit-pear? Dry: Stays true to wet, but by 2 hours, mostly faded. Overall: I really like this scent a lot, but it fades quickly. I think its one you'd have to reapply and slather. Which honestly is probably worth it since its so light, herbal, fresh and wonderful. But my hubby is not a re-apply sort of guy. HERS: Wet: Tea and peach. Actually, smells kinda like suave's kiwi shower gel--weird, but yum. Sweet and refreshing. Great tea scent and a hint of light floral in the back. God, I'm really loving this! Drying: Starting to distinguish green tea and earl grey, I think? No longer like kiwi showergel. Early drydown: Still sweet and slightly fruity. Also smelling like a luxuriously wonderful soap. Which in this context is a VERY good thing. It's so clean and fresh. Its like I opened my sealed tea canister and got hit in the face with the combos of green, herbal, fruit and black teas. I adore this scent. LOVE IT. Seems like its fading, though, so it just might be a "slather" on type scent for me, as well as for him. Overall: Wears off to very faint in about 1.5 hours. However, it's still barely detectable at 5 hours--like it's become part of my skin--sweet and light and herbal. Hmmmm…wonder if I could put it in a lotion to bump up its staying power? I REALLY love this scent. I will consider a bottle, but it’s a shame the smell doesn't stay stronger for longer.

    Pink Moon 2005

In the Bottle: Very fruity, like strawberry candy. I can smell little else at this point. On skin, wet: Sweet strawberry candy, powder, I feel like there's a bit of vanilla, too. Some tart, spicy floral--carnation? Could be phlox. I don't know what that smells like. (hubby says blueberry muffins). So far, mmmmm…. Drying: Strawberry lessens, much more spicy floral--carnation. Also a hint of light grassy smoke (very faint)--not what I expected. This smokey smell is very short-lived, which is a good thing. Later Drydown (2 hr): Pink. Strawberries and the powdered sugar from bubblegum candies. There are florals, blending very well with the fruit and sugar. Its sweet and pretty, but not sickeningly syrupy or candylike. Good staying power on me. Overall: Though its not the same, it gives me the same feeling as AC joy Mojo--like a ACJM without the spice/anise. And its got good staying power (still pretty strong after 4 hours, which is atypical for my skin. ETA: This was one of the first bottles I purchased, almost 2 years ago now...whenever I wear it I'm taken back to the nostalgia of my bpal newbie days. I adore this scent, even though the fruity floral girly blends generally aren't what I gravitate towards. Also, this is more complex and nicer on me than Pink Phoenix.

    Moscow

Bottle: Dry pine needles, orange (on the verge of overripe), rose and a hint of jasmine. Wet, skin: Mostly rose/jasmine with hint of citrus (or bergamot). Very powerful floral--my skin always intensifies them. What's worse is my skin turns jasmine to cat pee--I was hoping this one would be different. But--Hint of cat pee--le sigh. It's hard to tell what else is under the rose/catpee, but I think there is a hint of vanilla? And a spicier floral than rose--carnation, perhaps? Still, it's mostly just floral-old lady-catpee. Drying: Way to floral, no more citrus left. The good news is that the jasmine LOST! There is NO MORE CAT-PEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHeee! This is a first for me when it comes to jasmine blends. After about an hour it’s a light rosy scented floral powder, but I am beginning to smell a sweeter flower--the lilies, I think. And it really does feel like its got a little vanilla, even though that's not listed as a note. It's actually very pretty, and it lightened up a lot. It's slightly sweet with a nice balance of lily and rose, and that hint of "vanilla". Very pretty. It fades rather quickly, but is still very faintly detectable at 6 hours if I stick my nose right next to it. Overall: Very lovely scent. Surprising after the jasmine scare. I quite liked it, though I was hoping to smell the tangerine (my skin apparently killed it). But I'm not a big floral girl, so I'm going to pass this on to someone who is.

    Eve

In the bottle: Mostly rose, a bit of sweet honey. On skin, Wet: Soapy rose , dry. Tinge of something else, but the rose is so overpowering. On skin, dry: ROSE! This is just all floral soap. Rose and soap. Soap and rose. There is a theme, yes? Overall: This scent is not for me. Way too floral. I had hoped for more honey, but my skin loves to amp up florals to ridiculous-ness. In its defense, its a very pretty rose. I think this would be great for the floral lovers. Swap!

    Yggdrasil

Bottle: very clean. Light, slightly woodsy--like a young forest after a fresh rain. Same feel as cool water, actually. Wet: clean, aquatic, pale woodsy, I smell a hint of cinnamon spice (that bark kinda smell), and slight tart citrus. A light floral, and just a hint of sweetness. Still reminds me of cool water in feel, though it's not the same (I tested). Dry, About 30 min later: Very light woodsy light floral. The cinnamon and citrus scents are apparently only apparent during wet phase. It's just light, clean and fresh, and still reminiscent of cool water. Overall: Stays true from the 30 min on, but wears off in 2-3 hours. Reminds me very much of a slightly woody cool water. Very nice, and I might consider getting it in the future, especially for spring/summer, since its very light. This would be a great for slathering on after a shower. I wish it had better staying power. I tried this on hubby too, since it was so wonderfully clean and gender neutral. It was equally wonderful and light on him, but also lacked staying power. I will still consider this for warm months, though. Lovely blend. 3 months later: I finally got my hands on a bottle of this! Now, with more bpal experience, I have to say that something in this reminds me of the black herb notes in Gomorrah. I own both. Coincidence? I think not....

    Mi-Go Brain Canister

In the bottle: Its very syrupy fruity. Mostly pineapple, I think. On a deeper inhale, there is a hint of floral and something "tangy", which I'm not sure of--kiwi? On skin, wet: O my skin, the florals from the imp are much stronger, and the fruits take a pleasing back seat. Until…attack of the jasmine! It has turned to catpee on me once again--ever so slightly, but I know its there. Curse my freakish skin chemistry! For about 15 min, its in cat pee stage. But it luckily tapers down to almost nil. Dry: Early on its is a yummy fruity light floral, very sweet. I think this is the peony--very pretty, so I should try some more peony scents. I'm even getting a hint of the musk, which tempered everything very well. Very pretty. Towards the end, I smell some zingy ginger, and the scent still is a nice sweet/tart fruity floral with a hint of musk. Its very complex and lovely. Overall: I like the final scent. I wish it had more staying power and that it didn’t' do the cat pee thing on me in the beginning. Grrrr…jasmine. The final stage reminds me a bit of Tzadikim Nistarim, which didn't do the catpee on me, so I think I'll keep that one and swap the mi-go. I know that it will find a good home!

    Megaera

Bottle: What I smell first is a powdery flower, and then WHOA! Very grapefruity! Me: Wet: Juicy tart grapefruit, combined with amber (which is powdery on me). This is actually a really nice balance--sweet but not syrupy, with that amber edge. Drying: Smells of candy as it dries, sort of like lemon starbursts. I also smells a hint of a sweeter fruit--reminds me of berry, but it's probably the plum. During the drydown, its has a tart plum balanced with flower/powder/amber. Dry: THrough the next 3 hours, the scent bounces around from too plummy, perfect plum:amber balance, and too powdery amber/floral. This scent is toying with me. At the last, it settled on a nice floral with a tart berry--very balanced (at last). Took a long time for it to make up its mind… Him: On skin, wet: Flowery (rose, I think?) with only a hint of citrus. There is something biting in the background, but I don't know what. Drying: There is more citrus than before, but it's still quite floral and has almost musky powder notes. Very nice so far, but a touch feminine. Later: dry amber/powdery scent, slight bitter edge of grapefruit. Its girly. Goes powdery--is that the amber? Anyway, I like it, just not on a man. Overall: On me, it wouldn't make up its mind: plum-amber-plum-amber. Anyway, I really do like the last stage, but I can't handle the schizophrenia. And the floral/amber notes are a bit "old" feeling for me. Don't know how else to describe that. On him, it smelled like I'd want it to smell on me, but it was too girly for him. This is a swap--for someone else to love.

    Hunger

Bottle: Very earthy, musty orange. On skin, Wet: green pine/grass, tinge of something unpleasant/ammonia-y, orange, a bit powdery. Musky floral, no vanilla yet. On skin, dry: As it tries, more vanilla comes out, but not as much as I'd like. A strong note is taking over, and I think it’s the narcissus. Whatever it is, its starting to smell like cat pee. GAH! What is wrong with me???? This is the second scent to smell like cat pee on me today! Later: I stuck out cat pee phase. I can smell more vanilla now, but the narcissus (or whatever it is) is still hanging around invoking feral cat pee. It's also very drying in my throat when I smell it. Oho, cat pee is fading…now it's like a powdery floral with a not-too-sweet vanilla. There even seems to be a hint of spice. Its much better now, but still very dry and I an still smell the CP ever so slightly. Overall: this ends on a powdery vanilla with a biting edge which actually isn't cat pee anymore, but reminds me of it enough that I know this blend isn't for me. ANd no orange after it dried. This one didn't even have jasmine listed, which is what I thought my skin's cat pee culprit was. One cat pee note is enough, and now I'm worried I have two. ICK.

    Rapture

In the Bottle: I smell jasmine, woods and orange. Hubby says it smells like stained wood tables and oranges. Interesting. Him: Wet: Retains orange scent, gets powdery and has what he describes as "an unpleasant undertingle." What I smell is jasmine and rose with some orange and a hint of spice. I think the "unpleasant" thing to him is jasmine. For some reason, I have problems with Beth's jasmine notes turning into cat pee on my skin, and I suspect hubby has the same problem. Dry: It’s dry rose (dry like powder) with a bit of jasmine, and a woody note (is this myrrh?) In 40 mins, its almost faded on him, which is just as well, cuz it wasn't working well on him. Girly, powdery and strange jasmine interactions…. Me: Wet: Very strong jasmine and little else. Again, I'm having problems with the jasmine note reminding me of cat pee (similar to what happened to me in phantasm). Hubby says its "Old Cat Lady" smell. Like an old woman wearing perfume that hangs around too many spraying male cats. Ugh. Really, that makes it sound worse than it is, but he's got a point. Dry: Luckily, the jasmine tones down rather quickly, and the rose takes over, but gets dry and powdery, so the cat is mostly gone, but I still smell older than I'd like. It pretty much stays in this rose powder phase for the duration, which is only about 2 hours. Overall: Didn't work on either of us. I think I might start avoiding jasmine, despite having liked it in the past--I wore it often. My skin really messes it up now. How upsetting!

    Aunt Caroline's Joy Mojo

In the Bottle: Orange, bubblegum and licorice. Very interesting. On skin, wet: Grapefruits and gingerbread. Drool. Drying: Sweeter fruit than grapefruit, now, and the spicy bite of gingerbread has backed off a little. Hmmmmm….You know what this smells like? Pfefferneuse cookies!!!!!! The german cookies made with black pepper, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, anise, vanilla and citrus! And covered in powdered sugar. This is Christmas, and Christmas certainly =joy. This stays Christmas cookie on me for the duration, and occasionally wafts marshmallows, bubblegum, even a bit of a floral at times! What a crazy adventure. Very entertaining scent! Overall: This is very fun, and certainly invokes joy. Too sweet/foody for me normally, but I could see myself throwing this on when I need to go Christmas shopping. I think I'll keep the imp around and test its layering possibilities. This almost reminded me of a more candyish, but quixotically less syrupy snake oil. Yum. edited: I got another imp of this, and its still got a hint of pfefferneusse/grapefruit to my nose, but its REALLY different. Much more pink fruit/bubblegum/cotton candy than my last imp. Its still super happy and yum.

    Belle Époque

"The Pretty Era", France’s Golden Time: an age of beauty, innovation and peace in France that lasted from the 19th Century through the first World War and gave birth to the cabaret, the cancan, and the cinema as well as the Impressionist and Art Nouveau movements. Sweet opium, Lily of the Valley, vanilla, mandarin and red sandalwood. In the Bottle: Very light, sweet floral with hint of tangy/tartness. Like a honeyed floral with a tart edge. On the skin, Wet: sandalwood and lily, but still tart. I think it’s the lily of the valley that I smell most. Very pretty, but I'm not a big floral girl. Drying: Very sweet (not foody sweet, but floral sweet) flowers.. When it's dry, it is mostly sweet lilies with some sandalwood in the distance to ground it. In about an hour, the sandalwood comes out a little more, which balances the sweet lilies better. After 3-5 hours it smells of sweet lilies and bergamot to me, but there isn't bergamot listed, so that's weird. Even later, though faint, I smell mostly sandalwood (mental note to try some more sandalwood based oils). Overall: I like this, but I don't love it--not as unique as I'd hoped. It was mostly lilies on me (though thankfully didn't go powdery or soapy), and the sandalwood didn't get prominent til late in the game. My skin ate up the vanilla and mandarin, so they didn’t' join the party. It was pleasant and dynamic--a very nice blend, but just not me.

    Empyreal Mist

In the bottle: A crisp, clean, light floral with some fruity sweetness (maybe a citrus?) On skin, wet: Powdery floral with bitter citrus edge. This is kinda herbal, sort of along the lines of tea. It smells clean and a little soapy. I'd describe it as green. Is there some light rose in here? On skin, dry: As it dries, it takes on a berry scent. Early on, the fruit is slightly detectable, but its mostly like a powdery soapy floral (uhoh), with the berry as an (albeit, surprising) afterthought. IN about an hour, the soapiness fades and it makes me think of tart dew covered berries sitting next to a flowering briar patch. Amazing transformation, that. In 2ish hours, the scent changes again. Unfortunately, I think the soapiness is coming back a bit. It feels aquatic and clean, though. Familiar---oooh, very similar to a BBW spray I have called lemongrass sage! It's wet and grassy, no more berry, but still somehow makes me think of fruits. After 4 hours is very faint, but is green and herbal. Its still fruity, but more tart--almost citrusy (maybe that's why I'm thinking lemongrass). It also reminds me of the herbs in Envy (minus the mint). Overall: this was certainly a dynamic one for me. Nice, pretty, light, but with a tendency to go through soap phases on me. I did like this one, but for the herbals, I liked the invigorating quality of Envy better, and as far as sweet kinda fruity florals go, I liked Tzadikim Nistarim better. This was very pretty, but will be joining my swap pile for someone else to love.
  16. I'm pretty new to BPAL. I've tested about 15 imps so far, and I'm very impressed with almost all of them. But so far one really sticks out (the first one I tried, actually): I ADORE Intrigue. It doesn't smell super chocolatey on me, but like a hint of dusty cocoa in an exotic tropical and cedar forest. I really really really like it. Sultry, dark, but sweet and alluring. I want to bathe in it. Did I mention that I love Intrigue? I layered some intrigue with blood kiss and loved that too.... Anyway, I was wondering what other scents more experienced BPALers might recommend for a girl who is enamoured with Intrigue? Or what other layering combos you think might work? I'm gearing up for a big bottle order (to coincide with the new lunacy release) and would love to sneak in a few more things to play with!

    Tzadikim Nistarim

I confess to not knowing what any of the single notes in this smell like. I normally wouldn't have felt the need to try this from the description. But I was drawn to this imp after reading the reviews of pineapple-y sweet herbal wonderful-ness. I mean, how could I resist? In the Bottle: Wow, this is very fruity sweet, though I don't think any of the single notes are fruit. Are olives fruity before we pickle them? I've only ever smelled the olives we eat after salt and canning and whatnot…. Regardless, this is very interesting. Its almost got a citrus edge on the fruit. As I expected, I can't pick out any of the specific notes, cuz I don't know what they smell like. On skin, wet: Immediately very fruity, almost bubblegum. But not worries, the gum is very short-lived, and a grounding note (floral?) appears to give balance to the sweet fruit. It's still quite sweet, but it's very pretty so far! On skin, dry: The floral/not-quite-powdery scent has blended wonderfully with the sweet fruit, giving a sweet (no syrupy, but almost creamy) but wonderfully grounded result. I really wish that I could identify what the fruit is--I can't--but I understand why previous reviewers have listed all sorts of tropical fruits--it's got that more exotic feel to it. If this is galangal, I want more scents with that note! If its olive, then I want those! Later dry: This is still sweet, but now it feels less fruity, and some resin woodsy notes are coming out (2ish hours). I can only assume this is the frankincense. Frankincense, nice to meet you….the pleasure is all MINE! (Mental note to try more frankincense blends). This also develops a slightly spicy feel late in the day that is lovely with the resin and fruit. Overall: Sweet, fruity, lightly floral (good, cuz i'm not floral lover by any means), with grounding resin and spice. WOW! Something for everyone. Especially ME! This is light and innocent, but the resin and spice keeps it "real." I can see this being a summer scent for me. I'm considering a big bottle, but even if i don't get one, i'm keeping this imp. This scent just managed to push my "the unicorn" imp over to the swap pile. As far as sweet innocent very lightly floral scents go, TN just donkey kicked the unicorn's arse. ETA: this fades to very faint notes after 5-6ish hours. But its worth reapplying. In fact, I just did so. Wow. Off to gleefully wallow in my scent cloud! ETA (again): Oooh, i was wrong. It lasts much longer than 5-6 hours. Its been on now for 9-10, and I can still smell a gentle sweetness. Mmmmmmm....

    Snake Oil

Bottle: Initially I think of powdered sugar. The vanilla is creamy and rich. Then the spices hit me. They aren't what I normally think of as spices, but they are musky and dark and earthy. At the very end, almost a lemony or bergamot tea tinge. Very pretty and interesting, I think I can see why this is a best seller. On: Wet: Sweet, sweet vanilla syrup. There is a hint of the spiciness, but much weaker than in the bottle. This is mostly sweet vanilla on me. Dry: This is like sugar that's had a vanilla bean in it. Stays vanilla sugar for a long time. After 6-7 hours, the vanilla is mellowing a bit. I went to sleep in this, and when I woke up it had mellowed into a spicy musk with only a hint of the vanilla sugar (this was about 12 hours I'd say). I like this last bit the best, actually. This certainly had great staying power on me, but i think the vanilla was too heavy/sweet, and I was hoping my skin would amp the spice rather than the vanilla. Overall: Very pretty, but I think its too vanilla-sweet on my skin. Kinda like a nice vanilla candle--my husband says cake. I think I will try Snake Charmer, since I've read it’s a lot like snake oil with less sugar, more amber. That sounds like the modification this needs to work on my skin…I'm gonna hold onto this imp til I get the snake charmer so I can compare. Even though I don’t' think this is for me, it was a wonderful blend, and the vanilla was gorgeous. Glad I tried it. ETA: tried this on hubby just to see: wet: very weird, but our first impression was a fluroide treatment at the dentist. Very sharp and minty with that fluoride smell just overpowering. As it dried, that strangeness left, and he was left with teh sweeter vanilla tones and spices. More spices/musk than there was when I tried it. Further into the drydown, it develops and interesting musty/smokey note, and gets very dry (dries the back of my throat like a powder). Overall, I wish it had smelled on me like it does on him. But its just not for him. Too overpowering, and still too sweet, despite the nice spice and smoke. Tried this on me, again-- now I know what is was I wasn't liking--playdoh! playdoh and spiced vanilla candle. Its not bad, but its not what I wanna smell like.

    The Unicorn

Bottle: Surprisingly sweet, almost fruity. Very pretty and lighthearted sweet scent. The sweetness surprised me, as I was expecting more herbal/grassy notes. I like surprises. On, wet: Sweet and light, takes on an almost citrus note for a very small time. Its slightly powdery, but smells sweet and clean. It's also a hint bubblegummy--a lot going on in this one. Dry: Very sweet and green, the citrus is gone. Its like a sweet flower (similar to honeysuckle, but not)--imagine a flower dripping with sweet syrupy dew. It's still a hint bubblegum-fruity to my nose. Overall: This doesn't last very long on my skin, but while there it's syrupy, green and light--surprising. Somewhere towards the end of this experience, I decided this reminded me of the very sweet cleaner smell you'll sometimes catch wind of in places like fancy restaurants (wish I could be more specific). This scent was confusingly complex--green, syrup, floral, citrus, bubblegum, fruit--amazing considering the relatively simple description! I think I will come back to smell this again later. It captures me in some ways and not in others, and I just can't decide whether to keep it or not.

    Jester

Bottle: Very sweet and fruity. Berryish bubblegum? Wet: Watermelon jolly rancher. Smells like artificial fruit candy--maybe not watermelon, perhaps grape/berry of some sort. Dry: Berry car airfreshners. Overall: Sweet, and not unpleasant. But it went artificial and is way too much berry for me. I was hoping to have the neroli come out, but I never really smelled it. Sweet and fun, but off to swaps nonetheless.

    Wrath

Bottle: Sweet and cinnamon like Big Red gum, or Close-Up toothpaste? I don't think so, but hubby says that it reminds him of cherry cough syrup. On skin, Wet: Me: Yup, big red gum, strange, but it seems a hint minty. Starts to take on a tinge of clove as it dries. I adore cloves. Him: Still very big red, but more dragon's blood notes. Oh him it does not go to clove at all. On skin, Dry: Me: Early the dragons blood comes out and it gets to be a bit less like big red-- this is good. Still sticky sweet, like candy, but not in a bad way. The dragon's blood tempers the spicy sweetness wonderfully. Him: Weird, but it almost makes us think of marigold. It's still spicy big red, though, and the dragon's blood actually fades out on his skin. This turns into red hots in the end. Wonderfully intriguing blend. Spicy and fun, and it smells great. I'm very glad I tried it, but I just don't think it’s a "me" scent. To the swaps.

    Bliss

In bottle and on skin-- pure, rich CHOCOLATE. I wish I were edible. Technically, I am edible, but that is called cannibalism and is generally frowned upon. Seriously, though. This was a perfect chocolate scent. It made me go all gooey-nostalgic. Every summer my siblings and I looked forward to my mom taking us to Hershey Park. Every single time we would go to the parking lot pavilion for a picnic lunch, followed immediately by the chocolate factory tour to get our free bar of chocolate for dessert (in the good ole days when they gave a full sized bar instead of the little samples sizes!). This is some of the best memories from my childhood trapped in a bottle! Recommendation: I put Bliss on after a bath in lush's ma bar followed by a rubdown with the lush honeymooners massage bar. I smell like a sweet edible honey covered chocolate. Bliss really is deserving of the name. Mmmmmmmmmm……I'm off to sniff me some more. I would love to mix this oil with shampoo, lotions, bath gels, and anything else i can get my grubby little hands on!

    Phantasm

This blend attracted me because it sounded so refreshingly herbal in the description. I mean, I have been busting to try some of the tea scents, I think i really like jasmine, and have an interest in herb gardening. This seemed right up my alley. But in the bottle, all I could think was "cat piss." God, I feel like a horrible dirty traitor for saying that about any of Beth's blends. But this hit me completely the wrong way. I braved it out and tried it, and while the original ick-factor of it did fade (but only to a slightly diluted cat piss), the whole experience was tainted by my first impression. While I generally try to disagree with the cliché (usually successfully), first impressions really can matter. I don't know if I'm just having nose issues today or what. But I really can't bring myself to try this. Ever. Again. This is SO not for me. *edited for typos and emphasis

    Akuma

Bottle: Pink and fruity with a citrus/earthy edge. Sweet and interesting, can't wait to try it. Wet: Sweet and fruity, very berry. Something biting in the background, don't know what--orange, maybe? Dry: The biting tone dies out as it dries. Now its berryish bubblegum. Fake berryish. Hubby insists he can get a hint of orange. I swear its all "eau de Raspberry Tart", Strawberry Shortcake's plastic childhood friend. For the next few hours its just berry berry berry 'til it fades. Overall: Damn my skin and its refusal to accept the orange and neroli notes. This is too sweet, childish and berry on me. Shame. To the swap pile.
