This scent freaks me out, it smells really old. It smells like the air in old forgotten rooms full of ancient clothes. (Something about this makes me think of textile somehow.) But dry old rooms not dank ones. I get the carrot seed way underneath a pile of dust and old-ness. I love carrot seed but I don't know if I can get used to the dry old textile feel of All Souls' Night 1917. Great job on this weenie Beth!

O-kay this is the 'soap' part I got from Doozers. My brain automatically expects to smell the radishes from Doozers too which doesn't help really. So heady rose soap when it's wet. It does lose some of the headiness when it dries down and becomes slightly grandmotherly. My brain still links this to Doozers which I didn't like so I'll pass on this one too.

I second High John the Conqueror it's soft and comforting. Also I immediately thought of: Madame Tracy, Bearded Lady and Norman's Grandma.

I really like the mango in The Dodo, Luna Azul has a nice mango as well.

Thanks Midnight Aeval and bookandbroom!

So I have this decant and the label says New England v4 but I can't find any reviews or anything on it. Does anyone have more information about this scent?

The Glass Eater starts out as grass with a hint of dirt and a light cologne scent. It doesn't morph a lot but it goes a bit powdery when it dries down. The cologne bit reminds me of The Torture Queen's white amber. All of these notes sound ..well not good together but the result is very nice. It's a unisex scent to me.

Does anyone have some pics of the NYCC bottles? I'm really curious if there are ladies on the labels. (or badgers)

This is an extremely soothing scent. On my skin wet: It's well blended, the lilac is there but at the same time some rose they balance each other out. Dry on my skin: It has gone quite sharp and soapy. Too bad because I really like the wet stage, maybe it will mellow out when it ages?

Tart cherries and almonds. Cherry scents never last long on my skin. When it dries down the cherry disappears and it ends up a like a light version of Bub.

Midway, you're back! I get spun sugar and fluffy popcorn. There is a hint of cucumber when it's wet I think it's the peanut note masquerading. It really smells rather like cucumber instead of peanut. It has better throw than Midway has on my skin. Mouse Circus dries down to cotton candy and popcorn the cucumber/peanut is still somewhere in the background but not very apparent. This is one of those scents that does well on warm area's of my skin like my wrists and the hollow at the base of the throat.

Wet on my skin: Apples, cognac and pomegranate, very autumnal. There is something burnt about this scent like the pomegranate is slightly scorched I fear this will go like the dreaded pumpkin note on my skin. Dry on my skin: It's turned into a weird blend of apple and bitter pomegranate with scorched cognac. (the cognac note reminds me of Noisome Clockwork Locomotive) I'm not getting any leather. Definitely not a scent for me.

This one surprised me the most of the Pandora's. It's a nice nectarine and green musk scent, thankfully the honey isn't very apparent in this. The only downside is that the moss amps when it dries down and the whole thing goes a bit sour.
-
Really I know that honey is a terrible note for my skin but I had hoped for just a bit of orange blossom. This is all sour honey and pink pepper, ends up as a very flat scent. My least favorite of the Pandora's.

I get air, something like cotton candy and lots of woodsmoke. It indeed smells like a burnt down wooden carousel but it still has a sort of memory of the rush of wind in your hair and cotton candy sticking to the seats. The woodsmoke dies down a bit when the scent dries. A very apt and strangely uplifting scent.

My favorite vetiver blend so far is Death Adder. I'm very curious to see how the SN will turn out. I have slathered on some Hurricane but the 'rain' part of it isn't working for me.

On my skin wet: Lots of red musk and some bubblegum from the daemonorops. Sweet and headache inducing. On my skin dry: The red musk is doing its usual cologne impression. The leather is coming through and a hint of snow. This feels disjointed to me, the snow and other notes aren't blending but fighting. It's sweet but at the same time rather masculine.

Eight-Petaled Lotus smells like a freshly washed cashmere sweater. Clean, soft, cuddly and somehow fluffy.

Piiine, sweet pine with some of that ganja ectoplasm that I also get in Hippie Ghost. This is a morpher on my skin. After applying the pine tones down very quickly revealing a creamy almost lemony scent which must be the milk-splashed denim. The pine is back when it's drying down but as a natural woodsy scent, it goes well with the marijuana ectoplasm. There is a brightness to this scent that is also in Bub, like a ray of sunlight. It's soft and cottony. It's a bit of a weird scent but I like the softness of this combined with the ectoplasm note. The cotton/lemon/cream combo reminds me of Tarot: The Star.

Wet on my skin: This is very faint, it smells almost exactly like a bland version of Sri Lanka to me. Dry on my skin: I get dust and powdery woods and a hint of leather which is a bit odd because leather usually likes to amp on my skin. It's not unpleasant but it doesn't wow me either. I get very little throw.

Just chiming in here. I that cuddly cephalopod scent!

Ninon is pretty damn perfect, Lilith Victoria is also a close contender snake oil plus lavender= . Dream is actually close to Luna Azul without the foodiness of the mango.

I this scent! Wet on my skin: It starts out a bit pungent; ganja, weed, marijuana whatever you might call it. -Pass that blunt on- It's light though, a hint of blouse is coming through (ha!). When it's drying down the patchouli steps up and the smoke amps. Dry on my skin: It's a mixture of ethereal patchouli and soapy blouse. This isn't the heavy sweet patch that I get from most patchouli-Bpals. It's nice and light but still has quite some throw on my skin. Very unique.

Starts out as bubblegum! Fruity bubblegum. I really dislike smelling like honey and that's what is coming through on dry-down together with a weird herbal eucalyptus scent. Dry the eucalyptus scent has almost disappeared and it's back to honey and bubblegum. Not a scent for me.

I hope this is the right place for this question. This morning I noticed that the oil in my bottle of Snake Charmer resurrected seems to have separated into a clear top layer and a dark bottom layer. When I roll it it mixes but separates again after a while. Could it be a diluted oil?
