Stardust was a good party/flirty scent, not very popular, and probably relatively easy to get.

Smells a little like pumpkin bread and has a slight Play-Doh undertone. This is a less complex pumpkin blend than found in the Pumpkin Patch, and reminds me most of PP5.

Almost all sweet almond on me with a little rose developing late. A subtle warm scent without much throw. Seraglio is very pleasant, but not particularly distinguished or unique.

A soft, fresh, clean altogether delightful scent. Reminds me of the good things said about the unicorn in the Harry Potter books.

So peaceful: One to wear to relax and unwind.

Yum. Cinnamon apples - a comfort scent. The pumpkin adds a deep, wet, undertone to this - like hot gooey cinnamon buns. Another good one to wear when you're pulled over for speeding .

It smells wonderful out of the imp, but disappears on my skin almost immediately. The concept of "short dramatic sketch" is no joke, could have used a one-act play!

Wet, it smells like Perfume!! Duh.

Perfume perfume, not generic BPAL floral perfume (maybe jthe asmine overload thang?).

Delight is well behaved, starts out tropical floral and dries to rosey floral. Not weird, but not OMG unique and wonderful, either.

Not much more to add, but perhaps the herbs include chamomile along with lemon herbs.

The amber is a great idea for the blend: it gives me an impression of a very hot summer day with crushed chamomile and a little baby powder on the skin. Sounds like a winner to me.

Another scent you wouldn't expect from the description.

This is a light spring fragrance with only a little bitter smokiness from the opium poppy and hardly any harsh undertone from the vetiver. The other notes contribute to the blend just enough to avoid candle/body lotion boredom.

I'll have to remember to edit this post when I get inspired to execute some excessive, depraved sins.

Masquerade has signs that it is a blend that rewards patience, but an hour is about all I want to alot to having a scent settle down.

Masquerade morphs back and forth between a bitter undertone that confuses me: is it bone dry dust? or is it water? There is something sweetish and peppery and something that reminds me of squashed bug.

On the good side, when not sniffing my wrist trying to figure out "what the hell's going on here?" I catch a really delightful aroma.

So, if a masquerade is something that hides what it really is and spreads confusion, this blend is really aptly named.

Shadow Witch Orchid is about as sweet, heavy, and dark a perfume as I'll wear. It has a bit of green to it to keep things from becoming cloying. It has a good amount of throw, last most of the day, and works for "feminine mysterious" moods.

This is one of my top ten staples that I wear frequently.

However...

When I first got this, it reminded me of Lysol and it took some getting used to. Why? Because it delivers the goods and is my equivalent of cast-iron lingerie and helps me out when I need it.

After getting my mind in the right place about this blend, it now seems bright and energizing and simultaneously clean eucalyptis and dirty gamey. I now enjoy wearing it and am always aware of it since Queen has really powerful throw.

It is really unique as a perfume and am glad that she likes me.

Sleepy Moon starts out with poppy and a rush of chamomile (a tart smell here, with apple tones on the plant but not here). The poppy is bitter and smoky.

It dries down to poppy, bamboo, and sandalwood with a little freshness from the chamomile. I didn't get any lavender, but no complaints.

This is a fine herbal springtime scent and a welcome addition to the herd.

Sometimes reviews mention that blend hates someone's skin, but I'm wondering if a few blends don't like to thumb their noses at my nose.

I get nothing but BPAL Generic Floral and would have a hard time distinguishing whether I'm wearing Queen Mab, Shadow Witch Orchid, or Moscow. The descriptions are very different, but they all seem similar on me.

I'm guessing that this is the conquering horde of jasmine pillaging the citrus grove while stompling the carnations and lilies of the valley while generally pissing on the roses and other ingredients.

For the record, Moscow is softer, dustier, and less green than Shadow Witch and less super-sweet fermented than Queen M (on me). Hope others have better luck.

Blood Moon is woody and musky but the crushed grains were apparently press-ganged into a beer vat and didn't make it into my little blue bottle. The throw is very potent, but the scent goes shaving-soapy on me.

It brings up an image of Mr. Farmer barbering an animal before "harvesting" it.

After about four hours, I realize why the Mad Barber is hanging out in my refrigerator as opposed to have being swapped off to a more loving home. All the shaving soap has been washed off leaving a rich, somewhat tart, spicy scent reminiscent of honey (but bring your own grain). Blood Moon is a really late bloomer but worth it in the end.

Kingsport is up there with Undine for me as a favorite aquatic. This is the most sea-evocative blend I've tried. All the elements work together - no ozone eruptions or aftershave action or Sneaky Sweetarts. I'll be wearing this a lot on sticky summer days.

I was expecting a spring scent with Prague (Iron Curtain connotations!) and was not disappointed. Prague is light and sweet. I would have liked a little more "crisp" and "snowy" though. This is an altogether fine blend, but doesn't rock my world.

For the first half hour Sea of Glass is 100% ozone (vaguely smoky fireworks smell to my nose). A tny bit of citrus fades in and out.

This blend has about zero throw on me. I can only detect it if I actually sniff my elbow.

Verdict: A nice, clean scent good for a hot day but problematic. Maybe one to sneak into a "scent free" office?

I find this one very similar to Kumiho, but much more puckery. Holiday Moon has more of a "crushed green plant" feel to it with tea in the background, if at all.

However, I'm still wearing it nearly a year later. I like the puckery green when there's not enough green outside.

Wet: Herbal, grassy, and woody with sweet undertones. Dries down to sweet honey-fig syrup. Another good blend from the update!

Lucky, lucky me. I get sweet creamy mushroom. Mushroom rice pudding comes to mind. This one lasts about 3 hours and is a potential big bottle.

Ramble on... It's dirty sweet and it's my Imp. (T Rex)

I had high hopes for this one since directly out of the bottle it smelled like vomit. Arachne does the same thing, but turns into one of my top ten favorites. Yegad, that's counterintuitive.

My hopes are not dashed!! This is soft, not too sweet, yeah-kinda-melony, and no bad jasmine experiences. It's a hot, sticky day and this is wonderfully refreshing.

Fresh out of the bottle: Extreme mouth puckering Cherry Lollipop.

After about 15 minutes, Cherry Aftershave -hmm maybe the thing to wear for a Brazilian?

After about 30 minutes:Soap.

This one does not like me at all.

No dirt on me (at least from Destroying Angel). I get dry, white blend with great throw and decent staying power. This one is so nice, I just can't stop snuffling the inside of my elbow.

Arrgh. Truffle Pig instead of cleavage gerbils!

BPALGeneric Floral at first: Mellows nicely to smoky, spicy bitter perfume. Opium poppy has good staying power and is interestingly complex. My favorite so far of the new garden update.
