This smells almost *exactly* like Tintagel on me!

Wow! I *hated* the smell of this in the imp. It was too boozy and strong for me. But then I put it on.. It immediately lightens and just sparkles. *love*

Hee. White Rabbit, after I put it on, immediately turned to sharp coconut on me! Woah. Did this happen to anyone else? After a while, it softened to peppery linen, but there's still coconut in the background. I'm intrigued and I quite like it, but my nose is confused!

I love how this sounded from the description and bought an imp because I covet *all* the Mad Tea Party oils. In the imp, this smells amazing. Roses...with a bite. Wet: Ooh. Roses are there...but there's a sour, acrid smell now. Dry down: Eew. No more roses. Now it's cat pee. Blah. Stupid chemistry. Later: MORE CAT PEE. Urg. I had to wash this off

Just received this from Magdalene In the bottle it's roses. ROSES. Reminds me of the Body Shop Tea Rose oil my mom used to wear. Wet, on me: Still roses, but there's spice now. My skin likes to amp spice. I wonder if that's the carnation (?) Drydown: Rose is *very* faint now, and the spice is holding strong. Very pretty

Silk Road A panoply of cultural treasures, spanning the herbs, flowers, oils and balms of the Romans, the Byzantines, the Mediterranean, the Levant, Northern China, Eastern Europe, Iran, the Bulgar-Kypchak, Mesopotamia, the Crimean Peninsula, Anatolia, Antioch, and North Africa. In the bottle: Cinnamon! And more cinnamon. With a under note of….cinnamon! This was some serious spice. Wet on me: The spice kicks up, but there's a bit of musk now to tame it. It's not as strongly cinnamon as it is in the bottle. Drydown: The spice decreases and lapses into something very pretty and sexy. I feel like a hippy with a bite! A few hours later: Silk Road faded fast on me, unfortunately. But it's so pretty that I have to forgive it for it's awful staying power. Overall rating: I love this one. Despite the scary cinnamon at first, this one 'ages' beautifully. I just wish it lasted longer

A gentle white scent, breezes laced with the scent of springtime blooms and citrus. Lemon, lemon verbena, neroli, white musk, white florals, white sandalwood, China musk, bergamot and a drop of vanilla. In the bottle: Ooh. Lemons and fabric softener! And a hint of cream and softness. Wet: WOAH. SPICE! My skin just exploded this oil and kicked it up 743984 notches. The lemon is still there, but now there's cinammon and the cream has disappeared. Dry down: Still very amplified. I only put a drop or two on each wrist and it's throwing like mad. My boyfriend could smell it across the apartment. Full of spice now. I think the soft creamy smell from the beginning is scared and hiding. 30 minutes later: Softer now. Still has spice notes, but the softness has come back (yay!) At the end of the day (several hours later): Still soft and spicy. This one has huge staying power on me! Overall rating: Good. A little OMG STRONG at first, but I like what this scent becomes.

He's intrigued by BPAL and says that Zephyr 'smells like hippy'. LOL. But he wants to try an imp that resembles the men's cologne "Swiss Army". Any recommendations? ETA: The Swiss Army website says that the cologne contains: Mint, bergamot and lavender, ylang-ylang, moss and cedar.

I'm very drawn to jewel like colors; dark reds, blues, greens, and purples. Primary colors that are very rich. I was just wondering, being a BPAL n00b and all, if there are any oils that evoke these colors.

OOoh. So much more to add to my wishlist! *eyes rapidly emptying wallet*

I just get such a distinct visual impression when I see jewels and gems and it would be neat to have an olfactory impression as well.
