This is a very wearable scent. The tea keeps it from being too sweet. The notes blend together beautifully but the mango does come out as the predominate scent. It smells like a picnic to me. Sweet fruit salad with a glass of cool iced tea on a perfect summer day. I received this today as a frimp from the lab. I'm so happy they sent this to me. I will definitely be getting a bottle of this.

I just did a swap for Q7 from TAL. The description is : A powerful attractant used by homosexual women to help them find love, ignite passion, and enhance their charisma. I'm excited to see how it works I don't know of anything from the Lab though I'm going to track this thread. Hopefully someone will rec a good one!

This smelled so strongly of cat pee in the imp that I couldn't try it. I might have gotten a bad imp or something. It was so strong it almost burned my eyes.

Wet this was sharp, almost astringent. It softens a bit after it dries but it still has a green almost but not quite pine like smell in the background. I guess I get some leather but it's very soft. Overall this is lighter than I thought it would be and I think it's a good unisex scent. My skin soaked it up pretty quickly and I'd need to reapply often. I don't like the wet stage so it doesn't make sense to get a bottle. I was hoping this would be a good woodsy/warm scent but I guess this imp will go in the swap box

I recall the drydown being very similar to Bow and Crown of Conquest, particularly after B&C gets a bit of age under its belt. It's also similar to one of my bottles of Perversion but completely different from the other one so if you're willing to take chances on batch differences, Perversion might also be a good choice. Thank you! Bow and Crown of Conquest sounds perfect. I'm going to put it on my list for sure. Perversion has some notes that don't work on me but I think I'll be on the lookout for an imp. Some of my favorite scents have been ones I would never have tried if someone wouldn't have frimped it to me

No recommendations for you, as I haven't tried it myself. but it's not all that hard to find. A sweet swapper frimped me Ü Mütter Museum and I fell head over heals in love with it. It's the woodsy-but-not-pine scent I've been looking for. And OF COURSE it's hard to find. Yep, of course it is. I added it to my "Wanted" post but so far, nothing. Are there any GC bottles that smell similar? The notes are "A mélange of balsams, leathers, and raw vanilla designed to evoke images of unearthed secrets and dusty, ancient libraries" Mmm, I'm huffing my wrist right now. Its soo goood! I got this bottle simply to go with my Vampires Don't Sleep Alone collection. Based on the notes I just knew I wasn't going to like it and got a bottle with about an imp in it as a swap. I need to stop thinking I know what I like...Yep, that's what I need to do. I don't get any of the listed notes. It smells like expensive cologne. Almost a uni-sex like cologne though. I'm definitely going to wear it and now I'm probably going to need another bottle. The closest I can link this smell to books is thinking it would smell great on a college professor.. A young very hot professor though Mmm, I can't stop smelling my wrist. It's enough to make me wish I was still married and had a husband to slather this on. Almost, hehe. But for now I think I'll just wear it myself. I'm not good at notes but this smells like musk and wood to me. Maybe cedar or redwood. It has something softening it up but for the life of me I can't figure out what it is. I'd think it's a floral but I'm just not sure. Whatever it is it's wonderful. Edit to add: It's been about an hour now since I put this one and I can now smell something that reminds me of a used book store. It's soft and very slightly musty. It's a pleasant smell. I'm still pretty in love with this scent and intend to get a full or at least fuller bottle as soon as I can

I really really wanted to like this. I was hoping the vanilla and the honey would tone down the incense but it just doesn't. Well, that's not entirely true. It does town it down some. The vanilla comes out about 30 minutes after dry down but it's still a very strong incense. I don't get a lot of honey. It's nice but not for me

I received this as a frimp and loved it so much I had to get a bottle. I have to admit I don't like it at all wet but I LOVE it when it dries down. It's hard for me to pick out any one note because they all blend beautifully. I guess I would describe it as a musky plum. This is the only plum scent from the lab that has worked on my skin. If it was a color it would be a deep dark rich purple. It's a warm fragrance without being super heavy. I'll wear it as a night out perfume. It's a grown up woman scent for sure. It reminds me a little bit of Poison. A scent I wore forever ago. It's not as strong but it has some of the same notes.

I'm slowly working my way through all the VDSA series and today it was Transeo's turn. I was really worried about the cumin. I like it in my food but it's nothing that I want to smell like. Well, there was nothing to worry about. This was a nice well rounded blend. Nothing stood out too strongly to me and I didn't smell the cumin at all. I also didn't really smell the wine but that too is a good thing. Boozy notes tend to turn on me and they don't smell pleasant. I really loved this one. My 16 yr old son said it smelled nice and It lasted for several hours. This doesn't smell sweet. It's more of a wood and floral scent without either overpowering the other. It's hard for me to pinpoint an one note because they all blend together so well. It's just a nice perfume smell. I can see where people are getting a shampoo smell but to me it's a little less soapy than that. 6/10- this is a good scent to wear to the office.

I’m looking for a Buttered Vanilla scent. I’ve done a search and I’ve read through all the vanilla reviews. All of the rec’s also list one of the notes that don’t work on me. So nothing with cinnamon, mint, anise or liquor. Although, I do like the labs bourbon vanilla. I think that's because I don’t really smell the bourbon at all in it. I love Dorian and I’m looking for that vanilla but with butter instead of the musk. I actually don't mind a little musk, I just really want lot's of butter and vanilla. Also, is there anything that smells like Buttered Popcorn with out caramel or chocolate notes? Do these ring any bells? Thanks guys

Libertarian is delicious. It's warm and sexy and spicy. I received a bottle of this as a frimp! Can you believe my luck? I agree with most of the reviews. It's main note seems to be clove. There is a note of citrus to cut that but I think it's orange. I don't smell lemon and lemon scents turn to pledge on me and this one doesn't. There is a slight undernote of something green. Definitely not pine though because that turns to pine-sol. Maybe it's fir? This could be a fragrance for a man or a woman. I'm wearing it right now but I will probably save this for the fall or winter months when I want something comforting and warm. I live in the desert and it's over 100 degree's outside so this scent doesn't make much sense for me to wear today. I'm giving this an 8/10 I really love it.

It's still overwhelming sometimes, even when you've been around a while The tricky thing with prototypes is that the reviews can be in a couple of places, depending on what kind of prototype they are. For the bottles that were sold via the Trunk Show events, you'll find those reviews at the 'Event Exclusives' topic that you've already been to.. but there's also an 'Unreleased Scents' topic here - that's got things that were given out as special frimps, Will Call exclusives.. and even some prototypes as well - so those two threads are kinda muddled up a bit.. if you're looking for something, you should check both topics. Oh, and if you have a prototype that doesn't have any reviews posted yet, you can click the 'Start a new topic' button and then post your review As for swapping your prototypes bottles - that's no problem, you just put them up in a regular swap post like you would any others. I have another couple of question if that's alright The two prototypes I got are Libertarian and Dai Yu. They both already have review threads but not for the prototypes. Libertarian under LE and Daiyu under Carnaval Diabolique. Would I just do the review under those threads and then stipulate that the bottles I have are Prototypes? Also, how do people know which version of a prototype they have? Neither of these bottles have a number. Although the Daiya has "Sarah" written on it Thank you so much for your help

I've never used the Titles only function and I'm kicking myself. That will definitely save me so much time. You can do all that here. It depends on what the prototype is, as to where it's located, but "unreleased scents" and "event exclusive oils" under the reviews section are both likely places. Thank you! This forum business can be a little bit over whelming when your new.

I looked through the forums FAQ and did a search but I didn't see this topic anywhere. I was frimped 2 prototype bottles. Is there a forum specifically for prototypes? I'd like to do a review of them. One I love and would like to keep the other possibly swap. So I'm looking for a forum to discuss, swap/sell and review prototypes. And if the answer to this is totally obvious, I'll apoligize now and smack myself on the forehead later Thanks guys

I keep going back and forth on this one. Every lemon scented oil I've tried so far smells like pledge on me. I keep looking though. An incredibly nice person sent this to me after reading a post I made asking for recommendations. This is right on the line of smelling like a cleaning product. I can't decide if it actually does smell that way or my subconscious is making me think that because of my expectations. It smells like very sweet lemon I don't get any of "icy" scent that others do. It doesn't morph from the bottle to wet to drydown but it does mellow out a bit. I'm pretty sure I like it but I might layer it with a light vanilla or a black tea scent. On it's own I think it's just to much. I had my 16 yr old son smell it and he went crazy over it. He thinks I should definitely get a bottle.

In the bottle and wet on my skin it smelled like straight pine to me. Not the astringent pine of a house cleaner but maybe the kind you smell in the car freshener. I was disappointed. Upon dry down the pine calmed down. It's still there but a bit of the wood and musk came out to balance it. I'd like more of the musk and any of the honey to come out though. Maybe layered this will appeal to me more. It smells too masculine for me by itself. I'll see what happens when I play with it a bit

This is delicious! Definitely a keeper. The white musk and bourbon vanilla balance each other perfectly. It's soft with out being overly feminine. I honestly can't stop smelling my arm. The only reason I got this bottle was to add to my RPG collection. I should know by now not to think I don't like something before I test it. I was just nervous about the leather But I really don't smell any. I also don't smell anything like shining armour but I'm not really sure what that would smell like. My knight hasn't showed up yet I'm giving this one a 9/10 it's just that good

I'm slowly making my way through as many rose based scents as I can from the lab. This one is a soft and feminine blend. I would say it's not predominantly rose though. I smell mostly plum and woodish notes with a background of rose. I'm not a huge fan of plum notes. I don't hate them they just don't work on me. Snooty Rose is nice but I'm not wow'd by it.

I received a decant of this as a frimp from a wonderful person. There was just enough to test. I'm not sure which year this one is though... Wet: This is strong and dark. Not at all what I was expecting. It smells like burned sugar and maybe incense. Dry: It's not quite as strong but still mostly burnt sugar. Hmm, maybe burned brown sugar. There is some kind of spice or incense in there too. I was expecting something light and sweet. It's definitely sweet but darkly so. More a nighttime scent that daytime. And more fall and winter than summer or spring. I really like the incense or whatever it is. It balances out the burned sugar smell nicely. I probably won't go out of my way to find a bottle but if it's up for a swap or a reasonably priced bottle comes along I'd go for it. The more I smell it the more I think I shouldn't say "burned" I should say toasted. Yes, I'm going with toasted sugar. Like the crust on top of a delicious creme brulee. Ok, I'm going with Toasted Sugar with a splash of Incense. Final answer.
