Astrological Info
Pisces with Aries rising (without that extra minute I would have been a double Pisces). I think I'm pretty much like that. Pisces through and through but the Aries gives me my drive.

I don’t always have to be sinister, do I? Here’s to finally being able to hit the slopes again! Soft white powder snow with a touch of youthful girlie perfume. When I first got this, I was suffering from a terrible cold, so it was a few weeks before I could fully appreciate the scent. In Bottle: A soft pine with crisp berry scent. Very fresh, not Pine-sol-ey at all. Wet on Skin: Melting sugar snow on freshly cut pine tree branches. Very Wintery. I really like how it has a berry scent, but it doesn't overwhelme everything else. Drydown: The pine slowly fades and the berry sweetness is all that is left. Nice, sweet, perfect. Final Notes: After reading the first reviews of this I was afraid it was going to be all berry and no pine or worse yet, all pine and no berry, but it was a perfect balance of both. It definitely smells like snow and winter which is refreshing here in Arizona, where on Christmas we had a high of 78. A seasonal blend, but beautiful just the same.

This is one I thought I would love. I mean the word "berries" was in the description. Here is the lowdown: In Imp: Very strong grape smell with a touch of booziness. Kind of medicinal. Wet on Skin: Eww. Grape Dimetapp. Not appealing. Kind of makes me sick and frankly is sort of disgusting. Drydown: I didn't wait to find out. I washed it off pretty quickly. Final Note: Definitely not for me at all. It smelled so strongly of grape that anything else was completely overwhelmed. Not very appealing to me, but someone must love it out there.

I got this as a frimp in a swap and was totally excited because I have been dying to try it out. Here is the lowdown: In the Imp: It is vanilla with a dark background of the spices. Very Yummy. Wet: The spices are making themselves known but the vanilla is still there keeping it sweet. Drydown: It is what I like to call Spicy Marshmallow. It is creamy, sweet, and spicy without being overwhelming. All in all delicious. Final Notes This definitely needs a place on my top ten list. I liked that there is some sweetness to cut the spices. I would compare it to Morocco which I liked but I wanted something more from. This definitely fit the bill. The scent has lasted a long time and I see a big bottle in my future.

I got this as a frimp, so I really felt obligated to try it. Here is what happened. In the Imp: This is Bubble Yum to the nth degree. It is strong, sweet, and syrupy, which is not really what I'm looking for in a perfume. Who wants to attract bees? This made me really hesitant to try it on, but I forged on. Wet on Skin: Yeah, it's sickly sweet and kind of makes my stomach turn. It almost makes me teeth hurt thinking about it. Drydown: To be honest, I had to wash it off before it got to develop on my skin because it made me nauseated and if I let that continue it would ruin me on BPAL forever and that just can not happen. Final Notes: This is not one I would have picked out for myself and it was somewhat comforting to know that my judgment was right. While I like foody scents I don't want to smell syrupy sweet. So off to the swap heap where it will hopefully find a better home.

In the Imp: Rich deep purple berries with a hint of something herbal in the background, might be the neroli. But it makes me yearn for some berry salad. Wet on skin: HOLY BERRIES, BATMAN! It is so delicious I can't stop smelling myself. I don't think I've ever smelled huckleberries before, but it smells like a mixture of raspberries and blackberries. If Jester were a color it would be dark deep purple. Drydown: It is berries, but every so often I get a hint of something green and herby in the background which prevents the smell from going too sweet on me. Final Note: This is the longest lasting scent I have tried yet. Throughout the day at work, I catch whifs of myself. I love this berry scent and would seriously consider using it as a home fragrance as well. Yummy.

In the imp: Pure strawberries and cream! I couldn't quite place what it reminded me of until I read some other reviews. Strawberry Shortcake dolls from when I was little. Very yummy. Wet: Still alot of strawberries and cream, but there is a green note that lurks behind it. It makes the strawberries seem fresh and not artificial. Drydown: The fragrance doesn't change much on me, really just fades away and much sooner than I wished. But a lovely fragrance just the same. Final Note: This is what I wanted Bon Vivant to smell like which unfortunately didn't agree with me. Strawberry Moon is my new favorite and now I must seek out more.

First time I tried Alice, I had a sore throat and a cold, all I smelled was carnations and roses. Which made me sick to my stomach and gave my mother a headache. So I put it away until I felt better and hear is my experience. In the bottle: Tea and lemons. A fresh crisp smell, like a tea party on a spring afternoon on a beautifully manicured green lawn. Very nice. Wet on the skin: Lemons. Very yummy. It is lemon tea but not like lemon zinger tea. It's softer which is probably the florals behind it. Very nice. Drydown: Where did it go? Within minutes my skin has eaten my Alice and all I'm left with is a faint powdery smell. Overall, the first experience was awful, the second disappointing. I loved the initial wet smell but I wished it would last longer than a minute and I don't much feel like slathering, I feel it might be become overpowering. Oh well, into the swap pile it goes.

I had high hopes. I was expecting a golden amber scent, but instead I got this... In the Imp: Very woodsy. Like an old wooden house that has been heated by the summer sun. I got no amber notes whatsoever. On Me: SAWDUUUUUST! Like my grandfather's old wood shop. Hot, humid, and woodsy. Now I love my grandfather, but I don't want to smell like his wood shop. Drydown: I didn't get that far, it was a baby wipe moment. I tried this again and the same result. Even on my entire family. So to the swap pile it goes.
