MCXXXIX - in the bottle, this smell's sort've like the perfume department at Macy's. It's very heady and in-your-face. It also sort've smells like grandma's makeup chest. On me, it starts as dirt and something sharp, it dries down to anise and violet. maybe a little patchouli. i can't stand any of the these things, so salesville it is. Oh yeah, there's lots of anise in this. And something that makes it a little sharp. Don't know what, though.

CDLXXX - starts out like fir and ... cherries? something sweet, something piney. morphs into something fruity. ends up as ZOMG, PEACHES. i don't mean this in a good way, or at least not me, b/c i'm not particularly fond of peaches. but they're there, orange and fuzzy and - ok, maybe apricots. i can't tell. fuzzy and sweet. it's still a little piney in the back, but mostly this is sort've like Aizen-Mayoo's collegiate older sister. It morphs REALLY fast and i like the wet stages, but i'm not such a fan on the drydown, so this'll probably get swapped.

purchased an imp orf DCLXXV from the lj forum. Sadly, this turns straight to copper on me, but I'll do the best I can with it anyway. in the bottle: floral and sweet, with something almost... earthy? herby? grounding it faintly in the backround. on me: i feel the way about this that i do about Frost Moon, and actually many of the lunar blends. there's something chilly, there, underneath everything else, but it's an assertive chilly. Mostly this reminds me a lot of Frost Moon, and heck if i can pick things out individually. There's some strawberry in there, and somethign almost bathroom-potporri-esque... sweet and faintly spicy, all at once. Ugh. and now it's that metallic copper on me again. I'm sorry, I tried, it's going up for sale now, hopefully someone that loves this sort've stuff will give it a good home. (Previously reviewed by chopchica.) DXVI: it's what clean hair is supposed to smell like. i'm getting a milky sort of pinapple/coconut vibe, with a little bit of green in the back. (Last reviewed by laochodia.)

first sniff: oh no. oh, this isn't going to be good. You smell like detrgent and icky. let's see where this goes. Application: imagine, if you will, Numb and I having a conversation. Numb: So, do you like violets? Me: I... er... I guess they're sort've ok. Why? Numb: Well, y'see, I HAPPEN TO SMELL LIKE VIOLETS! YAAARRRRRGH! VIOLETS VIOLETS VIOLETS! NOTHING BUT VIOLETS! YOU'LL SMELL MY VIOLETS AND YOU'LL LIKE THEM, SUCKER!!!!!! Me: (several hours later, wakes up in a gutter, severely bruised) Aw... crap. Did anyone get the number of the BPAL that assaulted me? Conclusion: Numb hates me and I hate Numb. It smells overpoweringly of VIOLETS! YARGH! and it doesn't fade. at all. i had to wash it off and even that didn't make the pain stop.

It smelled iffy in the bottle. And iffy when wet. The cypress, I'm guessing, I'm still not too hot at picking out individual notes. Then it started to dry, and it smelled lovely, sweet and a little spicy. Then it actually dried and smelled like the inside of my dryer's lint trap. Nemesis and I, we're no longer friends.
