    Pericardium

Spicy milky frankincense. I'm always on the lookout for this type of blends. Very evocative and cuddly. Reminds me of Kenzo's oriental fragrances. The rice milk mingles so well with the frankincense and the vanilla sweetens the whole concoction a tiny tiny bit. The clove comes out later and adds a bit of zing (reminding me a bit of carnation) and gosh, iy makes the entire blend sing on my skin! I will retest this again and contemplate on acquiring a bottle.

    Government Officials at an Orgy

I don't get black tea from this. It has a spicy, a tad savory vibe; could be the clove and blackcurrant? Totally not what i was expecting. The black tea smells like a cup of cooled off brewed tea leaves, with a little kick from the cloves, but not in any way astringent or pungent. Still very ethereal and calming, gender neutral, stripped off any sweetness. If you love quiet dry black tea scents with a hint of spice, get this!

    Eyeball Seaboar Alchemy Lab

Wet, it smells like Mary Read, but as it dries down the salt comes through more and so does the the honeyed patchouli. It's a woody moderately salty-sweet blend. If you are a fan of Mary Read and want a savory interpretation of it, get Eyeball Seaboar!

    Die Jungfrau

This such a breezy fuzzy lemon-fig scent with a dusting of thyme. I get no lavender, which was so strong upon initial application and it would not calm down. But then the most beautiful drydown emerged: a refreshing sweet fig - lemon drink infused with dried thyme leaves. Love!

    Closing the Bamboo Curtain

Green citric bamboo that slowly fades away. Can't believe there's no citrus in here.

The Silk Strings of the Shamisen

The "silk" note here smells to me like crushed bones, i guess it's the frankincense and white clove combo. It's got a dusty texture and wisteria is slowly peeking out. The dusty silk note and wisteria don't really vibe well on my skin. Wisteria slowly develops with a sharp shrieking tone and overtakes everything.

    Glistening Waterfall

It smells like funky matcha apple in the beginning. It has a green element to it, but also an ammonia vibe to it. No cacao in sight. It slowly calms down and the pepper comes out. The drydown is so faint, i can hardly figure out what i'm smelling - i guess it's a subtle matcha patchouli with a sprinkle of pink pepper with added brightness from the apple.

    Joyous Middle-Aged Couple

The opening reminds me of old school Guerlain perfumes, mainly a burst of mandarine over rosewood. This slowly morphs into something perfumey and musky (although there's no musk listed in the notes) and the honey rounds it out and makes it shimmery and sparkling. I'm happy i took chance on this blend, since i was afraid the rosewood would turn into rose soap.

    Smug Yale Alchemy Lab

This smells like a delicious desert. Very fragrant vanillic grasses. It reminds me of the chocolate note from some of the 13 blends. Truly unique!

    Wet Fingers

smells like pine needles and thyme and bit of shimmering mint in the background.

    Virgo Snowball Fight

I thought this would smell like a variation of Kumiho, but instead it's a whole different scent, where the bay leaf is dialed up and sprinkled all over the ginger/lemon/white tea combo. A beautiful aromatic herbal concoction.

    Wild Indigo Duskywing

2014 decant: it's a dark spicy blend with hints of smoke, but i can't tell apart the individual notes. It doesn't feel heavy, but the grounding notes (frank, vetiver, clove) give it a dark texture. There's a hint of black currant, but no sweetness in sight.

    Waiting

It's a clean and pale lavender, not astringent, but very delicate and smooth. It's not a soapy or aquatic, but more like a memory of freshly soaped skin. A very good option for an office scent.

    Who Would Not Tremble Too?

2017 bottle: I have to be honest, i was expecting totally something different from this blend. It's a green floral (with stems) dipped in honey, with a bitter undertone. Later on, it comes off as an orange blossom blend with a green vegetal edge, coated in gentle honey. I was expecting much more lightness and airiness. At this point, this scent feels heavy to me.

    Blackcurrant Glogg

This reads to me as an autumnal blend. The black currant comes alive in the beginning, but after 10 minutes the the boozy and spicy notes take over in a gentle way and reminds me a bit of the Lab's Halloween apple cider blends. Overall, it's a restrained blend, it doesn't beg for attention and appropriate for evening wear.

    Herbert West

It's a beautiful citrus-floral scent. Herbert West has a white rose note that goes so well with the aftershave and embalming fluid components. The white rose comes out the most on my skin and the citrus-aftershave notes just round out the scent.

    Zorya Polunochnaya

i let my bottle age for 7-8 months after purchasing it, a decision i made after testing a fresh Zorya P., which was very powdery. Cut to 8 months later, this is a beautiful vanilla veil with wisps of amber and light tobacco. Very ethereal and comforting.

    Luna Azul 2018

This oil has to be applied lightly, so easy on the wand or "trigger"! It's a beautiful floral oriental blend, with the frank and amber mingling together and jasmine rounding out the edges. I smell the caramelized aspect of the amber and it goes so well with the jasmine, while the frankincense grounds the amber and gives the whole scent a slightly churchy vibe.If you are an amber/frankincense fan give this a try. Very potent and mysterious.

    The Season of Ghosts

I get this high voltage of citrus notes, mainly lemongrass and blood orange, enveloped by the geranium, geranium leaves to be more specific. I smell no frank or ginger. It's a well rounded citrus herbal scent a tad sharp, but very wearable and finally frankincense shows up and acts more as a fixative base.

    Frostbitten Dorian

Imagine Snow White putting her arms around Dorian. It's much more of a subdued Dorian, only the lemony musky notes peek here and there, while the frostbitten aspect dominates, like a clean blanket of fluffy sweet almond snow.

    Tennis Match

This one of the more tamer grassy scents, unlike Venus Murcia, which was an overload of freshly mown grass dipped in oakmoss. It's inevitably green, but with a cleaner edge. The throw is medium, but very pleasant. I wish the white pepper asserted itself more.

    Chocolate Rum Scarab

What a beautiful combo of notes. I get the blast of chilly mint against the dark chocolate. The mint fades in time and i'm left with a non-boozy dark chocolate, a bit sweet and soothing,

    Frostbitten Blood Amber

This blend has nothing in common with the GC Blood Amber. The frostbitten blood amber is so opulent and flamboyant. It asserts itself and takes no prisoners. It's a boudoir scent, powdery, oozing carnal lust and an unspoken invitation to engage in acts of fornication.

    Gingerbread, Vetiver, and Black Currant

This has gone terribly wrong on my skin. The black currant smells like nail polish remover, very chemical and drowned out the other notes. This black currant note is the same one as in Blackcurrant Sufganiyot, which doesn't make the blend tolerable to me at all :(
