The 5 & 10ml bottles I have are all blue cobalt with screw tops and no applicators. You can request that reducers be fitted to the bottles when you order. I think some customers found the reducers too reducing whilst others find they are too prone to spilling the oils without reducers (fit me into this category).

I was about to say the same. Thanks Beth I am *almost* overwhelmed with all the new scents and changes. Hope you enjoyed the wine, have a good rest and prepare for the onslaught Pam.

Oh wow!! Off to rob a bank......

remind me not to reply to your posts when I have just woken up. I used to move so often that now I loathe it. It is 15 years since I was last persuaded to move... on that day I said, "never again". I suspect we will at some stage but....... Regardless, any degree of moving merits my sympathy!!

Fun??????? Good Luck with the move and enjoy the wedding.

Great idea Chimera, Dana O'Shee, Depraved, Imp, Kumiho, Lust, Pain, Siren, Snake Oil, The Star (I'd lose this to my husband, he loves coconut) Edited to add: Black Phoenix... and a new memory please??

Oils to relax, calm, soothe, restore your sanity...
allamanda replied to Shollin's topic in Recommendations
Interesting. As soon as I started reading this I was thinking Libra (yes I know you are Libra as am I) which I find very grounding. My next choice for myself would be Pain + The Star, don't ask me why but it just makes me feel stronger and somehow clearer. I shall have to try Pain with Libra. I agree with the suggestion of Water of Notre Dame and my other calming scents are: Hymn, Marie, Violet and Bluebeard (I think this is now Blackbeard on the BPAL site). -
The place where I bought mine, also sold pipettes. That's what I used. I think sometimes you can get syringes as well.

yep, that's right. Things are on the up now. It's great to see you so bright and positive Beth, thanks for the update.

Oils to relax, calm, soothe, restore your sanity...

I find the following very calming: Bluebeard (yes, really!!) Hymn Libra Marie Pain & The Star (I layer these two) Seraphim Being me I'd probably wear Dragon's Milk or Queen Mab and then feel as though I could wipe the floor with the unbearable ones. Hope something helps. -
Seraphim When first applied; floral incense. The wisteria is quite prominent but I also detect white florals. My nose says gardenia, the ingredients list says lily. Perhaps the rose is confusing me. Anyway this is an extremely attractive floral smell backed with frankincense. As this dries the florals seem wispy and quite ethereal. I find it very calming and appealing but not quite tangible. I have just read the other reviews and am going to pinch some of the comments made by autumn24 I was trying to think of a way to describe this. I felt as though the scent was floating over me. Very much so, this induced a similar feeling of calmness in me. Needless to say a larger bottle is on order.

Lust When first applied this is sweet and decadent, lovely. I really like Red Musk and can smell this very strongly. As this starts to dry I can smell the patchouli, myrrh and finally a faint floral note from the ylang ylang. I like this one so much sweet but with dryness to it and a very pleasant musky tinge. Definitely Lust in a bottle but sugar-dusted! Totally hooked... another large bottle required.

Embalming Fluid Sparkling lemon, crisp green tea this is so light and refreshing. I can just smell the musk which gives this scent a bit more backbone. There was almost no change from first application to dry-down; I loved the way this smelt. A larger bottle is on the way.

Not so far, touch wood. Edited to add: It does happen though. I remember someone (ViciousViolet maybe?) saying customs had held her package and charged duty.

BPAL Patchouli - there's nothing else like it

There are some great suggestions above. I love Vixen, Voodoo and Lust. I'd also suggest Imp (peach) and Depraved (apricot and a bit heavier than Imp). -
I'm in England and both of my parcels were left on my doorstep (hidden from road and relatively safe). No signature required. Delivery was with 7 days of postmark. Edited for typo

Oh Beth, that would be wonderful. Here's hoping it all works out for you. Loads of Luck, positive thoughts and I'll cross everything.

Mmmmm Bounty bar plus lime. Very coconutty with a sharp twang of lime. This smells boozy and makes me want a cocktail. This remains very fresh and tangy on me. Lovely smell, I like this very much. From first application right through dry-down this seemed to have a hint of mint in the background. I kept thinking Crème de Menthe which prompted me to try layering with Pain. Absolutely stunning!! Now I need a larger bottle of both.

Michelle, glad you are joining the Lab and that Beth is getting some much needed help.

Hi Beth, The links for emailing regarding international shipping quotes point to the papow address. Also, would it be possible / practical to have an email address purely for shipping quotes and perhaps a separate one for queries? Maybe a mention of the search engine and using the forum for information, queries etc? I know they are on the main menu, but people *might* read faqs more carefully. Pam.

Whilst wet this smelt a bit acrid on me, but dried to a wonderful, slightly sweet, slightly smoky, gentle fragrance. I like this a lot.
-
mmm lovely when first applied. Sweet, florally smell but not over-the-top. To me the top-notes are tiny, pretty flowers; violets, primroses, snowdrops but the base is heavier, still floral but jasmine, stephanotis, gardenia and flowers like that. I find this smell stunning, a sort of spring moving onto a tropical summer. I am in love; this is wonderful and lasts for hours.

Looking for scents that smell like chai

I haven't smelt it by itself, but in Dragon's Milk it smells light, sweet and spicy to me. Not sugar-sweet, more light fruit-sweet if that makes any sense. -

Going on description alone, maybe Wrath would suit? A scent aflame with rage, swirling in the red haze of hatred: dragon's blood spiked with black pepper, clove, and cinnamon. I love Lush Chai and Dragon's Milk always reminds me of it, I can only assume it is the Dragon's Blood Resin. Edited because chartreuse was severe!!
