Eeep. WTF is this! I really like this, and after reading the reviews, I am not surprised, I often like "boy" scents that make others go Blerrrrgh. This is sort of a more serious Urd to me. So very nice, but strong!! And thankfully I smell no wood, just wonderful resiny almost fruity, dusty goodness, very dark and a bit stinky, deep and rich...

I have wanted to love this for so long, but no. Just no. Thin. Plastic. Barbie head. No no no.

Rose Recommendations - which blend is for me?

Dawn Mother = amazing. Dawn Priestess is also awesome. -
2012 here. so. I finally get a bottle of the famous Snow White. I opened and sniffed and thought, eh, what's all the fuss about? This smells like leetle girl perfume... Then, on Christmas I tested it. OK. I get it now. This is awesome, fresh without being overly ozone, snowy without the snow note taking over, and floral, but in the most adorable way. Snow White for the win. Warning : May require hoarding... an addition to my review. Snow White is really long lasting on me, and I am a famous Perfume Eater, my skin sucks everything right up, but this hangs around for days. And is awesome. Must. Have. More.

Rose Recommendations - which blend is for me?

Miss Jessel is excellent. I do think if you like those earth, dried things types you might love Spellbound. Seance is the most amazing rose, IMO. -
Rose Recommendations - which blend is for me?

Seance. Quick run to your interwebs and get some Seance. I find it similar to the Peacock Queen but slightly more rich. My rose lovin' friend adores Phantom. Also London. I don't get a whole lot from London myself. My favorite hands down ultimate roses are in the Dawns, Mother and Priestess to be exact. I am in the minority as I don't love Maiden. Mourning Victory is more green than flowery, but very very good. -
powerful, dangerous scents for a young lady

Yes for Obsidian Widow, I would also suggest Wanda, and Sin. Personally I am not a fan of Mme. Moriarity and I think if you don't like sweet, you might hate it. Since you seem to dislike roses you may not like Whip either, IMO. -
I wore chocolate all day to keep me in the holiday spirit, I started off as a Peppermint Patty, with Lick It and Gelt, then moved on to a slightly more complex Uncle Travelling Matt. I am about to go take a Red Velvet bath, and will surely put on Halloween Las Vegas, I always feel as if that reinforces the Red Velvet. Hmpf. I might be pastry tommorow, ala King of Hearts or Jolesvanir...or I might go pine-y with Onduris...

The cassia is very strong in this one, I really like it though, bottle please...

Oooh lemon verbena is stomping all over this and killing it for me...please go away lemon verbena, I hate you with all of my being...wait, wait, phew, there are the amazing roses!!!! Yay. Roses and sweetness! I love the dry down of this, I just have to decide if it's worth living through the initial Lemon Verbena Attack. I smell Spellbound roses here, very nice.

You know, this is why decant circles are pure genius. I would have never bought this unsniffed, the notes did not grab me at all. Solar Phoenix had seemingly all the good ones, and I strangely hated it. Lunar however is quite wonderful, to me it's rich and kind of earthy, very well blended and gorgeous. I can see this on either a man or woman, those are usually the scents that are most wearable for me. This dries down to an amazing almost classic floral, I love love love this.

I thought I would love this, but all I could smell was apples when I put it on, when it dried down, bleeech...imagine my surprise when I found out it was pineapple. Hey! Wait! The word pineapple has apple in it!!!! No wonder this is so vile. Not for me. It smells like some kind of cheap fruit potpourri, sorry Lab, I know it's me, I just hate hate hate this type of scent. Well at least I don't have to buy all these Phoenixes You know, sigh, I am starting to warm up to this one after testing it a couple more times. The dry down was so awesome, lightly fruity and cinnamon heavy, so I am trying it at different times of the day. OK, OK I am liking it...so mad...

I really love this one, it's rich and mouth watering. It smells almost like a very rich syrup, but dark and thick. The only note that I can single out is the frankincense, which is a very good thing for me, she who lurves all of the frankincense...

Oooh this is fun and fruity, I think it's a perfect lighthearted scent. I am glad I pounced on this one, totally uniformed and just mesmerized by the fun story...

This is so great! And so Christmas tree! It's so fresh and outdoorsy, it's what those little pine tree air fresheners would be if they weren't gross.

Wheeeee I must agree with the Ayatollah, this is a super fun scent! I had pretty much the same experience, with the blueberry leaving fairly quick, leaving a lovely sweet snowy thing behind, which lasted for a long time. I love this, it's cheerful and pretty. Edit : So, I loved the top note of this so much, it went into my scent locket, where it is amazing. This is going to need back ups...

2012 here : Oooh this is fun. Fresh, very bubbly. Citrusy and clean but not soapy. It had the feeling of a Tiki Bar scent like Polynesian Pop when I opened the bottle, but it's much more straightforward than that, almost musky. I can see wearing this too work, or anywhere else you just want to be bright and fuzzy.

2012 Version here : Fruity! But not flat, very complex. The first blast has an almost lotusy bubblegum sweetness, then it tones down to a nice fruit candy. Yummy, not plastic at all.

Oh my. There are not enough words to heap the love I feel for this properly. This. Is. Heaven. The first Thirteen I ever ordered on my own was last year, it had a black label with 13 on it in red. I smell distinct similarities between those two, I loved that one and was lucky enough to be gifted a back up. I swear there is a light patchouli in this, surely amber as it goes powdery at the end, but not obnoxious baby powder, more like real amber resin that's been in a box for a long time. Whatever it is, there is also a dark chocolate, the same as that 13. I could wear this all night and all day I will never be able to hoard enough of this... it is lovely, and surely dark, but not too heavy. I see this one as feminine, the 13 is more unisex.

Oooh I don't know what this is, but it surely satisfies my cookie sweetness this time of year cravings. Like Jolla says, it's well behaved, but full bodied, and there is something in it that smells like?? Sand??? I don't know quite how to describe it. wait wait! I know what it is! it's that slightly salty, buttery, heavenly pastry thing from Knave of Hearts!!! Foodies, you need this...

Wow wow wow this is so sugary boozey good!!!! When I first put it on it was all icing and cakey, with something that smelled like almond, but not bleech gross almond that I hate, but really nice almond, then it went to rum and stayed there, bit of orange comes through. It did last quite a while on me, over three hours and still strong. yeah, this sticks around, but happily it does not turn thin or plastic-y like some vanillas do (looking at you, Lemon Scented Sticky Bats and O)

I agree with Little Bird in that this does remind me of Schwarzer Mond, I love this. I find it delicious and heady and not so smokey that I smell like Bar B Que (looking at you Bonfire Night...) I wear this all the time, I class it with my Dark Scents, like German Expressionist Horror, Gothic Horror and Phoenix at Midnight.

Sometimes I don't get a Paypal notification, like the thing that says "You just paid Black Phoenix, again..." but I usually check the next day in my Paypal account just to make sure the transaction worked, and did not get stuck in some cyberspace glitch. I have made, I dunno, a zillion orders? and most of them through PPal, I really dislike the CC now thing, I mean, it says "now" but one time it took them like 3 weeks to actually make the charge, which was big, for me that is. Imagine my surprise.

Oh joy this is fantastic...it smells like fancy lady perfume, like someone who shops at Bergdorf Goodmans and wears a lot of black cashmere... surely not I, but I don't mind smelling like this.
