This is very beautiful, softer than Priestess to me but similar. Love this. Dawn has become another favorite hang out for me here.

I thought I would love this, I love anise and I love cherries, Red Queen is one of my most favorites. However, with this one the gorgeous cherry was there just till the dry down and then it was Licorice Candy. Bleech.

This is a mystery to me. I was sure these notes would be fantastic, but all I get is a puff of powdery WTF is that? which is gone in like 15 minutes. To the back of the cabinet with you! Will try back later... So after letting this bottle sit, it's become glorious. And substantial. I smell the flowers less than the bourbon, but they give a nice sharpness to the early phase of this. After a few hours it drys down to mostly bourbon. I love this, there are some days when I really want the sharpness of this.

I love Lulu. Very happy about loving her, as Emma and I are currently not on speaking terms. Lulu was the completion of my District hoard, I mean collection. Lulu to me is very green, like the smell you get when you first walk into a florist's shop. The feeling is like walking down the street in early autumn or late summer on a cool morning, and you can smell someone has mowed their lawn a block away. It has nice throw and lasting power, and is not headachey or soapy in the least for me. Fresh and gorgeous. This is so garden rich, and there is nothing else like it in BPAL, but it does have the freshness and green for me like Ya Te Vo, but a bit more girly. Just a bit though, I think this would be fine on a boy too.

Yes cake here! I know that I will be in the mood for this from time to time, nothing wrong with smelling like a cake... And the label art is way cute.

After pushing this one to the back of the list so many times, I finally ordered my big bottle last night with my OMG NEED MOAR OF THIS WILF order. Haunted to me has the same top note as Shalimar, one of my penultimate perfume loves. Unfortunately I could never wear Shalimar, as I have a sensitivity to something in it. Strangely the only BPAL that ever did this to me was Queen of Hearts (sob loved it so much). However I tried Haunted as an imp and was just fine with it. My impression of Haunted is soft but strong, and very rich. I react to it in the back of my nose. The only other BPAL I can compare it to is Temple Viper. 4.5 out of 5 stars for me.

I hate the smell of this oil. It does not smell like lemons to me, it smells like yuck the worst kind of Burts Bees bug spray citronella candle ewwwwww. I love lemons. This is not lemons. And on me it smells bad. Really bad. However I have to say, it works. Really works. sigh.

Zomg another vote for Black Opal. It's all powder over here.
-
TKO V3. It's a fluffy pink marshmallow. Not like that's a bad thing.
-
Of course because I am perverse, I had to get a bottle of Imp. Love this, it's in the same amazing fruity group with Josie and Kitsune Tsuki. It fades PDQ though or maybe that's just because it's getting over the trip here still. If it stayed like the top note it would be number one on the hit parade... Edit * This is what they make scent lockets for...this lives in my Mad Hatter locket, very appropriate.

Oh noes, another hit!!!! from Grendel for me. This one is fantastic, and although it is very "masculine" I still (as a girl) love it for myself, it's very complex and amazing. I could even smell it in the shower, after using actual soap. Need this. Thanks to Melifluous for her gorgeous decant circle.

On my amazing husband (whose mother was a perfumer, and who himself has a wonderful nose) his favorites so far are Hellboy, and Debauchery. I also love the Dawn guy one, I forget his name now but he smells fantastic. I also love Tombeur on him.
-
Zomg heaven. this one starts off sharp to me, but then ends smooth with rich vanilla spice at the end. Beautiful, perfect, getting a bottle ASAP. Edit : Have my big bottle, and this has turned out to be one of my top ten. Amazing. Spicy, warm, lively, wonderful.

This is wonderful, there is a sharp lemony note at the start, and it ends up rich and resiny, love love love it.
-
Ooh another powder lover!!! I think it's the amber that does it to me, it's fabulous. That said my favorites are Crib Girls, and Spellbound.
-
Love love love this. It is a bit "masculine" as it is a wonderful almost totally green deep blend, so very well blended and rich. It doesn't scream one note, it's a melange of gorgeous.

Licorice Bats!!!!! Shoot me and kill me, I love this. It's total candy on me, but heavy and weighted down with something more substantial. I was lucky enough that my Best BPAL Pal did not care for the sugary note in this. Love, love, love, more proof to my theory that all Bats is good Bats...

I got this for my DH, he loves red musk (he wears Debauchery all the time, it's fantastic on him). We are both wearing Tombeur today, and loving it. I don't get much red musk however, mostly the antique patchouli (the same as Schwartzer Mon, yay!) and vetiver. This is a big big win for me! Oh and him, yeah I got it for him right??

So, I saw the link on the forum the other day and I ordered the two oils. I paid with Paypal. I did not realize that you should put your forum name down on the order form. I hope I am not in trouble! I did send an email to customer service, maybe that will fix it?

This the the Emperor's New Perfume for me, my husband says it is wonderful, but I can barely smell it. I feel it more than smell it, OK then. Lucky for me, my BPAL pal says she can't smell Two, Five and Seven (which I surely can) so I am assured that it's a weird chemistry thing not a OMG I am broken thing. I like this though, it seems quite soft to me, but it tickles the back of my nose and throat, though not unpleasantly. It was worth it to buy for the bottle art alone, I'll try the Mother next... Edit* OK! So it's been a few days, and now the Priestess and I are getting along much better, and I can smell her. She dries down to a nice medium bodied sweet incense, however I would have thought that she had an opium note, as I smell a similarity between two others that I love, Stormclouds over the Midway, and L'Heure Verte??? another Edit* This has become one of my favorites, the rose note is like a sharp tea rose kind of rose. The incense underneath is beautiful. Further Edit, just bought my second bottle of this, it aged into the most wonderful rose and resin.

I second the nomination for Bon Vivant for champagne with strawberries. Another amazing strawberry is Bat of Virtue, which you can buy from Etsy right now. -
Foodie Smells lover and a Halloween question.

Ooh here's one I forgot, Lemon Scented Sticky Bats, it's like a lemon cookie, and you can buy it GC! Meaning it's available through the General Catalouge. Also helpful for me, if you have say a million hours of spare time and are reading the Lab's offerings, I make notes about the stuff that looks interesting and then I look at reviews. Of course you are not going to jibe with every review, if say you LOVE vanilla and the reviewer does not you will smell the scent differently, but I find even the negative reviews helpful ie, "Eeew gross me out man smells like lemons" I know it's for me because I love lemons. -

My favorite food are Josie (peach) and Hungry Ghost Moon (which I call The Evil Cookie). Thirteen from this year has an amazing chocolate top note, but it's only the top note that is "foodie" Luck to you, I think you will find many things you like here. -
BPAL Patchouli - there's nothing else like it

Sin is pretty amazing. I also love Clemence but you cannot buy her right now as the Carnival is down, unless someone is selling some. Oh, and OMGosh, Lust. I lust for Lust. Lust and Sin are from Sin and Salvation. -
This is quite beautiful. It smells to my philistine nose like a classic Chanel perfume, gorgeous. To me this is an elegant lady in 1925, in a dark smokey jazz club, wearing some gorgeous couture black silk dress. Love this, it's on The List.
