Winter smells and scents, including the perfect winter forest
stellamaris replied to Fury's topic in Recommendations
Dark Rosaleen which is up right now with the Bards is a beautiful forest scent. -
My little daughter uses this, it's very fresh smelling. It lasts a long time too.

Well, not a perfume, but I finally know what Neroli smells like. Oceans of Love and Millions of Kisses, which I have the Giant Size Bath Oil of, is allegedly that. And I love it. I was wondering what the gorgeous flower was in that, now I know. Wishing I'd ordered Alma Venus now...

Oceans of Love and Millions of Kisses Bath Oil
stellamaris replied to ElinaMakropulos's topic in Thermae
Well! Talk about your serendipity. I have been reading a thread about Neroli recommendations and thinking that I had not a clue what neroli actually smells like but looky here, I actually do! If this be neroli, play on please. It is gorgeous. I love this bath oil, it's like bathing in spring flowers, without the wallop that showy flowers sometimes pack (gardenia, I am looking at you). I am enlightened. -
This should be getting way more love than it does. This is creamy amazing heaven. I have so far received 57 imps of this in my TP orders, and OK!!! I get it!!! I am ordering a bottle of this. I spray this obsessively in my car, and I just absolutely am addicted to it. This smells like winning, and gorgeous. It reminds me a bit of Tombeur.

ooh there it is, the cough syrup review. I know as soon as I see that, it's for me. And yes. This one is for me, thank you so much to the awesome forumite who sold me this gently used bottle. This is just beautiful. I get the coffee right up front but then the drydown is something lush and well blended, nothing comes out and screams at me, it is all one swirling cloud of slightly sweet, slightly spicy gorgeous. amazing. This does not smell like perfume, it smells like an amazing place, a time, I don't know. I could see wearing this to work, I work very closely with other people and your scent can't be obnoxious, but I do love it when people (often who because of our job I am standing right on top of) say, wow you smell great! Worth it. Need backups.

Just got my first big bottle of this! And I love it!!! The vetiver is the wet note for me, but the dry down is all sweetness and a little bit of that fizzy blood thing. Cherry, yes, vanilla, yes. Gorgeous, yes. The vetiver does hang around in the dry down, but it is definitely in the background. Not as aggressive as Blood Rose but in the same family. note on reviews, as soon as someone says "cherry cough syrup" I cannot buy the thing fast enough. Cherry turns into the most amazing delicious stuff on me.

Clearly the Lab thinks I need a bottle of this, because I get at least one frimp with every order. OK OK! It's good! It's really really good! Lush, fruity, boozy, a really fun scent. I definitely get the apricots here.

note to self...Sprout is totally obsessed with demons... Or, there's always the anti demon, like Kill Devil You can also go to where the demons live, like the Isle of Demons (sounds really nice, I've never tried it!)
-
Just freaking beautiful. As another poster said, I need gallons of this. This is so comforting to me, it's lovely lush incense. Love love love love love it.
-
Ah ha. Here's a GC no one's mentioned yet, Rakshasa "This haunting, exotic scent is named in honor of the shapeshifting demons from Hindu mythology. Sandalwood with rose and patchouli"
-
Ooh why have I never tried this before!!! This is lovely, warm, vanilla, almost like a nice cologne. Love this.

BPTP (Hair Gloss, Atmo, Bath Oil) to BPAL Similarities/Reccs
stellamaris replied to Juushika's topic in Recommendations
Here's something strange. I find Doc Constantine to be very similar in feeling to Tombeur. -
Scents with similar notes to Oblivion? (+ other suggestions as well!)
stellamaris replied to plexaure's topic in Recommendations
It's strange, you (OP) and I seem to have identical scent loves, except for Oblivion, which was not so good for me, but now I'll have to try it again...I love most of the GCs you do, except for Dana O'Shee which is not great. And, we ordered the same Lupers. Here's some you might like, if you like that Oblivion thing, which on paper sounds like I would love it, I just have tested it and not so much, but hey... maybe I was having an off day. I'd say try Omen Ouija Masquerade (has the same patchouli, dirty, with fruitiness) Laudanum (this had a similar feel to me, but I may be crazy they don't share any of the same notes?) -
I love Wanda but for me it's all wine. But I am usually the odd man out. Perversion is amazing. I don't get the leather super strong, it seems to be a particular type leather, sort of like the one in Leather Phoenix. Has anyone mentioned Kubla Khan? I find the leather very smooth in that. I have Creeper Dragon coming, so curious about green leather!

Well, not specifically demonic, but Whitechapel is evocative of the demons within. And for playful demons there is always Goblin, and Imp. I like playful demons. Wait! What about Lillith?

While squandering my time on the World Wide Waste last evening I came upon this http://alchimia-apothecary.com/product/sandstorm/

Possets Arizona Honey and Sage. 51 smells like the desert outside of Las Vegas to me, at night, outside a gas station convenience store with bats flying all around the lights in the parking lot.
-
Eh, no problem! Going off to write my congress representative now about the bushes...
-
Always on the lookout for you now Minh Scent! Also, one reviewed highlighted that particular ingredient so I figured it was someone who knew what it smelled like. I have to say, I have many things from the trading post Lupers this year, and they are all really really really good. Just saying.
-
have you seen that the Trading Post's Scattered Flowers Hair Gloss has osmanthus in it? This is one of the limited Lupers.

Lately I have been revisited by old BPAL loves that I never got full bottles of, and have no clue why. I have had many imps of Lust that I have been lucky enough to come my way, and each time I try it I think Mmmm I lust for this Lust...it is filled with awesome and win, and smells like BPAL to me, the very idea of it. And onto the next order it goes. This is a patchouli blend that I find very wearable, and a bit less dirty hippie than say, Sin or Imp.
-
it's funny I have never reviewed this, as I remember getting an imp of it early in my BPAL forays, and really not liking it, and lumping it into the same blergh plastic category as O. Recently I retried an imp of it, and was amazed at how gorgeous it is. It is right at the top of the wishlist now. This is beautiful smokey, the honey is not too dominant, and the vanilla is glorious. Love love love this, and getting some stat. got some. Getting more. Getting backups. this one ages beautifully.

well. I sort of ignored this, believing it to be just a boy scent. Was I wrong. Mayhem and murder, made for the boys, but I like it too...ha... This is delicious, amazing lime. Lasts forever too, unlike most lemony/limey/citrus things do on me. This is fresh, but fine at night too. Need big bottles of this.

Holy Amazing Batpeople!!! Thank you for enabling me, thank you...this is the Hair Gloss sister of the Whiskey, Candlelight and Awesome Atmosphere Spray. It is gorgeous, dark and incensey, without the patchouli hit. Freaking amazing. It does have the Nag Champa vibe in it, it is just glorious.
