Hymn to Prosperpine (I am copying the spelling right off the lab label, not sure if it is correct) In the vial: sharp, almost like isopropyl alcohol. On me: It smells like almond, soft and sweet. Maybe a hint of plum. I haven't decided if I like what plum scents smell like on me. They have a sharpness, a resemblance to isopropyl alcohol.

hellfire in the bottle: sharp liquor, maybe vodka, scent. on me: Definitely smoke, like a campfire. Underneath is a hint of hot wood, not sure how else to describe it. I don't find the tobacco that I do in other scents. This lasts! Right before I fell asleep, I sniffed my wrist and could detect a sweet tobacco scent. Interesting, I am going to try this again!

Milk Moon In the bottle: It smells like sour cream. I love to eat sour cream, but smell like it? On me: Better, this reminds me of Obatala, but a bit softer. Creamy, but with a bite.

Chaos Theory III: DVI (506) In the imp: Chocolate On me: It becomes fruity and sweet. I will add more if I can.

Egg Nog I have read review that refer to a scent as being like a baby diaper. That is totally what Egg Nog smells like on me. Clean, diapers. Yuk! I usually love foody, but not this one.

Hurricane It starts out as citrus, then becomes aquatic and murky. The end result is a soft light floral. Nice, but not me.

Delirium I am wary of anything with rose. It usually gets totally overpowering on me. But this was more apple fresh without the actual apple scent. Light and airy, the notes of apple, rose and lemon blend well. Later the rose appears, but only in a small way. Not enough to give me a headache. Kind of a nice soft floral that I might be able to wear. I am going to give this another try.

Vixen I was almost sure that I wouldn't like this. Patchouli and I don't usually get along. So I was very happy to find that this is wonderful! A warm and close to the skin scent. The notes blend together to make an almost creamy, vanilla with the patchouli nicely in the background to add depth. Like it!!

Black Pearl In the bottle: Watery floral On me: At first a bit of hazelnut, but then, funky powder. I am not finding any coconut. I am also not a floral lover, so the iris might throw me off. Not what I expected.

Samhain '04 In the bottle: warm and alcoholic On me: Totally menthol. I had to wash it off. Darn!

Chaos Theory III: DCLXXVII (677) In the bottle: Creamy, foody sweet with a bit of liquor. On me: A bit sweet, but not foody, strawberry. Then I get that vegetable oil resemblance like I did with Monster Bait Closet. Thankfully, that goes away, to be replaced with light, sweet fruit, strawberry, I think. It retains the sweetness and becomes more creamy. Luckily it doesn't turn sour on me like Bon Vivant. Unfortunately it doesn't have a lot of throw. However, I think this is still a great scent! I am going to try it more, maybe I will layer to bring out the yumminess!

Siberian Musk To me this is masculine. I recognize it from other BPAL, but cannot place the exact scents. On me it isn't a warm, skin scent. More of a cheap cologne scent.

The Bow and Crown of Conquest I thought that this would be a keeper, I love most of the notes; sage, carnation, vanilla and leather. But something about this was overly masculine, not in the spicy, leather way that I like, but like a cologne. So I will be swapping this.

Spooky Thanks, Gwallahay, for the chance to sample this! In the bottle: creamy, almost milky, peppermint. On me: At first I get a hint of cold fresh winter air and then it is creamy, peppermint candy cane all the way! I will want to try this again because it is intriguing. It smells good, even though I don't like candy canes or any of that red and white striped candy. I am not sure I want to wear it though. However, the scent lingered and kept me interested for hours. I will edit with any new developments on this scent.

O The first time I wore this I was not sure. Now that I have become more knowledgeable about certain notes and my body, I know why. It could have been the wrong time of the month when scents get wacky. Or it could have been the amber, which is unpredictable on me. But I wore this yesterday and I loved it!! I now recognize the honey note, which for me was an acquired taste that I am liking more and more! Especially now in O. Who knew that honey would have a haunting, sultry muskiness that I never get from musk? This scent is sultry, sexy sweet, almost lick-able, yet not foody. A get close and nuzzle me scent. How appropriate for O! Will be wearing more of this in the future.

Bon Vivant I want to love this, champagne and strawberries sounds so luscious! In the bottle: very ripe strawberries On me: Not good. A bit sour, yet bland. I can't pick out any certain notes. It just lingers in boringness. Once again song lyrics are running through my mind. Cheap Trick "I want you to want me, I need you to need me...Didn't I, didn't I, didn't I see you cryin'..

Ogun At first I get a bit of the Runts candy similarity as with Shango. But that fades almost instantly. This is fruit but with tobacco (which I love) to deepen and enhance, not smoke, just tobacco. As I wear it, it becomes creamy with honey sweetness and a bit of wax. Like the kind one uses to can fruits and veggies. I like this!

Storyville In the bottle: Hazelnut, but elusive. On me: Hazelnut and smoke. But almost immediately it changes to a cologne scent, almost masculine. By the end of the evening, creamy vanilla notes have emerged. On me this one is like the Haunted Palace. Thank you Wench 457 for the swap!

Yemaya In the bottle: Sweet, juicy melon! Yum! On me: At first I thought, Fee! Maybe I can get my Fee fix from this. I wore it on one wrist and Fee on the other just to compare. And even though it reminds me of my precious Fee, it lacks the spiciness. However, I still love, love this!! This is definitely melon. It lasts and lasts on me.

Eris In the bottle: Fruity sweet with a hint of spice and woozy floral. On me: Spicy fruit with an undertone of floral. The floral fades and the spicy fruit lingers. I am slightly reminded of Juicy Fruit Gum. Very lasting on me. By the end of the day I still have the Juicy Fruit similarity. Very unusual scent. This is one I think I will try again. By coincidence I tried this on the same day that my Lotus Moon arrived and the scents seem similar to me. Perhaps Eris has a bit of Lotus in it?

Eve In the bottle: Honey and flowers, luscious On me: Oh no! I am getting that funky scent that most florals give me.

Obatala I have been longing to try this and thanks to a swap from Reedsong, I can! In the bottle: Creamy sweet, oh yeah this is delicious! On me: Milk and coconut with a hint of shea butter. Tropical in a non-fruity way. The coconut isn't as strong as the scent that I recognize from traditional suntan lotions. No, much more fresh, clean and oh so lovely! I have described some scents as juicy and this does make me want to lick my own skin, but I think this is better described as creamy luscious. I can't express my happiness in finding this scent! Unbelievably wonderful! A new precious!! Must have more!

Phobos In the bottle: Lemon with an undercurrent of a light oil. On me: Lemon, and it always goes well on my skin. Grapefruit adds its fresh tartness and musk keeps this from being too one dimensional. Sadly this quickly faded. I think I will give this one more try.
