I always seem to forget that's an option! Thanks! -

Oh thank you! I'll see if I can track down a bottle on sale and if not, Loup Garou sounds like a good possibility. -

Wolf Moon 2011 "This pale and glittering moon hangs high over the deep snows and freezing winds of midwinter. January’s full moon has been named the Wolf Moon by many cultures, as the nights are filled with the howls of ravenous Wolf packs, and the danger of falling prey to the animal’s desperate hunger is at its peak. This scent is that of unending, unquenchable hunger and feral madness. This is the dead of winter: a frozen night, chill wind, and the sharp, warm perfume of blood, fur, fang, and claw. Winter air, Terebinth pine, black spruce, long-dead maple leaves, juniper berry, dusty orris, deep amber, white sandalwood, brown musk, blue cedar, ambrette seed, benzoin, and tonka." My best friend is looking for something similar to Wolf Moon 2011 and I'd like to order it for her birthday. Any suggestions? I did my best to search through this thread to see if anyone had already made suggestions but came up blank. -

In the Bottle: Sharp green herbs. Wet: Sweeter florals. Most of the herbal scent has faded. Dry: Musky sweet floral. All of the herbal scent is gone. Overall: Sweet floral, musk has faded. Overall, I was pretty disappointed. I was really hoping for a nice herbal scent, but instead I got an old lady type scent. It's not awful on me or anything, just not what I was hoping for.

In the Bottle: Sweet, floral and a good balance of musk. Wet: Very very floral, strong sweet pea note. Dry: Sweet floral with strong sweet pea note. Nicely balanced musk. Overall: Long lasting, although scent does become less noticeable. I have a love/hate relationship with musk, and this was a VERY good one. I get absolutely NONE of the sage note though. Aeval is a nice scent that's true to the description, it just isn't anything spectacular. A little too sweetly floral to be a "me" scent.

Bottle: Fresh fruity roses. Wet: Very flowery, and less fruity than in the bottle. Tiny hint of mint. Dry: Mint is gone, back to being very fruity and warm. Very very reminiscent of Titania. Overall: I am disappointed that I got so little of the mint and absolutely no rosemary scent. I liked it a lot, but it was so similar to Titania. The main difference between the two was that it was more long-lasting and less flowery than Titania.

In the Bottle: Flowery linen. Wet: Flowery linen, a touch of ginger and pepper. Light musk. Dry: Clean linen, no flowers. Honey and a faint touch of vanilla. Overall: Moderately long lasting. I think I will apply it a little more heavily next time. Very light smelling. The musk faded to the background, but didn't disappear. I was disappointed that there wasn't more of a ginger and pepper scent, and I get absolutely no tea at all, but the honey linen scent was very nice. Not what I expected, but I will wear it again.

In the Bottle: Sharp overwhelmingly sweet honey. Wet: Very strong warm honey/musk. Dry: It is very warm, but the honey mellowed out a little bit. The amber comes across more like musk, and the whole scent wass very warm. Overall: Once it dried, the scent was very unchanging and lasted at least 12 hours. I liked this a lot, but I don't think I'd wear it on a warm day, I think it would be overwhelming. It's perfect for a cold fall/winter day though. Unfortunately not as sexy as I'd hoped for. But a great scent overall. I'm really bummed that it isn't the bottled sex that everyone describes, but it is a very nice scent and I'll definitely wear it again.

In the Bottle: Pure chocolate. It reminds me of a Bath and Body Works fudge brownie lip gloss I had YEARS ago. Wet: Still pure chocolate. Dry: A slightly deeper, richer fudge scent. Very warm. Overall: Warm, sweet and fudgy. It's a very comforting smell. I doubt I'd wear it very often, but it would be perfect if I was having a bad day.

Perpetuum Bonum
Vampire Sass replied to LiberAmoris's topic in Prosperity, Success, and Good Fortune
I also posted this in the general TAL chatter section. I bought an imp of Perpetuum Bonum last fall, and hadn't had a chance to use it. I've been looking for a job for nearly a full year without any luck. I finally got a call for an interview last week, and used some before my first interview. I used the tiniest smidgen on the edge of my resume, and on a piece of hematite I'm very attached to. It's always been my good luck/strength piece that I carry with me if I'm worried about something. I took a few minutes to ask the universe for help, and that if this was going to be a good position for me, to help me do well at the interview. I put the hematite and the imp in my purse, and took the resume with me. I got a call for a second interview two days later. I did the ritual with the hematite again, and the second interview went very well. And I got the job offer today. I'm pretty impressed. Whether it was the oil, or the fact that it gave me extra confidence, it definitely worked well. I got the results I was hoping for. Even more unexpectedly, the same night as my first interview, I sold 20 of the photo greeting cards I make. I hadn't even been putting them out there to be sold, but someone from another forum asked for crafts to use in her custom gift baskets, and wanted some of my cards. If they sell well, she'll order more, and I have my email address and web address on the back of the cards so if people like them they can order them directly. I think I may do a small ritual for the sale of the cards to go well too. Although I don't want to be too greedy. I am not thrilled with the smell, cherry is not my thing, but it is certainly effective. I think I will probably mostly use it for anointing objects, and not on myself. -
In the Bottle: Sharp, green leaves and spices, a hint of berry and floral. Wet on Skin:Warm, still sharp. Sweet berry and sage. A little bit of spice. Dry on Skin: The spice is gone, but it's still sweet and warm smelling. No sharpness at all, just warm berries and herbs. Longterm: Very long lasting, and warm and summery smelling. I definitely want to buy a bottle of this at some point.

In the Bottle: Sweet, heady apricot. Wet on Skin: Warm, rich, still a lot of apricot. Dry on Skin: Musk emerging to blend with the apricot. I'm sort of neutral on this one. It was pretty good, but the musk sort of overpowered the apricot eventually, and I would have preferred the pure apricot scent of it in the bottle or wet on my skin. I think I need to give it another try though, and see how it does.

In the Bottle: Sharp, warm, sweet. Smells like toffee butter popcorn. Wet on Skin: Less of a popcorn scent, more honey. Dry on Skin: Soft, warm spicy honey. Long lasting. I like it a lot, and I will definitely wear it again. A little strong initially though.

In the Bottle: Fruit, floral, sweet. Wet on Skin: Sweeter with the scent of plums. Dry on Skin: Plum and violet. Longterm: Warm and purple smelling. I'm not sure how I feel about this one, I think it'll need some more testing. It didn't smell bad, but I didn't love it. And I'm not sure how often I want to smell purple. On me, it seemed very one dimensional, which was really disappointing. And I didn't get any sort of Morgause vibe from it. Hmm.

In the Bottle: Sharp, bitter, chemical. Wet on Skin: Less bitter, but still sharp. Dry on Skin: Much sweeter, green but with an edge of sharpness. Floral notes like white lilac. Longterm: The very strong initial scent fades to a beautiful green with white. Plant notes mix with floral and are soft, feminine with an edge of steel. This one really surprised me. Initially it was awful, but once it has a little time on my skin it's absolutely wonderful. I'm not sure it's one I would wear every day, but I think there are certain occasions that it would be perfect for. When I want to feel pretty, but ready to kick some ass.
