Wow! What a complex and ever-changing scent! I love it. The predominant notes are chocolate and orangey-citrus. I love to layer Carnal and Bliss, so that's fine with me! But it is more complex and subtle than that. For one thing, there's a hint of floral, which is great for me, because I so want to wear florals but can't stand most of them on me. I love finding blends that have a hint of floral along with other scents that I adore. It's also a bit spicy, a bit juicy, a bit sweet, and a bit sharp. A bit of just about everything! In a very harmonoius mix. You really need to try this one!

My skin amps up the ylang ylang so much that I can barely discern anything else, just a tad of honey with no patchouli to spice it up. Reminds me of cheap, over-perfumed soap, not a pleasant olfactory experience. As I'm learning that I'm not really happy with floral scents on me, I'm still hoping to find a blend that has a bit of a floral component but will work well for me. This one is definitely not it, but I'll keep trying with other blends.

This is an insanely energtic and sparkling scent! To me, it embodies a fresh spring day when flowers are budding, birds are singing madly, and the tiniest baby bunnies are nibbling new grass shoots. Green, bright, fresh, young, clean, breezy! That said, it's not a scent I want to wear right now. I suppose I should welcome the burst of early spring before its time, but somehow the contrast between this scent and the grey winter day just confuzzles my poor little brain. I tend to be spacey enough without being split in two between different seasons! I can hardly wait to try it in spring and summer. (I think it would be a good beach day scent.) This reminds me in its effect of Tempest, one of my faves. So I'll probably be alternating between them come warmer, sunnier weather.

Wet: fruity but with a strong earthy/musky odor (neroli) Dry: Sweet and juicy, sparkly, but the faint scent of neroli keeps it from being sickly sweet and adds a touch of tartness. I love it! But I'm not sure how often I'll be wearing it. I'll definitely keep my imp, though, and see if it grows on me enough to buy a 5ml. If you like fruit scents but want something a bit different and more complex than most fruit perfumes, you should definitely try Akuma.

Clean, crisp, juicy, ozoney. Wonderful! But sadly, another to add to my long list of scents I like that don't like me. Now sitting here sneezing and dripping, despite having washed this off to the best of my ability. Damn alleriges!

Fresh springtime scent, very energetic. In bottle: pennyroyal Wet: pennyroyal, flowers, plus an odd, rather earthy, almost rotten note Dry: The odd note disappears. Bright pennyroyal, sweet apple blossom, and I think I detect hyacinth as well. I've been finding that I don't much care for floral scents, at least on me, but the mint (pennyroyal) makes this one more complex and crips, and less overtly floral. It's still not something I would wear regularly, but I'm thinking it might be a nice occasional scent in spring and summer.

Simply lovely! But as is so often the case for me, something is making me sneeze, sinuses hurt, etc. Blast my stupid alleriges! Such a perfect balance of warmth, a hint of sweetness, and a touch of earth. Subtly dramatic, something to be worn by an earth faerie to the faerie king's ball.

In bottle: Light, clean, sparkly On me: Somehow that wonderful lemon verbena (one of my favorite scents) morphs into laundry detergent on me, and not in a pleasant way. I can barely smell the tea, unfortunately, and the honeysuckle is making me sneeze. I was so looking forward to this, as I would love to have a scent that was true tea-and-lemon scented. Wet, this was perfect. Dry, it's a disaster on me.

In bottle: Cypress! With a hint of frankincense and rosemary, very sharp and green. Wet: Confusingly complex, hard to describe. Strong and more powdery than expected. Dry: Gorgeous blend! The fig's sweetness comes through and tempers the sharpness, heaviness, and dryness. I really don't have the nose or the words to adequately analyze this. Very complex, warm, comforting yet stimulating. Just wonderful! Sadly: It's making me sneeze and have runny nose and eyes. Probably the patchouli, even though there's the merest hint of it in here. Bloody hell, yet another one I love but can't wear!

Wet: all I smell is plumeria, very lovely Dry: Ah, now the pear and champagne come through! Light, lively, sweet, warm -- gorgeous! Unfortunately, it's making me sneeze. I really love this one, but my allergies don't. I've gotta go wash it off quick, before my reaction gets worse.

Interestingly, on me I can't smell the vanilla at all, just a pure floral. The gardenia and jasmine are very strong, with a slight hint of rose in the background. It's a gorgeous white floral, but I'm coming to the conclusion that I just don't like heavy florals on me, no matter how beautiful the scent.

Calliope is difficult for me to describe, because all the scents are so nicely balanced and combined that I can't really pick out individual notes. Very herbal and spicy. It also seems a little medicine-like to me, but not unpleasantly so. And warm, like a summer day in an herb garden. When it was wet, it smelled a little piney to me, but not after it dries. I quite like it, and it's mysteriously evocative. I'm just not sure it's "me". I'll have to give this a few tries to make up my mind about it.

This is yummy! I wish I had bought two bottles instead of only one. I can easily detect both the cinnamon and the clove in perfect balance. For the first couple of minutes, there was also a strange smell that I can't describe and didn't like. Perhaps an aspect of the white pepper? Fortunately, that faded fast, leaving just a hint of something a bit earthy to round out the cinnamon and clove. The perfect spicy scent!

Wet: lovely almond with a hint of cinnamon Dry: The almond fades and the cinnamon gets stronger. The two are very well balanced, and I love them a lot. Unfortunately, on me the neroli is way too flowery. It would be great in some other blends, but I don't like this combination of spicy/nutty with sweet flowery. In contrast, I love Three Withces, which is similar but all about spice.

I almost adore this. I absolutely love the figgy, coconutty, and slightly green components of the scent. And then the undernote of sandalwood jumps in with a creepy, off-kilter note. Mind you, I like sandalwood in some other combinations, but my nose just doesn't like this particular combo. Sorry, Beth, but for me, this just doesn't quite make it.

Okay, I seriously wonder if I got a mislabelled bottle. It says it's Hamadryad, but I'm smelling none of the notes anyone else mentioned. All I can smell is oil of wintergreen (what Ben-Gay smells like). No other notes at all, just pure, strong wintergreen. YUCK!! I don't even want this frimp in my house, let alone in the same room with me.

A chilly, bright perfume: flurries of virgin snow, crisp winter wind and the faintest breath of night-blooming flowers. Wet: strange plastic sweet smell Dry: The plastic smell completely disappears, fortunately. Leaving a scent that's so well blended that I have trouble picking out individual notes. Cold, sweet, complex, with a strong throw. Kind of like fruit, kind of like very light mint, kind of herby, definitely a little ozone. A lovely, haunting scent. But I'm afraid it just isn't "me", especially with such a strong throw.

I am in love! Wet: spices but with strange bitter overtones Dry: Sumptuous, perfect ginger and spices with a hint of honey and cream. Makes me purr, sniff and purr some more. This is what heaven smells like! I already ordered another 5ml, and I may order a third as well.

Wet: buttery vanilla rum, very enticing Dry down: Rum scent immediately disappears. Strange burnt scent develops rather strongly, on top of the sugary vanilla scent. Later: Burnt ash scent fades to background but is still too prominent. Sweetness gone, leaves vanilla almond, which would be great, if not for the funereal ashes and a bitter note. My skin can really do some weird things to scents!

I wish I could smell the lime like most everyone else, but I can't detect even a faint whisper of it on my skin. This smells almost like pure jasmine on me, but something (perhaps the tuberrose?) adds a strong powdery effect that I dislike. It is also overwhelmingly strong on me and makes my mouth taste soapy. This is a huge disappointment to me, because I love the idea of white flowers mixed with citrus. I'm so sad that the lime is hiding!

Wet: pure orange oil, sharp and bitter Dry down: The bitterness fades, leaving a lovely orange scent mixed with clove. I don't know what figs smell like, but maybe they smells like cloves? On me, there is none of the sweet smell that others mention. It's very sharp, bright, and spicy. I love it! Side note: This is also wonderful layered with Bliss! A perfect cold weather scent, so warming and cheerful. It smells like Constant Comment Tea, which I love to sip in winter.

Wet: citrus, spice, sharp and clean, reminds me of a clove-studded orange Dry: less citrus and clove, more flowery (I guess that's the heliotrope?) Very warm, round, and welcoming, rather complex, nicely balanced. Sitting by the fireplace on a late winter afternoon with the sun streaming in through a southwest window. After 15-30 minutes: On me, the citrus and clove disappear quite quickly, unfortunately. It leaves a lovely, warm floral and maybe musk or amber (not good at naming scents), but I liked it better earlier when it was more complex. Before long, this fades into my skin but leaves a slight warm glow. Very lovely but not as unique and sumptuous as it started out. If I had an imp of it, I'd definitely keep it, but I'm not sure yet if I really want 5 ml of it. It's beautiful, just not sure it's me.

Yum! I'm becoming addicted to foody scents. In the bottle and wet on me: sweet but with a hint of sour plastic Dry down on me: All the sour and plasticy scent vanishes, leaving nothing but bakery-scented goodness. Vanilla, creamy icing or cheese, a hint of coconut to my nose, perhaps a faint whiff of lemon. Warm, comforting, delicious! I have to fight the urge to lick it. Medium throw. Haven't worn it long enough to gauge its lasting power. A definite keeper!

Bliss! Absolutely perfectly named. I've been looking for the perfect chocolate scent for a long time, and before this, the best I could find was Comptoir Sud Pacifique's Amour de Cacao. Well, Bliss is better! And less expensive, and I can use it to scent my own oils, lotions, and such. I'm in chocolate heaven! Bought this in an imp: now I'm off to order a 10ml for me and another for my niece.

Add me to the long list of people blown away be a frimp they would never have ordered. This is a stellar, knockout scent! In the bottle -- complex and sweet Wet -- less sweet and a dry tanginess emerges Drydown -- If I stick my nose directly on my wrist and snort deeply, there's a sweet, decay-like scent. But from even a centimeter away, the sweetness is barely discernible. From other people's pineapple comparisons, I'm guessing that my skin eats most of that note, which is good. But there's just enough of it to give a substantial roundness to this scent, an ineffable richness. That element actually makes this a perfect gothish scent to me. It makes me feel like a sybaritic vampire, contented and full, purring, in tattered but gorgeous velvet and chiffon. Totally not Beth's inspiration for this, I know! The other aspect of this, though, does match Beth's description. It has a very incensey scent to it, which I love. This is especially wonderful for me, because I'm allergic to incense smoke and almost all incense resins, such as myrrh, sandalwood, and patchouli. Frankincense is the only one I can use, so this is a great scent for me. I've been looking for a scent to use when I meditate in place of incense, so I'm going to try this in my heat diffuser and see how I like it. If that sybaritic vampire bit comes through, it's not going to help me meditate! But if that fades out and leaves the rest of the scent, it would be perfect. Extremely complex, well-rounded, and balanced. Simply amazing!
