Hmm...I was really hoping this would be a sexy scent on me, but all I'm getting is baby powder and Play-Doh. Amber, I caught a hint of you out of the bottle, but you vanished the first instant on my skin! Wet it was all honey on me, and then the dry-down....powder and Play-Doh. So sad.

I get almost all orange blossom/orange scents from this...fuller than the usual bright "ORANGE!" smell I usually associate with the fruit, so that must be the blood orange. This definitely smells like perfume to me (orange blossom tends to have that effect) in a way that a lot of other BPAL blends don't. At first I could smell the raspberry, but not real, fresh raspberries...more like raspberry jam or raspberry-flavored candy. It's blended in by now, though, and all I smell is a deeper, sweeter edge accenting the orange blossom. A pleasant, fruity smell, but not one of my favorites so far.

This one started out all musk and honey on me...unlike other reviewers, I don't get the wine or grapes at all! It was a bit too strong-smelling for me at first, but after about an hour I just smell a slightly musky sweetness with a tiny hint of florals. I can't pick out any specific flowery note, but there's a little of at least one of them coming through. It's barely detectable at times, though. Overall, this blend is more musky and heady even once it has mellowed to a more manageable sweetness. Sexy enough to keep, I do believe.

I'd read other reviews that warned of the Grape Kool-aid smell with this one, so at first I was worried when I opened the imp and smelled a bunch of purple...but it mellowed out nicely! The grape assault blended in with with the other berry scents (but the grape/wine is still dominant among them), and I can just barely detect a breath of thyme tying it all together. I was a little unsure about how the herb would play with the other notes, but it is barely noticeable - just a hint of something earthy and deep. Dry I find this very wearable and lovely.

This had a light, sweet, greenish smell on me, and at first I really liked it. It reminded me of being in a springy meadow running around with deer and such. After just a minute or two, though, I had to strain to smell it at all. Where did you go, Fae? I think this could be a wonderfully playful, grassy, pretty scent, but it just didn't stick around for me.

Ugh. All I got was cedar, Vicks vapo-rub, and hot garbage. Did not work well on me.

In the bottle this was ridiculously sweet - on me, it didn't change much at first. It smelled like candy, bubblegum, and some kind of alcoholic fruit (most strongly the amaretto and plum). Dry, however, it loses a lot of its punch and just sits at a comfortable old-ladyish sweetness. Almost like potpourri, but with just a hint of the sexy-candy smell from before. Not at all unpleasant - just probably not something I would wear a lot.

Huh. My roommate pulled her Satyr imp out of her perfume box just to show me how foul it was. In the imp and on my hand (I was not careful enough when opening it) it smelled like goat, hay, and pee. (That's what she had gotten when first trying it, too.) I washed and washed my hand but it wouldn't come off! On both of our boys, it smelled wonderful and sexy. On mine, it even reminded me of my precious Loviatar (I fell in love before I realized it was discontinued!) but without the leather note. On the right person, then, this perfume is fantastically musky and sensual, but on the wrong one....it's pee. Either way, it's crazy long-lasting. Take your chances.
