In the vial: Dark, gritty orange. Wet on the skin: Sweet oranges and raspberries, so much more cheery compared to how it is in the vial. Dry: It's sweet and heavy on the raspberry with a touch of orange, but it's dark at the same time. I love berry scents so this is right up my alley, and I can't detach my nose from my wrist right now.

When I initially got this, the scent was way too much and having it on my skin for too long made me feel sick. I decided to let it sit for 4 months and then retest it. In the vial: Smooth and sweet. Marshmallows and vanilla. Very creamy. Wet on the skin: Smokey marshmallows with that vanilla twist. But it's mellow, unlike the first month I had this where it was sickly sweet. Dry: Yay! I can stand having this on my skin! It's divine honestly. On me it's a really creamy, toasted marshmallow scent with lots of vanilla. I want to gnaw on my wrist.

In the bottle: Musk, and dead leaves. Not overpowering or strong at all. Wet: The musk and amber incense really comes out on my skin. The subtle dead leaf-y scent is sitting in the back, next to the white cocoa. My oh my, this is heavenly and chilly so far. Dry: I can't stop sniffing at my wrists. On my skin, it's a combination of musk, amber incense and a lick of dry leafy goodness, giving it a woodsy twang. This reminds me of a chilly autumn afternoon. It's just beautiful.

In the imp: Patchouli and pine. Oh. Wet: Much more tame patchouli with orange. Smoky. Dry: Nice blend of patchouli, though it has faded a bit, with orange, and I detect the slightest hint of ambergris. I like it, and it gets even better the longer I wear it.

In the imp: Lily of the valley, opium, & a touch of sandalwood. Wet: Sandalwood really coming out, blends very nicely with the lily of the valley and opium. Dry: This dries down to a nice light blend of sandalwood and floral notes, but the sandalwood definitely is the dominating note in this on me. It's pretty but not one I'll reach for often.

In the imp: Lime, cranberry and booze. Wet: It's still very fruity, but not as boozey. Dry: Lime-y alcohol. Meh, not for me. I'm not huge on booze scents but I still like to try them.

In the imp: Chocolate and cherries with a whisper of rose. YUM Wet: Cherry and rose, with chocolate underneath it just saying hello. Dry: Powdery rose and a teensy bit of cherry. Sigh. This is like Black Phoenix all over again! D: I really wish this worked on me. Damn my skin chemistry!

In the imp: VERY strong lime and hibiscus Wet: The musk is coming to life, and the lime has softened. Dry: On the dry down it turns out to be a nice, well-blended combination of hibiscus, lime, and a little bit of musk. Very lovely! Probably more appropriate for warmer months.

In the imp: Wet, green and floral. Wet: Hasn't changed much, but it's kind of a warmer, springy type green. Dry: This is one of the first BPAL imps I ever acquired, about a year ago, and I fell in love with it the minute I tried it. It's a really dreamy green and floral scent. A TINY bit sweet, in a good way. To me, this is what spring and summer smells like (or should, anyways.) LOVE it.

In the imp: Buttery cinnamon. And why do I smell pears? It works though. Very interesting. Wet: Cinnamon is stronger, but still has something sweet and soft underneath it. Dry: Pretty much the same as the wet stage, but the cinnamon is a tiny bit stronger and it's overall spicier. It's very hot. I like it! This does seem to wake me up from the afternoon drowsies, too.

In the imp: Sweet and green. Herbal. Wet: The same.. kinda piney. Dry: On my skin it's just herbaly and piney. No honey whatsoever. Not my thing.
-
In the imp: Fruity bubblegum. Strawberry I think! Yum. Wet: Creamy and sugary strawberries with other delicious fruits. Dry: Same as above, but is a lot more creamy and just heavenly! I really like this, but only wear it when I'm feeling down and want a pick-me-up or on cloudy, dreary days.

In the imp: Plum, fig, gardenias and a bit of rose. Really interesting combination of fruits and florals. Wet: Heavy on the plum, with gardenias, and a little... citrus? A couple other notes I can't quite describe. Dry: I can't really pick anything out, it dries down to a fantastic fruity and floral blend. I really like this, it seems to work well on my skin.

In the imp: Dragon's blood, slightly fruity. Wet: Same as above, with a tiny bit of amber. Dry: Once again, same as above. Kinda disappointed that nothing has changed, but ah well. Dragon's blood is lovely, as is amber.. I guess it's just my weird body chemistry! It's nice, very warm and sensual.

Deadly nightshade honey. In the imp: Very green. Wet: Mm, the honey comes out but it's still a very "green" scent. Dry: Where did the honey go? It's straight up soap on me. Hmph. If only my body chemistry was better.

In the imp: Dirty and wet rose geraniums. Mossy. Wet: Same as above, though much more floral and it doesn't seem so "moist," so to speak. Dry: Floral and mossy dirt. But it's not in a bad way, nor is it dry, it's actually kind of pleasant. It's not something I'd wear often, but I'll probably bring out this imp in the spring.

In the imp: Gritty and herbal-y. Wet: Smoky/spicy fig. Still herbal-y. It smells kinda dirty. Dry: Wow, this pulled almost completely herbal on me. Barely sweetened by the figgy-ness. It's alright but not for me.

In the imp: Sweet, juicy berries. But there is something dark behind it. Wet: Way more green and woodsy, but still has the lovely berry goodness. Dry: *Sighs* I'm deeply in love with this. Forest berries and sage, with the tiniest bit of green tea. I love anything with berries, and this is no exception. I need a bottle of this.

In the imp: Very sweet apricots. Wet: Musky, apricot still very strong. Dry: Apricot, musk, and the tiniest bit of orange. I love the smell of apricots, peaches, etc so I love this. A really great scent for warmer months.
-
In the imp: Calla lily and sandalwood stand out to me. Wet: Kinda incense-y now, but the calla lily overpowers everything (which I don't mind.) Dry: Strong calla lily and frankincense.. It's pretty. Not exactly for me though.
-
In the imp: Jasmine, honey, and smoky vanilla.. *sighs* Wet: Olive blossom comes through and makes it a bit more green.. Unfortunately lost the honey goodness though. Still heavenly so far. Dry: Hello sandalwood.. This is such a lovely scent. Gorgeous jasmine, vanilla, sandalwood, and a bit of olive blossom. This is blended beautifully so it was kinda hard to pick out individual notes! I REALLY like this.

In the imp: Strong on the cloves, there's some cinnamon and orange too. Wet: Cloves, still. And patchouli. A little bit of orange. Dry: Bye bye orange, it's just cloves and patchouli now. Meh, not really my thing. *shrugs* I'll just use this for layering.

Bust out the dzang dzi! This scent honors the zombies of Chinese lore. Mandarin orange, white musk, mango, and white sandalwood. In the imp: Sandalwood and mandarin orange. Wet: Same as above, but softer. Dry: Light sandalwood and orange. This scent is *extremely* soft.. Or my skin just eats this up in an instant. Sigh, disappointing. It smells great in the imp. D: I do recommend trying it though, everyone's experience with this seems to vary a LOT so maybe others would have better luck than me!

In the imp: Musky and figgy Dragon's Blood. Wet: Mm, once it hits my skin it gets really spicy, but it's sweetened by the fig and currant. Dry: Smoky, but sweet, Dragon's Blood. It's beautifully spicy and kinda sexy too. Love it.

In the imp: Cherries. Wet: Cherry and fresh lilies! Dry: Same as the wet stage, but the cherry is a bit more tame. I LOVE lilies (and cherry!), so I think this is gorgeous.
