    Absinthe

Fall under the spell of our Green Fairy! An intoxicating blend containing wormwood essence, light mints, cardamom, anise, hyssop, and the barest hint of lemon. Minty and fresh in the bottle with a hint of sweetness. I was worried it would be all mint and I would smell like wintergreen all day, but it quickyl dries down to a much more sophisticated blend. After 30 min. all that was left were notes of anise and cardamom with a touch of lemon zest. Very nice

    The Lion

I like the lion. Spicey ginger and amber combined into a unique and warm scent. Dries down to almost a pure amber note on my skin, but still very lovely. Going to have to get a big bottle of this one.

    Ephemera

Soft floral with a hint of violet. This is really pretty, but I'm not a floral person. Dries down to a violet note with a bit of chamomille. Sadly the scent was gone after 30 min or so

    The Hanging Gardens

I found a fruity floral I can tolerate... in fact, I love this scent. I can pick out notes of figs, pomegranates, pears, plums and sweet grapes. But there are also flowers too, plumeria and rose. Normally I can't stand rose, but the rose is very gentle in this scent.

    Delirium

Non compos mentis, indeed! A contrary, conflicted scent, bubbling with merry madness. Contains apple, rose, and lemon. Lemons and apples! Whoa... odd combination. Very pretty scent, but nothing I can see my self EVER desiring to wear. Fruit notes and I don't blend well together. This one is going in the swap pile.

    Velvet

Velvet is absolutely decadent! In the vial, the richness of the cocoa is almost overpowering; but there is hint of something spicey underneath. On my skin the sandalwood and vanilla notes come out and mix perfectly. Such a warm and comforting scent. After 30 min, the scent is purely sandalwood and myrrh with an underlying sweetness. Deffinately a keeper.

    Hetairae

Very nice... honey and ylang ylang. The warmth of the honey note is so perfectly blended with the ylang ylang. As it dries, the spicey clove comes out. This is really delightful. Hetairae has some staying power too, I could smell the little dab I tested all day. Deffinately a keeper.

    Venice

In the vial it smells SO good. Crisp lemon and sweet floral. As soon as it dried, the lemon was gone and the jasmine took over, overpowering the hint of rose. Ugh Jasmine is not a good note for me

    Kumiho

Wow, this is delicate and delicious on the skin. Ginger and tea, yumm. Deffinately a spring/summer scent. Very simple, very clean.

    Kabuki

Cherry cough drops! The synthetic cherry is overpowering and it doesn't fade the way most fruit notes do on my skin. There is a hint on anise, but nothing else. Sadly this one if off to the swap pile

    Dorian

Oh Dorian- I love this scent. A 10 ml bottle is on my x-mas list. Vanilla, sweet tea and musk. It's so simple and clean. Suprisingly it lasts FOREVER on my skin before fading to a nice vanilla note. I wear this one on a daily basis, it's one of the first things I put on when getting dressed in the morning.

    Jailbait

Just like everyone above- BUBBLE GUM- Wow. This smells delicious. I'm not sure this is something I would want to wear... I'll be craving a big cherry blow-pop all day! Jailbait didn't last long at all... could barely smell it after 30-45 minutes

    Pumpkin Patch IV (2005, 2006)

I love this PP blend. The pumpkin is so rich, sweet and buttery but the sandlewood keeps it from being too foody. Dried down to delicate sweet pumpkin note with minimal sandlewood. Perfect Autumn scent.

    Beatrice

Normally florals and I DO NOT get along, but then Beatrice came along... She's lovely, feminine, floral, spicey and sweet. I'm deffinately going to have to chase down a bottle of this. Beatrice is so clean, refreshing and delicate I could wear it every day.

    Wanda

First impression: A glass of sweet, sweet red wine. I love it already. As it dries, a hint of musk is detectable. After 30 minutes, the wine is still strong and delicious smelling with traces of musk and warm leather. It's so feminine with a stong sexual energy. Deffinately getting a bottle. *adds Wanda to x-mas list*

    Midway

This scent is DELICIOUS. Cotton candy and funnel cakes *drool* It's really has some staying power too! Applied this morning and it's still going strong. Softens to a nice vanilla cake scent with just a hint of extra sweetness.

    Juke Joint

I love this scent. It's so simple. Burbon+ sweet vanilla mint= perfection Sadly it only lasted 30 minutes or so on me. This one is going on my x-mas list!

    Haunted

Haunted fades instantly to nothing but amber on me It's really delightful, but I was hoping for a little more musk.

When you need something comforting or cheering

Aunt Carolyn's Joy Mojo! For crappy mornings and long days at work, this stuff is amazing!

    Mi-Go Brain Canister

First impression- fruit salad with extra mango- yumm- On the skin- Fruit disapeared once dry, replaced by flowers , powder and ?black pepper? ... oh my... Way to floral for me ADDED Nov. 11: I agree with the above discription... fruity cow poop. *eww* I'm getting my BS in animal science and spend a good bit of time at the University farm... Mi-Go smells like someone making fruit salad on a Dairy Farm! Mango and orange notes mixed with musty, half-digested hay notes. Very unsettling. I do love the squishy brain though... it's too cute. This one is off to the swap pile with it's cousin, Numb.

    Numb

First Impression: YIKES... Baby powder and old lady... hell of a combination. Thankfully the baby powder disapeared, but the old lady perfume smell is still there. After about 30 minutes, it's actually quite nice. It mellows out to a sweet floral violet scent... Gonna need to try this one a few more times... This is the first BPAL I've tried that I'm not sure if I like or not.

    Bastet

I think I found my scent... Bastet smells gorgeous. It's so clean, light and feminine. The egyptian musk is heavenly and the amber is such a warm, comforting smell. I need to get a big bottle now.
  23. Fefferbella

    Yog-Sothoth

First Impression: Smells like dryer sheets and something light and musky. Not bad. On my skin is turns quickly to a soapy, musky smell. Not unpleasant, just not something I'd want to wear. This one is headed to the swap pile.

    Snake Oil

I love Perversion, so I thought Snake Oil would be another gem in my BPAL collection. First impression: too sweet. Not my style, but I tried a drop anyway. After a few minutes, Snake Oil proved my first impressions wrong and matured into a deliciously softer version of my beloved Perversion. Yumm... Deffinately a keeper!
  25. Fefferbella

    Perversion

This is so far my favorite BPAL scent. It's so warm and delicious on my skin. The tobacco leaf and sweet vanilla-like tonka fragrance last for hours. Deffiantely the most staying-power of anything I've tried. I don't pick up the chardonay from the discription, but I do smell something similar to opium poppies, giving Perversion a sweet, seductive and very arousing mix. I LOVE this scent.
