Oranges! Fresh, juicy big ripe oranges! Normally citrus doesn't agree with my skin chemistry, but this is really delightful!

Antique amber frames a series of distorted, eternally warping clear crystal and glass notes. Wow House of Mirrors is lovely. This is the cleanest, freshest BPAL I have ever tried. I love this blend. It's hard to describe, crisp and clean are the only things that come to mind. It smells fresh and wet.

Chocolate, cinnamon and fresh figs. This is yummy. Eventually the chocolate mellows out and the vanilla note takes over. This is really sweet, but not overpoweringly foody... I like it.

This is woodsy and complex. At first I wasn't sure I liked it, but as it warmed and dried, layers of clove, sweet light florals and fresh chopped wood began to surface. This is a very strong, spicey and SEXY scent. I really love it, but it's too heavy for everyday wear. Deffinately a keeper.

Oh my... this is SO sexy. I want my boyfriend to bathe in this scent. It's so warm, rich, woodsy and spicey. Sniffing this scent is making me day-dream about all the naughty things I want to do to my boyfriend Must snag a big bottle.

Roses and Vanilla. *eww* Bearded Lady smells like a cheap generic perfume blend. The rose is sickly sweet and the vanilla is entirely too powerful for this blend. The two clash in an unsetteling way. *sigh* I really wanted to LOVE this scent based on the reviews, but sadly it's off to the swap pile.

Warm leather and rich, spicey ambers. Loviatar is a powerful, sexual blend. The first time I wore this, my boyfriend kept commenting how sexy it smelled. Leather notes seem to love my skin, and this is no exception. The musks and ambers blend to make a sophisticated complexity that keeps Loviatar from being too heavy, or overly masculine. On my skin, the leather warms up and tones down, while the spicey amber notes continues to sweeten. Very sexy.

Patchouli and Apricot... oh my. I'm at a loss with this one. At first the scent is unsetteling on my skin. Dark, rich patchouli and sticky-sweet apricots. The contrast of sharp and sweet is so unque. I wanted to dismiss this blend and toss it to the swap pile, but I just can't... I tested this imp a second time... this time it was more sweet, less bitter. I think I need a BIG bottle of this...

Another floral turned SOAP on my skin. I had high hopes for the moonflower, and for a fleeting moment I thought it just might work on my skin... but sadly, the Jasmine took over and ruined another lovely floral for me...

This smells like fresh pumpkin, butter and nutmeg. Wow. I want to lick it off my arm it smells so delicious! Foody blends tend to love me more than I love them... It's hard walking around all day at work wondering why you're craving pumpkin pie! This is deffinately a keeper, but I think I'll use it at a fall holiday room scent.

I'm kicking myself for not ordering a dozen bottles of this blend! I love Blood Moon. It's spicey, rich and complex. The cinnamon scared me a little, but it quickly dries down and behaves itself among the other notes. This scent reminds me of bonfires in the woods, camping on a crisp fall night with close friends, and dewey, misty mornings in a deep pine forrest.

Gypsy Queen was a pleasant floral suprise. Normally florals disagree with my skin and have a tendency to turn soapy. However, the complexity of this blend prevents that from happening. There are warm rich honey notes. Dark heavy incense notes and a subtle spicey smoke note. All these blend perfectly into a feminine, sensual blend, very fitting for a Gypsy Queen.

Warm, buttery homemade gingerbread cookies in a bottle. *hugs* to the lab for creating the ULTIMATE comfort blend for me! This scent brings back so many happy childhood memories of baking gingerbread with my grandmother during the holiday! Cinnamon, buttery ginger and sweet foody-vanilla!

Patchouli and Cardamam. As it dries, there are subtle hints of cinnamon. Suprisingly this is VERY foody on my skin. I smell like the kitchen at an Indian Restaurant. To me, that's a heavenly scent, but Alone is such a strong scent, it was making me CRAVE Chicken Korma Overall, I love this blend. Never in a thousand years did I expect a patchouli blend to make me smell like food, but the Lab never ceases to amaze me!

Al-Araaf is gorgeous. Sadly I would need to bathe in this scent for it to last more than a few glorious but fleeting moments. The gentle florals remind me of a field full of spring wildflowers with honeybees buzzing around. Sweet, crisp, fresh and clean.

I was worried based on previous reviews that Antique Lace would be far too powdery on my skin. Baby powder is a scent that makes me queasy and I was really afraid that this is what it would turn to... Thankfully it's nothing like baby powder. Powdery, yes; but not baby powdery. It's a fresh powder like in face powder. Sweet, but not overly sweet. The vanilla note is soft and complex, I haven't smelled another BPAL where Vanilla was such a powerful yet subtle major note. This was a pleasant suprise!

Black Opal is my favorite vanilla blend! A subtle smokey note keeps the sweetness of the vanilla from turning foody on my skin. This is a sparkling, light vanilla that reminds me of my grandmother's opal ring. Mysterious and lovely. Sadly it fades too quick for my taste, but despite that I still love it.

Oooh Thank you SO much for the suggestion!

I had such high hopes for Alice after reading the glowing reviews. I love honey notes, and this seemed like it would be perfect on me. At first Alice is gorgeous on my skin, but sadly a disturbing, plastic note surfaces... the honey remains pleasant, but fades far too quickly. After only 15 minutes Alice smells like plastic bags, faint floral airfreshner and sweetness.

Thunderbird... I'm at a loss to describe this one. It's started out fresh and woodsy. I like it so far. Warm and outdoorsy... reminds me of hiking through pine forrests in the springtime. There is an awkward note I can't really put my thumb on... maybe laundry detergent? One of those cheap "mountain fresh" scented dryer sheets... Thunderbird is real nature meets synthetic perception of nature... awkward and unsetteling...

I bought this imp just because it was called Prague. I LOVE Prague. It's one of my favorite cities... Blind imp buying never ends well for me... This starts out as a pleasant floral, but all florals go soapy on me After this turned to soap, it began to smell like sunscreen... creamy, sorta rancid sunscreen. *swap pile*

This has quickly become one of my all time favorite BPAL scents! I love warm rich red wine notes. Combined with a sweet citrus note and a hint of spicey cloves... Perfection. The wine note isn't boozy at all, which is a plus when wearing this to work (don't want the boss to think I'm drinking on the job like the time I wore Jolly Roger!)

Yummy! Brown sugar, honey, sticky maple syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg. Wet this smells like maple syrup, but as it dries, the rich spices really come out. I also detect a slightly boozy note in this, like a sweet bourbon or dark sugar-cane rum. This is fun, festive, autumn scent!

This is a great thread... I'm looking for a blend to give my sister-in-law. She's due with her first baby any day now, and I think a BPAL scent that's comforting for both mom and baby would be a great gift... Any suggestions? (She's having a girl if that makes a difference in suggestions)

Crisp Lemon-lime citrus notes, fresh zesty green herbal mint sprigs, sweet vanilla-sugar and creamy raw coconut! Wow. I didn't think this would be a scent I could wear, but yet again... the lab amazes me. The only note that really carries after it dried was the coconut and vanilla. The sharp mint and citrus faded quickly. This is so unique. I love it!
